This is the project I’ve been working on most of the summer. I started it on the 3rd of July and finished it on August 18th. It was a secret for most of the summer as it was for a gift for a fellow knitter/crocheter who follows me on Ravelry, Instagram, etc…. so I barely posted any pictures of it, and when I did, it was in black & white and you couldn’t tell what I was working on. The pattern is the ABC Bobble Blanket by Gwen Antesberger. You can see my project on Ravelry here. I used a 6mm crochet hook with the Berroco Vintage yarn as I felt the 5mm hook was making it too tight for the project. The project used a lot of yarn… 2,008 meters, 10.12 skeins! I finally gave the gift to Alexander, so I finally can show you the project! I loved it so much, I almost didn’t want to give it away.

About Me
- Knit and Purl Mama
- I am a 30-something mom who knits, and takes pictures, a lot. I am a mother to 3 adorable boys, Sean (Dec 2006), Mackenzie (June 2008) & Quentin (Nov 2010). This is my journey through motherhood, photography, the books I read, life in general and knitting, of course. Oh, and other crafts too!

Wow nice! That must have been a ton of work!
It is beautiful. :)
Absolutely gorgeous - I love it when you love a project so much you can barely give it away. Somehow means they are getting all that extra love :) I'm sure Alexander will have many cozy naps with his new blanket. Orley will love you for that!
So pretty and your friend will know how much love you put into this so very special gift.
What a fabulous gift!
