So spring started last night, at exactly 8:04 pm. Happy Spring. Now - can I start seeing some spring like weather please? I'm NOT impressed with this cold or freezing rain pellets either!

Today Sean and I slept in together - cuddling in the morning. He always sleeps in his crib, but in the morning after Jamie goes to work, we cuddle in my bed - as obviously we can't cuddle in his crib! I'd probably break it! Any adult probably would!

We eventually got our shtick together and I had some errands to run. Picked up something at my grandmother's condo (She left it for me with her doorman) and then to do a return at Coles the bookstore. I then booked a toe & nail painting with my fave girl for tomorrow, want my toes to look great in my gorgeous new shoes on Saturday night at Jamie's cousin's wedding. I picked up a new toothbrush for Jamie (the kind he used to use apparently doesn't exist anymore - I can't seem to find it anywhere - it was a Reach toothbrush - so I got him the next best one by Reach). In that same mall I returned two huge garbage bags of soda cans and bottles (Yes, I recycle and I get .05¢ back per bottle, and I even had a .20¢ beer can to return, not sure who drank that - but it was in with my recycables. I made almost 5$ right there! It pays to recycle! Especially when they're charging you the .05¢ deposit when you're buying the soda. Then I went to Walmart, did a return there too.

Then we headed home, Sean ate and took a quick nap, while I took care of some laundry and cleaning of my desk.

Sean's been trying to hold onto his bottles lately. 12 weeks old tomorrow and I think before I know it he'll be holding his own while eating!

I don't really know what is an average age for this to happen - but he really wants to take control and show he can do it!

Tonight I went knitting with the Montreal knits meetup. I left Sean at home with Jamie. It was great to get some girlie time and go kntiting! I picked up my Cascade order while there, since Ariadne Knits was there (Mary & MollyAnn) with my order. I want to make the green cabled sweater from this pattern book: Classic Elite 9080 Summertime Knits. I really want to get that patttern book - but I just have to decide is it worth it? I only want 1 pattern from it. I wish I could by the pattern just for that one sweater. This yarn will hopefully one day make my Cabled Pullover from that pattern book. Maybe I'll get it for my birthday. At least I have the yarn now - Cascade 220 Superwash Wool.

Mary and MollyAnn also brought their new shipment of Lorna's Laces. Boy was that evil - cuz I bought myself 2 skeins of Shorbet - which I had been eyeing for the longest time on Ebay. Mmmm it's delicious I almost want to eat it up!

And here is the progress on my thrummed mitten - it's coming along great. I have plenty of knitting time coming up this weekend - so I hope to get mitten number 1 done, and hopefully maybe even number 2. I also have 2 camera cases to knit this weekend - and finished my "married sock" number 1 - so that I can cast on sock number 2 for both Jamie's and my married socks (images in FO's on sidebar if you're curious - I'm calling them my "married" socks because I'm knitting the exact same pattern for both of us, just in blues for Jamie & a mixture of oranges/pinks/brown/cream for myself!)

Someone today asked me what Habs meant when I call the Montreal Canadiens that.... so -
here is the answer:

Habs is an abbreviation of "les habitants," the informal name given to the original settlers of New France, dating back to the 17th Century. So it's a natural fit for the The Montreal Canadiens, established in 1909 and marketed as a French-Canadian hockey team. Having said that, the nickname might have been the result of an error. According to NHL.com, the first man to refer to the team as "the Habs" was Tex Rickard, owner of Madison Square Garden, in 1924. Rickard apparently told a reporter that the "H" on the Canadiens' sweaters was for "Habitants." Not true. The distinctive C-wrapped-around-H logo stands for "Club de Hockey Canadien."

We won the game - 1 to 0 against Boston! Another point to help us get closer to the playoffs - is it possible? Maybe if we keep winning! Let's go les boys! Tonight was my last set of tickets from my share of the season tickets. Maybe I'll get to go to another game IF they make it to the playoffs. Here's to hoping! I am sooo proud of myself. I didn't call once during the time Jamie & I were out to check on Sean. I knew he was/is in good hands - he was being watched by my parents - whom were overjoyed to get some time with Sean! He's their first and so far only grandchild! (It's great being the first one - eh? He's spoiled rotten I tell ya!) Sean of course behaved himself while we were out - and Jamie & I enjoyed our first date out since Sean's been born alone! It was a lot of fun. (I even got some knitting time during intermissions to finish my mom's cozy below!)

