August 31 of 31

Sean woke up this morning with two swollen little pockets on his bottom gums. I am hoping this mean he'll have his bottom teeth soon! They are sooo swollen, and it's very visible. I knew his feeling under the weather lately was attributed to something! I can't wait for his first tooth to come in! I will be checking every day for that little guy to push his first tooth out! It's about time!

We left by noon today (2 hours past when I wanted to leave!) to go to Mississauga, Ontario (just past Toronto) to visit with Jamie's step-family. We stayed at his Step-brother's house. Since it's about a 7 hour drive to his place, I brought some knitting in the car.

I cast on for Jamie's anniversary socks. 19 days until our 2nd wedding anniversary. I think I can do it. And these beautiful Rosewood knitting needles I'm using, are just absolutely smooth. I got them with a gift certificate that Jenn gave me for my birthday.

Here is Sean unpacking his suitcase in Toronto. He was very excited to finally arrive in Toronto. He didn't really want to be in his car seat any longer. (I fear the car ride home).

Hope everyone is having a great long weekend!

35 Weeks

Sean is 35 weeks today. Only 3 more weeks until Sean has been outside of my stomach as long as he was inside! (He was born exactly at 38 weeks). Things that I have learned:

1. I’m definitely not always the one in charge
2. The extra baby weight doesn’t melt off magically and instantly like I hoped
3. Self-time daily to replenish my well being is very important
4. It is okay for him to cry…well sometimes
5. There is no snooze button on Sean's alarm clock
6. Always be prepared with bibs and bottles wherever I go
7. Getting laundry done, has become a new accomplishment
8. He is only a baby once, I must cherish every moment
9. I shouldn't laugh when he gets his cute crying face after I say no.
10. Baby-proofing the house is definitely in need. This kid is very mobile.

My mother's house keeper Anna came over today and spent 7 hours cleaning my house. My bathroom is spotless (and dust-free from the grouting (all done!) and my floors are all washed, carpets vaccumed, fridge was even cleaned out to the shine. But, I did do some work myself today. I did go through my clothes and get rid of whatever I didn't want (I gave them to Anna and she goes through first for herself and the rest she sends back to Poland for her sister & family). I re-organized where I am keeping my clothes now, because my closet was just not convenient. (Using the closet for other storage purposes). I got a LOT done on the new shopping cart for my website. That should be up & running VERY shortly! (I am very excited for that). And I got every last pieces of laundry done. Nothing has to be washed. I feel great knowing that I'm going away for the weekend, and the laundry is all done.

Have you seen this really cool art? I would love to do something like this in my house! (Maybe after I move!)

My friend Patty is hosting a mitten swap if anyone is interested. You can check it out here. (Sorry Patty for the delay in mentioning it)

I also lack in mentioning that not too long ago I won a little contest over at Raesha's blog. A cool Target environmentally friendly shopping tote. I can't wait to get it in the mail.

No knitting tonight, but there will be tomorrow on our 8 hour drive to Mississauga. (Last time it took us 8 hours to get there, including traffic). I'm almost all packed, Sean's stuff is not, but that will take me a few minutes in the morning to do.

I'm going to try to get to bed early tonight, not really feeling too well. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night all congested and with a sore throat. Right now I'm feeling okay, but I wasn't last night. Sean's doing better today, but he still has a little bit of a runny nose, and I've been giving him tempra every 4 hours or so. I am hoping we both don't get worse!

My Contest #2 Answers (SP11 Robyn's Group)

I've got a contest running for my SP11 group. I figured I'd join in on the fun. So here are my Q&A's:

1. What is the one knitting accessory you could not live without?

That would definitely have to be stitch markers. Especially handmade ones.

2. If you're heading on vacation, do you take knitting with you?

Socks or any lightweight project. If I'm going by car, I'll take any project because it's my car and it can be left without any worries.

3. Where have you travelled to that you'd consider your favorite spot?

Europe. Been three times (1998, 2002 & 2006) and love everything about all the places I've been. Is that too general? LOL.

4. What is your favorite knitting book at the moment? Do you own it?

Fitted Knits & yes I do!

5. Do you listen to podcasts? Which is your favorite(s)?

I have not yet listened to any podcasts, but I have three downladed. Lime & Violet, Scraphappy & She Knits. I do have every intention on listening to them! (Eventually!) (It's on my list of non-chores things to do!)

6. If you could only knit with 1 color for the rest of your life, what color would that be?

PINK!

7. If you were far into a project and then noticed a mistake near the beginning what would you do?

Depends on the mistake. If it's huge & noticeable, why didn't I notice it before? If it's tiny & not noticeable to the eye, I'd just leave it. Unless my son accidently grabs my needles and I drop too many stitches to fix, then maybe I'd re-knit after frogging!

8. Where is the most unsual spot you've ever knit?

At the Jewish General Hospital in the post-pardum wing after Sean was born (labor was too difficult to knit while hooked up to too many machines while lying down and not being able to move).

August 29 of 31

Today I got some stuff done around the house, did a LOT of laundry (it really never ends) and cleaned up my office. I can now see the floor in there! The reason I couldn't? There was a LOT of yarn in my office from a recent order I placed. More about that as soon as my shopping cart software for my website upgrade is working (I'm hoping tomorrow!) Almost all the kinks are worked out!

Here is progress on Sophia. I am loving it. I can't wait to see how it turns out. It's definitely a long knit. Takes me a while to get through 1 row. (Almost 200 stitches on one row). At least in 4 rows I get to do the first decrease row to start shaping!

Here is a close-up of the pattern! I am just in love with it. And the color too - a dark fuschia, it's going to look great. I hope it's done by the winter!

My clicker for my house alarm (Yes no need to punch in the alarm code anymore!) I have a "Stay" button (man standing in house), "Away" button, (man walking away from house), and unlock button. The panic button was disarmed because it accidently went off once in Jamie's pocket and sent the police. Not a good thing. Anyhow, as you can see, the part that is supposed to go on your key ring broke. I have a dilema. Should I knit it a cozy to then hang on my keychain? Otherwise, it won't stay on my keychain..... Debating it.... we'll see!

Tonight I went to the NDG Knitting Meet-up. It was sooo good to get out of the house. Sean woke up last night at 2:45 am sick. Runny nose, congested, slight fever, coughing. I am hoping he's cutting a tooth. (It would be about time!) And now, getting home from an awesome night out with my knitting friends, my throat is killing me. It hurst to swallow. I hope I am not getting sick. I'm hoping it's just because I talked too much tonight (LOL). I am going to go to sleep, and see how I feel in the morning. (So happy I have someone coming to clean my house tomorrow!) YEY! Because I'm surely not feeling too great right now.

8 Months

Sean is 8 months old today. 4 more months until the big first birthday! I cannot believe how close it's getting. Makes me feel old! (Ok, just kidding, I don't feel old!) With a very mobile kid, who is almost walking, (really!) I am chasing after him, and feeling young!

We have good times every day. We like to laugh and scream & play with lots of toys. (Literally)

We also have moments that are to be cherished forever. I love giving him kisses, and I can't wait for him to know how to give kisses back!

This afternoon we went swimming for a bit in my parents pool, however even though the pool was at 95 degrees, I was a little bit cold in the water. I am hoping Sean was okay. He still seemed to have a good time! Maybe it was because the air around was a little bit cooler than the actual temperature of the pool!? I think it's time to get new sunglasses, these ones barely fit him anymore!

This evening on the way home from my parents house, we picked up some groceries at the IGA near my parents house. This location in particular accomodates young children, and Sean got to go into a Little Tikes Car while I did my groceries. The basket for my to put my groceries was behind the car. Cute! I had to take pictures and I'm super glad that I had my camera with me!