Tonight I finished my mother's camera case. 2 down 2 to go. (I've done my sister's, my mother's and I have mine and my in-law's to do - all the same). Then I've gotten a request for an Ipod cozy for my sister and an MP3 (not an Ipod not sure what it is) cozy for the hubby.... (for the hubby not in the colors of the yarn above). I have enough to make 2 more cozies from this one ball of yarn, and possibly even my sister's Ipod cozy too... This ball of yarn was very economical!

Virginia of handpainted yarns has passed away over the weekend. Above is a skein of yarn that I got in a Booty Swap I participated in around Halloween of last year. I love love love this skein. I wanted to get another one just like it - so that I can do something that requires more than 1 skein - but obviously that is out of the question now, unfortunately. It's too bad - her hand painted stuff was gorgeous!


As a Secret Pal 10 hostess, I'm having another contest for my group. Contest #1 was to have your questionnaire posted. Contest #2 is to talk about your fave knitting accessory. I figured I should do the same thing if I'm asking my group to post about theirs. My fave accessory BY FAR is stitch markers. Hence why I'm hosting a Stitch Marker Exchange. I just love love love them, and I love that you can create anything you want into a stitch marker - within reason of course. You don't want them to catch your knitting - you also don't want them to be too big or bulky. And yes, I actually collect stitch markers. I just love them. Handmade ones are the best - of course. It's just way too much fun! I'm always looking for more to add to my collection. I also love making them to sell in my Etsy shop. I've actually got a TON more to post in my online shop as soon as I get the chance to! Which hopefully should be soon! (Life with a newborn doesn't allow much time for anything and I try to squeeze everything in!) So - here's my submission for my fave knitting accessory!

Last night at dinner the restaurant had these tiny little bottles on the table. The cutest things I've ever seen. I had to take one of each home.... I don't ever want to use them - they're just for show...!

For size, here is my Staedtler eraser, which I don't even know why I have, because I don't even think I own a single pencil (I'm a pen girl! Or even marker - but not pencil!)

Today Sean finally realized that his hand works for grasping things. He actually watched his hand go onto the ring and then pull it. He has been holding onto things, but today was the first time he realized that he has full control over that! It was really amazing watching him do this - he's growing too fast - really - I wish it would slow down. I want him to stay this size forever - can he?? Please?! (Today Sean's in yellow ducks - yesterday it was green frogs - gosh I love Old Navy for babies! He's officially in 3-6 month size (12-17 lbs)... my gosh, he's growing!)

Last night when I put him down to sleep - I'd say around 11pm, he woke up at 5 am to eat. I think he got too much sleep during the day - so sleeping through the night was probably out of the question. Anyhow - he had scooched himself (that is the only word I can use to describe it about 20 inches forward or maybe even more - from where I left him earlier. So - that was my cue to take everything out of his crib that was in there.... this kid is going to be crawling before I know it. Better safe than sorry - right?

Tonight I showed up to my Pre/Post Natal Aqua class to learn that the entire pool was in lanes and reserved for some tryout. No one told me that the Aqua class had been cancelled. I was in my bathing suit down by the pool when I asked if the teacher was there, and was informed that she didn't come in due to the pool being closed. I'm very upset about this, because I'm paying for a membership, that I can't seem to use because there isn't any of these classes that I'm paying to use the membership for. Two weeks ago there was no class due to the Maccabi game tryouts. Last week she cancelled the class due to her hubby's birthday being on the same day. Today cancelled cuz someone reserved the pool. And the next 2 weeks are closed due to the pool being closed for painting - which coincides with Pesach (Jewish Holiday that lasts 8 days). I go to a Jewish YMWHA.

Tonight I stupidly watched the current episode of Prison Break on TV because there was nothing else on. I think the current season is at like episode 19 or 20. I've got to start episode 1 from this season. So now I know a few things that happen in the future, ugh! Why did I do that? And then I watched 24 on tv. I worked on my father-in-law's Irish Hiking Scarf.