This evening Jamie & I watched the Power of 10 because 2 of the Big Brother 8 housemates were on the episode, and then we watched Big Brother right after. I got a few more rows done on Sophia. It's a long knit with almost 200 stitches per row! But it's coming along great, and I love the way it's turning out! It may take me a few months to finish this sweater though, it'll be my first sweater for myself!

I put an air freshner in the hallway between my place and the kid's apartment, and so far so good. I do not smell the smoke right now, and I think they migrated to the back balcony for smoking, because the chairs that were on the front balcony are now gone. Good!

I've also been working really hard on upgrading my shop's website, I am hoping to have that up & running by the weekend before I leave to Toronto (Mississauga) for the weekend.

August 27 of 31

While out this afternoon picking up some plastic containers at Walmart, I stopped into the photolab to see if Sean's photos happened to be there early. They were! I am not 100% happy with them, (double chin!?) but they are cute. I am re-doing them on Thursday. There is another background that I like, and I'm hoping this time no double chin. It's still cute though. (Also when they take the shot, the screen they show it to you on is soooo small and it's so pixalated, it's nasty! So it was really hard to tell and I didn't notice the double chin thing going on, otherwise, I would have asked her to re-take the photo).

Today, I got some amazing stuff into the shop. However, I am waiting for my new shopping cart to be up & running on my website before I list all that goodness. However, I will not disappoint! That I promise!

All 4 of my McGill student tenants have moved in. They are loud. They walk heavy like an elephant. I hope this it's just the shuffling around of them moving in.... I'm hoping this noise settles down. They smoked pot this morning at 9:30 am on the front balcony. OY. I later on had a "chat" with them, and mentioned that if they want to smoke, no problem, I don't care, just to do it in the back porch, not on the front porch, as there is indeed a rabbi that lives next door. They were cool with switching locations for that, actually they don't have a choice. I do know their parents phone numbers! (Their parents obviously don't know they smoke pot). I won't be mean like that and call, but I can use that to my advantage should I need to threaten them for poor behaviour. Gosh, I really feel like a "mommy" now!

Tomorrow morning Sean & I are going swimming at a friends house with her son who is just a few weeks younger than Sean, and then to see my parents for a bit (They want to see Sean). Tomorrow night I have dinner with a friend, and I am looking forward to that. Haven't seen her since before my birthday.

I have been working slowly but surely on the Stitch Marker Exchange partners. It's taking me a little of time, but if you are waiting for a partner, please be patient with me.

I was able to knit a bit (we're talking a little bit only) on Sophia tonight while watching the last two weeks of Entourage (Still have Sunday's episode to watch). We were a few episodes behind.

August 26 of 31

Today we had our cousin Oliver's 1st Birthday party. There was no crying during the singing of happy birthday this time. Phew! Sean even let us put a birthday hat on him, without any complaints or fussing! He wore it well too!

During the party, Sean needed some mommy time to have his bottle. I don't mind - I love sitting with him. He looks too comfortable I think!

We took some photos outside in my cousin's backyard. I love this one of Sean & I.

The cousins. Robyn & Sean, Jenn & Jakob, Lisa & Oliver (the birthday boy). Notice we all have boys? Someone has to have a girl already!!!

Sean loved playing on Oliver's tractor. I think he's going to have to ask his grandparents very nicely for one of his own (Hint, hint mom & dad... your grandson would like one of these, maybe for his birthday?) He looks too cute behind the wheel!

This evening Jamie & I chilled and watched some TV. Big Brother 8 was on and before that we watched (while I napped a few minutes) Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader? Too funny that show! Tenant number 3 moved in, and the last guy comes tomorrow. I love that they offered to me post-dated checks for the entire year, so that means I don't have to see them (unless I run into them in the hallway outside the doors) or if they have any landlord things for me to take care of. *Hoping* that we'll sell the house for the spring, I am glad to hopefully only have about 8-10 more months of hearing people walk above us. It sucks when a door gets slammed, or they jump or walk like elephants. (It's already started).

Tonight I also grouted 1 more wall in my bathroom. I secretly enjoy grouting - hee hee. I find that a weird thing to like to do - but it's fun! Making sure the grout gets into between all the tiles, and using the tool that you use, I dono... it's just fun. I can't describe it. I have 1 more wall and a bit to go, which I will finish tomorrow, since Thursday my mother's house keeper Anna is coming to clean my house. You see my mother doesn't need her for three weeks, since my mother is remodelling the kitchen, it's being gutted and all the work that is the messiest is during the next 3 weeks, so my mother is sending her house keeper one day each week to each kid. I get her this week, because I wanted the mess from the bathroom (ceiling was just replastered/painted after that issue with fixing the pipes from upstairs), and I have a list of specific things I want Anna to do. It'll be so nice to have her clean my house! And wash the floors! (I hate washing floors!) However, I must keep busy with Sean on Thursday, because Anna loves him, and I don't want her to get distracted from the work! She's good at yapping too! Yep, excited to have someone do some work around here on Thursday!

Tonight, Sean accidently grabbed my knitting. I've been working on Sophia. I ended up dropped a lot of stitches, and it was beyond fixable, so I frogged the entire thing. This actually worked to my advantage because a) there was a long tail after doing a long-tail cast-on, and I hated wasting that much yarn (now it's all good after re-casting on), and b) there was 1 error in a stitch a few rows back, and it was driving me insane, however, at first I didn't have the heart to frog, but it was a very noticeable error. Well, that took care of that. Sean didn't do it on purpose, obviously, he's a baby, but it gave me an excuse to start back. I'm almost back to where I was before, I managed to get some knitting on it done.

In other knitting news, I must must must cast-on Jamie's Anniversary socks. 23 days left until my 2 year wedding anniversary. Better get cracking on them! (No rush though, Jamie says they don't have to be done for that exact date). On top of the socks, I'm getting him the Habs Practice Jersey (the new Reebok one), and also a box of hockey cards for him to open. (He collects hockey cards). I need to go see his buddy at the card store around the corner from our house (how convenient for Jamie's stash), and see what to get him.

Thanks for all the compliments on my Turtleneck Shrug. I absolutely LOVE it, and can't wait for it to be weather to wear it. It fits great. And what a fun & easy knit.

Tomorrow morning my sister is coming bright & early to baby-sit Sean. I have some business to take care of in the morning, and I am very excited about that. More about that soon. I also should try to get to the rental board, but I think that if the Green Metro Line is still down, that may cause me problems, because I was planning on taking the metro there, and not having to find parking, or find the place. I think in that case, I'll wait until the metro is up & running, and then go. I heard there was part of a building that collapsed downtown, and that is what is causing the Green Line to be down. I better look more into it. However, it's absolutely no rush for me to go tomorrow to the rental board (against my ex-tenant for the damages), but I also don't want to delay it any longer. You know?

August 25 of 31

Stats:
Pattern: Turtleneck Shrug from Scarf Style
Yarn: 2.79 skeins of Cascade 220 Quatro in Color #5014
Needles: 4.5mm/7US
Timeline: Friday August 10th, 2007 - Friday, August 24th, 2007 (Two weeks)

I love it! But this weather was way too hot & muggy to even photograph myself in it!

Falling asleep after a bottle in his playpen. The kid must have been zonked! And yes, this kid has a LOT of toys. I think it's possible he has more toys than I have yarn?

I've decided to destash my Recycled Sari Silk that I bought in the winter. I can't find a project I want to knit with it. I paid 60$ CAD for all three skeins, and I'm willing to part with all three for 45$ CAD (plus shipping or delivery or pick-up in Montreal (Free delivery or pickup!)). Anyone interested? I'd like it to go to a good home where someone will knit it up. This yarn is smoke-free, and pet-free as well. (I don't let the cats near my yarn!) (They prefer purses anyhow and one likes plastic bags, but that's a whole other story). Email me if you're interested.