I am NOT enjoying working with Acrylic. It's gross against my fingers. I apologize to acrylic lovers. Really - I am not liking the feeling of it. But - I know that I have to use it - because there is no way that my in-laws will remember to not put it into the washing machine and dryer. Acrylic is the best bet. And I thought by using Red Heart Soft Touch it would be softer than normal acrylic - but no. Yeah - I'm a Yarn Snob - what can I say? Acrylic just grosses me out.

Tomorrow night Jamie & I are going on a date for the first time since Sean's been born. He's being babysat by my parents, and we're off to the hockey game. I'm very excited to see the Habs play Boston. We won Saturday night's game against Toronto - in a shootout - and it was a very good game. I'm hoping for a win tomorrow. I'm decking out in Habs gear - and I'll make sure that Sean is wearing his habs jersey at home. (He actually has one!) I hope he'll be a good boy and stay up for a bit while my parents are here, but go to bed like a good boy too! I don't mind if they keep him up while they're here - that just means that he'll sleep good when I get home! LOL. Wow - our first time out together alone without Sean! I wonder how many times I'll call to check on him! Or will I be strong and not? I know 100% he'll be fine with my parents - but I'll still worry - of course!

Alright, I should get Sean awake so he eats now and then sleeps through til morning. I don't want him waking again at 5 am - I can't do it 2 nights in a row! Some nights he can sleep 7-8 hours straight, and others, just 6-7 hours at a time. And as of now, he's been sleeping since 8 pm. Time for a snack and back to bed, and to bed for me. I've got this WILD pain in my neck - not sure from what. Maybe from multi tasking while feeding Sean - I'm not too sure. If it doesn't go away, I must cash in that 30 minute massage I got as a gift when Sean was born! I totally forgot about that!

Alright.... I smell a diaper in need of changing! Good night and happy knitting.

Sean was 100% back to himself today. I still don't know what was bothering him, but last night he came down with a fever, so I gave him some infant Tempra, he was fed, and went to bed. We stupidly put him to bed too early, and that was our own faults, because he slept his now usual 7-8 hours, but he did it until 2 am. He was up at 2 am to eat, and then around 3 am the two of us fell asleep on the couch for an hour. At 4 am I realized we were both still on the couch, so I put him in his crib, and I finally went back into bed.

Today, Sean's back to himself. Thank you EVERYONE who gave me advice on what to check for or what to do, I really just didn't understand what he was feeling, and I'm sure whatever it was, it's passed... and he's back to himself! I love my son so much, I just wanted to soothe him and make him feel better - you know? But when you don't know why your child is crying - it can be damn frustrating.

Today, I got a LOT of napping done, I've been exhausted.

This afternoon Jamie's mom and her wife came over, to see Sean.

After they left, I worked on some SP10 Participant's page stuff.

Then I got ready, and we went to Madison's for my dad's birthday dinner, which I ate the most delicious pasta with seafood. It was such a huge portion that I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. So delish! I love seafood.

Tonight upon returning home from the birthday celebartions, I worked on the SP10 Participants page some more. It's done. There are a few names missing, due to the fact that they had broken links, but otherwise they are all uploaded. I've centerized the page, I think it looks great, and each link is on their very own individual line. I had to enter the coding for that in one by one. Also - some of the links have coding to open up in their own window. I've got to finish that tomorrow. I can't sit here any longer. My neck is KILLING me, and I'm beat. Even with napping today, I don't feel 100% fully rested. And since Jamie is working tomorrow, I'm getting up to do the morning feeding, who knows what time Sean will decide to wake up tomorrow morning. I need to finish those links tomorrow, to open in their own window. It was a long and lengthy job, which I thank Excel for helping me with the work (I plugged in names, and links and then used the button that puts everything into alphabetical order once I was done!) Thank goodness for that. It would have been an even LONGER job, had I had to put every name in alphabetical order. Geez - thank goodness not! But at least the list is up - and done with for now, until tomorrow. It's functional, and that's what matters. I was getting way too many emails from people who didn't see their name up - but it clearly had stated that the list was still under construction! If only they took the time to read the notice - but I emailed every last one of those requests for where their blog link was back, and kindly told them to check back by tonight. So I'm sooo happy it's done!