I don't understand people who can't be alone. First off, I love alone time. Jamie and I each love our alone time. We both like to be with each other, but we can often hang out by ourself within the same house. But that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about people who cannot be without a relationship. I just can't understand people who jump into another relationship after just getting out of a relationship with someone else. How can someone jump into a new relationship when a recent wound is still healing? I just don't get people. It took me an entire year before being able to start a relationship (with Jamie) after breaking up with my ex (my only other relationship that lasted more than 1 year). I am not saying I hurt for an entire year, but it took me time to trust again, and it took me time to be myself before being myself + 1. I am not saying that I didn't "date" during that year, because I played the field, checked things out, hey a girl needs to have fun, right? But a serious relationship? I just don't get those people who jump from one to another. It's like they can't exist unless they have the +1. Does this even make any sense? I am not talking about married people. I am talking about a situation after ending a relationship with someone. Make sense?

I lost a friend recently, (by choice), and it sort of hurts. I am not going to say it doesn't, but I made the right decision. This friend is a little bit younger than me (which shouldn't make a difference), and while I got married, and bought a house, and had a baby, this friend didn't mature, and move onto the next page of life, like I did. I found it hard to communicate with this person, felt like I had nothing in common anymore, nothing to say. Also - there are other reasons involved as to why I cannot be friends with them anymore, and it's hard. What do you do in a situation like that? Move on, right? It's too bad, because we used to have really good times together, but then life brought us in two different directions. I wish this old friend best of luck in life, but I really hope that this friend realizes the things that they did to get us to where we are now and to why I ended the friendship. Once harm is done to any of my loved ones (I'm not talking physical harm, but emotional/mental), then that's it, c'est fini, bye-bye. I have been wanting to post about this for a while now, I just either a) kept forgetting to do so when I go to post/blog, and b) I didn't have the words to describe how I feel/felt. I still don't know if I am wording this properly, but this is the best that I can, to my abilities of understand the situation. What scares me the most, is that the things that were done were totally out of character, and was instigated by other people. It's sad to think that people stood down to really low levels. I have come to grips with all this now. And I will turn to the next page in the chapter of my life.

I'm officially addicted to Scrabble on Facebook. Anyone want to challenge me? (Michelle is currently KICKING my butt!)

Tenant number 2 moved in today. Tenant number three was supposed to be in from British Columbia, no idea where he is. And Number 4 comes Monday, although he had told me today. Weird. If they arrive when I'm not here, they can still be let into the apartment by the other kids, but they just won't get their keys until I'm home.

Tomorrow Sean & I have my 3rd cousin Oliver's 1st birthday party. I am very excited. I also hope that Sean does NOT cry during the happy birthday song.

Tonight I am working on the Stitch Marker Swap Partners. I am hoping to have those mailed out tomorrow. Stay tuned if you're waiting for a partner or two.

Must go finish Sean's laundry. He needs a cute outfit for the birthday party tomorrow. Must look his best! He doesn't get to go to many parties! I'm also working on Sophia from Debbie Bliss' Rialto book. I watched the movie Year of the Dog tonight with Molly Shannon. Really. Crappy. Movie. 'Nuff said.

August 24 of 31

I donated some money today to support Ramona in the Walk for Breast Cancer. In return, she emailed me this pattern for her socks, and I joined her KAL. I hope to be able to cast on these socks soon! I even have pink yarn ready for them! Go on over & donate whatever you can (I used my visa to do so - soooo simple!) and join in the fun, and help support the cure for breast cancer.

With a vote of 12 to 8, Frog wins. My 1 vote counted into the 12 for the frog. Frog has been ordered. It's going to be soooo cute. Sean looks great in orange. Also - he has an elephant costume (not the same one that I showed you) but for maybe 2 or 3 year old size. So, he'll be an elephant in a couple of years... but this year, he'll be a frog.

I went to A La Tricoteuse this afternoon on Rachel St. I only went because I wanted to know what the mystery yarn that I frogged was. Turns out it was Alafoss Lopi. I am happy to know now what it is!

Technically this is 4 skeins. Just, when I frogged the scarf, it ended up being 5 cakes, due to a knot. I picked up 2 skeins today, in the same colorway, and I plan on making something with it. I love the color.

Anyhow, the customer service at A La Tricoteuse is horrifying. The owners, a husband & wife team so I was told, are really rude. They don't ask if you need him, and then when you ask the husband for the 10% Montreal Knits discount at the cash when you're ready to pay, he says okay, and then she chimes in NO. He only wants to speak French to you, and she does try to speak English but in 1 word sentences. Very NOT impressed. I won't be going back there.

Today I got my business registration number! I think I had a smile on my face all the way home from the government building! There are some exciting things happening at the Robyn's Nest in the next week - so stay tuned for some updates next week. I think I am so excited I'm almost losing sleep! Finally making my dreams come true! A facelist to the website is also coming next week. Stay tuned!

Tonight I finished watching Season 2 of Bones. Very excited for Season 3 to start this fall. No date is listed yet, but I am assuming it's starting at the same time as all the other shows? I'm also looking forward to the new season of House, Nip/Tuck & CSI (Las Vegas), as well as Las Vegas (NBC).

Turtleneck Shrug. Complete. Whoohoo! I've been addicted to knitting this. What a great project. I just love it. Pictures to come tomorrow. I promise!

Tonight, again, Sean went to sleep groggy and with his Lullaby music. So far, so good with this routine thing.

34 Weeks

Look at this hair people. Sean's got the Kramer 'fro going on. He gets that from his father.

Sean is 34 weeks today. Yes, that's me in a purple shirt! I am diversifying people!! My grandmother came over today to watch Sean while I did work and says I look good in this color!
People, I am behind on emails. Please forgive me. I have 3 pages of emails in my inbox in hotmail to sort through. I will email all of them back. Just be patient if you're waiting on an email from me.
Tenant number 1 moved in today. The 1 girl. (There are 3 boys moving in on Saturday). So far so good. Went smoothly, and she is very nice. I'm hoping she keeps the boys in line!

I worked on my Turtleneck Shrug a little bit tonight while watching TV with Jamie. (Big Brother 8 - Glad Jenn's gone, rooting for Eric!) It's not done yet, but SOOO close. Check back tomorrow for an FO! (Crossing my fingers).

I am beyond exhausted. Haven't been sleeping well lately. Sean actually slept through the night last night without waking up for a bottle. Also - tonight, at just past 10pm I put Sean in his crib, awake but groggy, with the "routine" and he's asleep! I think this will be successful. Our trick is - no late afternoon to earling evening nap (NO NO!) and make sure he has just had a bottle before putting him to bed. I think we're broken the falling asleep in my arms thing. We just need to work on the naps in the afternoon! Relief!

I am working on a real shopping cart for my shop, paypal's version is not so great, but okay for the meantime. Hopefully it'll be up and running in the next few days. I need to get some technical issues solved, and figure a few things out, but it's pretty neat what I have going on. There also will be some amazing products coming my way in the next few weeks for the shop. I am very excited about that. So stay tuned! October Club kits have been selling and I am very excited about that. The yarn is going to be delicious!

I have not heard from my SP11 Pal yet, but I hear she or he is on vacation until August 29th. I hope she or he is having a good time on vacation, and I hope to hear from them when they get back! I'm very anxiously waiting the first email!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGELA! You are the bestest friend a girl could have. Hope you had a nice day. All the best today, tomorrow & for the year to come.

VOTE For Sean's Hallowe'en Costume

Please vote:
Frog or Elephant?