Last night, before I went to bed, I bought some STR..... That's how I spent some of my tax money that I will be getting back in the mail. I'm getting back a wonderful amount this year, 95% of it is going into savings, so that we have either money for a new roof once we replace the roof on our house, or money for new couches for our house, once unfortunately Jazz is no longer with us, since he's the culprit that killed our couches and ripped them to shreds so much that he can actually go INTO the sofa! I'll post the fun colorways I purchased, when I get them in the mail. But let's just say I purchased 6 skeins I think. I got them all in lightweight, and each in a different color that I've been eyeing like you wouldn't believe! All yummy colors, of course!

I'm jonesing to knit. That will have to wait for tomorrow though - I do plan on having some knitting time then! Promised myself!

Yesterday I announced that M.K. in my SP10 Group won contest #1 for posting her questionnaire on time. I will be holding a 2nd contest soon, so stay tuned if you are in my group. I'll be putting together something for the end of the week this week. Just need to figure out what I want to do - and what the prize will be! M.K. won 2 new release movies & a popcorn at Blockbusters. Congrats M.K.!

Happy St. Patty's Day

Sean is usually a very happy baby... smiling away, laughing, and all that good jazz...

I love love love his smiles. They are just perfect.

He even wore green today for St. Patrick's day - and to be honest, that was just fluke... I totally even forgot that it was St. Patty's day until someone reminded me... So while out today, my mom picked him up a hat and we photographed him all dressed in his greenery!

And for the last 24 hours, I've been with a screaming baby, to which, I don't know what to do...

For those of you readers of mine, that have kids....

For the first time ever, I've got a screaming baby. This is a kid who only cries to let you know he's hungry. But for the past 24 hours he's been screaming like I've never heard him scream before.

He's only 11 weeks old or 2 and a half months. Is it too early for him to be teething? (I don't mean actual teeth coming in, but maybe his gums are sore?) What to Expect the First Year is being useless to me today....

He felt a little warm tonight, so I gave him some infant tempra, and now he's out cold hopefully for the night, poor kid... I want to soothe him, I just don't know this cry, it's a new one!

Any advice??


I got my wedding album today, I'll photograph what it looks like tomorrow to give you a sneak peak - all I have to say - is that it's gorgeous!!! I love it to pieces!


Tonight Jamie & I watched the Habs kick the Maple Leaf's butts.... what a great game, even if we did go to overtime.... We NEEDED that point - so that we still have a chance to go to the playoffs.... my fingers are crossed!


After the Habs game, we *tried* watching the movie Lady in the Water. It's with Paul Giamatti.

I finally got my order from amazon today with the cd I ordered. I have not bought a cd in a long time, so this was fun for me. I'm into music, but not that into music that I need to buy music. I just really wanted this cd, after seeing her commercial on the TV, and not being able to download it from anywhere (I know, I'm a bad bad girl - but I did buy the cd!) I did start spring cleaning today though, I went through all of our music collection (after watching an episode of Neat on HGTV and getting in the mood to organize) and when I was done feeding Sean (I usually watch TV while feeding Sean), I hit the stack. I realized when putting all of our music in alphabetical order, that Jamie & I have a bunch of duplicate albums (No Doubt, Green Day, Bush, Alanis Morrisette, just to name a few). I haven't figured out what I am going to do with the doubles & the cds I decided I don't want anymore, but I will probably donate them. I also realized I have a bunch of cds that belong to my parents. I wonder how those ended up in my house??? LOL. Oops, sorry mom & dad, those will gbet returned tomorrow to you.

I love this kids little hands! I've purchased a kid safe ink pad (non-toxic) so that I can stamp his hands & feet before he grows bigger, but I've only managed to stamp his feet onto card stock for future use in someway or another. However, Sean has this thing about keeping his hands clentched, so it's hard to stamp them. The only time his hands are relaxed, are when he is sleeping, and if I started inking his hands and stamping them, for sure he'd wake up. So it's a lose-lose situation. Any ideas? What's a mommy to do? I definitely want to stamp his hands before they grow too big.... hmmm....