Sean's costume for Hallowe'en. They are both too cute, I love the Frog more, but I heart elephants. Such a tough deicision. What do you think??

August 22 of 31

Today I got some stuff taken care of, including some errands. It was nice to know that I just had stuff to do, but in what order, it really didn't matter. I like days like that.

This evening Kadi & Angela came over to celebrate Angela's birthday, which is tomorrow. Kadi tried to introduce me to spinning, but I so far cannot get the hang of it. Maybe another day.

I got a lot of cleaning done upstairs after my guests left. My 1st tenant moves in tomorrow. The rest arrive on Saturday. I wanted to do a cleaning, but surely wasn't scrubbing. I need to tidy up a little bit more tomorrow morning and take a few photos of the washer/dryer area, as I haven't taken photos of it finished. Tonight is our last night of peace & quiet above us until they go home for the summer in April. Hopefully though, next Spring we'll be moving as well.

I got A LOT of knitting done on my Turtleneck Shrug. I think tomorrow, it will be a finished object. So stay tuned for photos!! I am just in love with this project. I can't wait to finish another one of my WIP's next though.

Last night Sean went to bed and woke up again in the middle of the night. Tonight, I put him to bed a little bit later than last night, but not too late, and I'm hoping he sleeps through the night. He went to bed last night thinking it was just a nap, woke up hungry, ate and fell back asleep. I watched some TV and then put him back to sleep. He still sleeping his 10-12 hours, just not at the right hours. I need to get on some sort of "normal" schedule. Tonight he went to bed groggy, but awake still. I put him down after a bottle in his crib, on his back with his head on a little pillow, tucked him in, gave him his Nunu bear and put on Baby Einstein Lullaby Classic. It seems to be working. Not a peep and he was put down awake. I think he's since flipped himself over - last I peeked in.

Tomorrow my grandmother is going to come over to hang out with Sean in the afternoon so that I can do some work. I cannot play with Sean & work at the same time. Unfortunately!

August 21 of 31

First off, Golden Purl is having a contest. If you also tell Golden Purl that I sent you, I get an extra chance in the contest - please don't forget to mention me! (Thanks!)

This morning Sean had his last Aquababies class for the summer session. It starts up again in October, and I'm putting him in the next level up (6 months plus). At the beginning it was a private lesson, until two other mothers showed up, who I haven't seen before, but they were allowed to attend the class (weird). I thought Registration started now for next session, but not until next week.

Today I got to hang out with Kadi & Michelle. And we did a LYS crawl. It was a lot of fun. We went to Mouline, La Bobineuse de Laine, Effiloche and A La Tricoteuse (which turned out to be closed today?)

The actual original Camera Case was in my car today. I had to photograph it. And of course Michelle had to photograph me photographing it.

As you can see, Sean was a REALLY good boy while we were out yarn shopping.

Michelle picked up quite the stash enhancement at La Bobineuse de Laine.

Sean went after the Colinette Jitterbug at Effiloche. Trained him well. LOL.

And here is my loot from today:

Socks for me.

Socks for me. (LOOK PURPLE!)

Socks for Jamie.

Not sure what for me... but I loved that it had sparkle green in it!

And some 100% wool Fleece Artist Roving. Must learn.

The girls came back to my place afterwards for some pink Oreos and drinks.
This evening I watched Big Brother with Jamie and worked on my 2nd Sleeve for the Turtleneck Shrug. I'm at row 135 of 155 and then I just have to do the decreases for the shoulder. All that's next is the neck part, and I'm done. So many other things to knit, I'm hoping that I finish this one up soon.

Thursday is Angela's birthday, so she's coming over tomorrow night (Kadi too), for dinner, and we'll hang out and celebrate with some knitting. I do have some errands to run tomorrow, chores to take care of, and some Robyn's Nest stuff to do.

I must stop eating sunflower seeds. It's making a HUGE mess.