Sean loves his baths. He loves being in the water. I can't wait to get to take him into the water for some swimming, I'm sure he will love it. I just know it. Hopefully soon I'll be able to take him.

No knitting today. I didn't get the chance. Any free time I had I worked on the SP10 Participant's list. There are over 600 or so names, and I've managed to work on about 450 of them this week. I am hoping that it's done by Sunday, and I don't see why it shouldn't be. I'll work on more tomorrow, and hopefully by tomorrow it'll be done. Just a few more names to go... then fix the HTML coding, and voila - I'm done!

Tomorrow I *finally* get my wedding album. It's a digital album that is like a coffee table book. I can't wait to get it. It was printed in Italy - and finally shipped. It's kind of my fault though - I waited a long time. I didn't have time after the wedding since I was in a one year intensive program to go through my 1300+ proofs to narrow it down to 75 pictures for the album. My photographer said that I must bring Sean in order to be able to get it from her - lol - she's dying to meet him! Finally a year and a half after our wedding (Sunday is exactly a year and a half), I get my wedding album!

11 Weeks

So here is the yummy yarn that I got yesterday at Michaels in Ottawa:

SWS by Paton's. It's 70% Wool & 30% Soy. I've never knit with part soy or even full soy (does it exist?) yarn before, so I'll let you know how it is. I bought enough for a sweater, should I want to make one. No pattern has been determined yet, but I just love love love the colors. I learned about this yarn from Cynthia. I actually think I got the same color as her - I just love love it! They had some other pretty colors, but I just fell for this one - I love pinks & browns!

Today while baking a little - Sean was fixated on the teddy bear on his bouncy chair. I think he had a staring contest with the little bear!

So, remember my silicone muffin cups? I finally decided to take out my red & blue silicone muffin cups and test them out.

I made my recipe of blueberry muffins, and carefully loaded up each muffin cup.

And voila - a dozen blueberry muffins. Hubby tested them - he says they're great. Not sure how the muffin cups will wash though. I'm thinking dishwasher for easiest - hey - if they can stand 425 degrees of heat in the oven, then they should be able to take the hot water of the dishwasher, right? I don't feel like handwashing 12 muffin cups. And if they get ruined, they were from the dollar store. I'll let you know how they are.

Here is the tag for the shirt I got for Sean. I'm not sure what Size 4 means - it comes somewhere after 18-24 month size - does it mean 4 year old size? If so, then Sean has a long ways to go before he fits into that - but hey - for 0.01¢ it's worth putting in the back of his closet until he grows into it. I thought the shirt was over 10$ - I was wrong, but close to it. And then reduced to two bucks. And then reduced again, to almost free. I'm still in shock of the price! It's never happened to me before!
And this my friends, it the 0.01¢ shirt! I think it's very cute, and very sporty for my future Montreal Canadiens star.... gotta get him on skates on the ice as soon as he starts walking! LOL

Jamie showed me this on youtube today. And then we saw it on TV tonight on the sports channel. For any hockey fan - this is great. Click here to view. Too funny. But you'll only "get" it if you're a hockey fan, and know the players. It has a little Seinfeld kick to it...

So that box that was sitting in my hallway.... all 8.04kg of it. What does that translate to in pounds - let's see - 17 and three quarter pounds... it was my father's birthday gift. And since he's opened it up, I'll share with you what it was....

A vintage cloth ringer, for the cloths he uses to wash his vintage summer car. He had been talking about this for years, and we finally found one in good working condition on ebay. I can't wait to see it in action this summer. It's actual title is: Antique Dowswell Lees and Co. Clothes Ringer with soap. Yeah, it actually came with those 3 bars of soap.


So, I'm almost done my camera case, my mother has requested one, and so has my in-laws. Boy, I better get cracking on knitting them up. I should have enough yarn left to make the last of the cases. It was only 9g per case from a 50g ball. So technically I could make 5 cases, and have some leftover. That's if the ball was really 50g to begin with!


I'm down 7 lbs and I haven't even been that strict with my diet or rather, with my lifestyle change. I didnt want to throw out all my white flour items in my house, what a waste of money that would be, so I've been slowly eating and when that's gone, it'll be replaced with whole wheat (which I much perfer anyhow)... and I'm still down 7 lbs! Go me!

Sean has slept through the night so far for about 5 days straight I'd say. I think there was one night during the weekend he didn't sleep through the night, but I think that's because he wasn't comfortable. He sleeps through the night on his stomach - which is right for him. He has really good control of his neck and he can push himself up with his arms. That's why we are okay with him sleeping on his tummy. You know - 25 + years ago, I slept on my stomach - it was the way you put a baby to sleep. And now, they say not to because of SIDS. But look how maby babies are now grown up - and had slept on their tummies. I would not have put a very newborn Sean on his stomach to sleep - but now that he can push himself up and can flip his head side to side - if he's most comfortable on his tummy - then great. Of course by instinct I wake up every couple of hours to check on him when I go to the bathroom, or don't have to go, but I'm going to bring this up to his doctor the next visit. I don't think it's a concern, but hey - it's the only way he likes to sleep. On his back - forget about it. On his side - either side - he flips himself to his tummy! Takes after his mommy - who is a stomach sleeper herself!

No knitting today. Today I actually spent the ENTIRE day working on the participants list for the secret pal 10 swap page. It's a LONG process because I have to go to each website and see what the participants has called their site (like mine for example is Knit & Purl Mama), so they are linked by their blog name, NOT by the real name. It's long, and I don't know if I can look at the computer any longer today. So I'll leave you with this funny joke that my cousin Jenn emailed me last week:

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. "Why?" my daughter asked. "Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty and probably has germs" I replied.

At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Mommy, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart." I was thinking quickly. "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mommy." We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information. "OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have to be the daddy." "Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face.

11 weeks. I love how he's just casually resting his arm against me. I also love his double chin, since he has NO neck! My parents keep teasing me about what I'm feeding him, and how much - but he's the little hungry boy - not me! Oh I love this kid more and more each day! I can't even describe my love for him - it's endless and just wild!

Today I went with my mother & grandmother to Ottawa. My mom drove both ways, and here is my knitting progress for today:

An almost finished camera case (my mom has requested one for herself as well, so I'll be making a third!) All I have to do is graft this one.

And progress on my thrum mitten! It's actually starting to look like something. I'm a little bit confused with the thumb part, so I'm going to re-read the pattern tomorrow when I've gotten enough rest.

In Ottawa we went for specific things. First we went to Pet Smart, as my mom needed some stuff for her dogs. We don't have a pet smart in Quebec. I blame it on the language problem. Then we ate lunch at Harvey's. Then we went to Michaels. I got some yummy yarn - I'll be posting that tomorrow - I bought enough for a sweater. I also got some other goodies at Michaels. We do not have a Michaels in Quebec. The closest one is at Innes Road in Ottawa, exit 112. It was exactly an hour and a half from my mom's place to get there. It rained all the way there and there was NASTY fog all the way home, so we drove slowly and carefully. What a nasty day out today, but a great shopping day. We went to Walmart out there afterwards, which was next to the Michaels. Walmart there had some great baby stuff, and my best purchase was a tshirt for Sean, (in a larger size) for 0.01¢. Yes, you read that correctly. One Cent. One Penny. The shirt cost me ONE PENNY! It was originally over 10$. I can't recall the exact price. It was on liquidation and on liquidation even more for $2.00. That's what the sales tag said. However, I was playing around with the scanner in the baby department while waiting on my mom who was looking at stuff, and WAS SHOCKED that it said only 0.01¢ when it scanned. I called my mother over. I scanned it again. I called my grandmother over, I scanned it again. Yep - one cent. Get the cash, the cashier rings up everything, indeed it was 0.01¢, and the cashier didn't even seem to notice, so I didn't say anything. One cent. One penny. Never gotten a good deal like that before. And it's a DAMN cute shirt too. I'll photograph it tomorrow.

After Walmart we went to Costco out in Ottawa, and then had a hot dog at Costco and then headed home. I got a few things for Sean at Costco (some really adorable sleepers in 6 month size - since they were on sale). He doesn't fit into the 3 month size from Costco anymore, they're a little too short in length for him.

He pretty much slept the entire time we were there. No complaints here!


And I finally captured a photo of his GORGEOUS long eyelashes, I wonder where he gets those from? (Hint hint... me?!) And his baby blue eyes (which are hard to tell in this photo due to the lighting) I hope those stay!

Today I got a lot of laundry done. I'm very impressed with myself. Today I also did all of my SP10 matches and emailed them all out. The entire process took about 6 hours in total - it was a long day. I had to double check everything, make sure that matches were good, allergies were taken into consideration, etc. It was a long process, but to be honest, very rewarding. Especially since I'm getting emails from people saying they're really happy with their matches! If you are in my group - I've sent your match to your anonymous account - so go check it - and then email me to confirm you've received your match!

I used my very own cue-card system - everyone's info was put on cue cards like above, and then I started piles, and smaller piles, and then made even smaller piles. People were grouped depending on allergies, where they want to mail to, etc. (Yellow and white were my American group members, Blue was overseas and Pink were my Canadian groupies!) I had a system, and it worked!

This afternoon Jamie & I watched the movie The Illusionist. It was very good. The story was better than The Prestige, but the effects were better in The Prestige.

While watching The Illusionist, I taught myself the Long Tail Cast On method, and started a camera case for myself. Once I got the hang of it - it's fairly easy and I LOVE that way of casting on. I'll be using that from now on! It also closes the gaps between DPN's from the other who knows what method I was doing. I'm so happy I taught myself the Long Tail Cast On! Anyhow, my camera case is almost done, I'll be able to finish it tomorrow, no problems!

I've been collecting left over sock yarn for the Tri Blanket I'm going to be making for Sean. I've been given some yarn from a few knitter friends of mine, and I thank everyone who has given me yarn, or is sending me yarn via mail. If you have any left over sock yarn and you don't know what to do with it - email me and let me know that you want to help grow Sean's blankie. I plan on starting on it as soon as I wrap up a few WIP's that I have going on right now. Sock yarn in any color, any brand, as long as it doesn't have pink in it - it's for Sean!

My dad's birthday present came in the mail today. I can't wait to see his reaction when he opens it... As soon as he does - I'll let you know what is inside this HUGE 20 lb box that arrived at my door this morning!

My parents just got back from Jamaica, and of course they spoiled Sean rotten! Here is a cute monkey they picked up for him, I attached it the outside of his crib. It makes a really loud sound!

He also got this really cute tshirt and matching hat.

And another REALLY funny tshirt. I think it's just way too damn funny. Can't wait until it fits him!

Speaking of which, Sean's grown out of the 0-3 month size, and is now in 3 month size. However, some of his 3 month outfits are getting a little snug on him. I'm going to have to find some 3 month sizes that look a little larger, or see what I have in his closet that is 3-6 month size. Gosh, he's getting big! And it's not even in weight - it's in length that he is out growing his outfits!

A very quick FO! My sister's camera case. It's finished! And that's my fun camera modelling the case. I took these photos with my Rebel XT, which has been really depressed lately, because I've been neglecting using her. She'll be coming out of the woods soon, I have plans to start using her much more! I love her and miss her. Just, ever since Jamie won the camera above at a 2005 Xmas party just over a year ago, I've been using him since then since it fits in my pocket! Yes, that's correct, my Rebel is a her and the fuji finepix is a he. I've used about 9 grams of yarn from the 50 gram ball that I purchased, so I will be making more camera case cozies - that's for sure. They're such an easy knit!

I love it. I hope my sister does too! It's very soft for a cotton, and I love it! Too bad the LYS only had 1 ball left - and it was being liquidated - otherwise I would have bought more in that colour - I just love it! It's so fun!

Kadi came over today, and we beaded for my stitch marker exchange, and we knit. It was a very nice girls afternoon, and I very much needed it. Sean was a little cranky this afternoon but passed out this evening, and I'm hoping for another night of full sleep. Two nights ago he only did 4 hours in the middle of the night, but last night he slept from about 10pm until 8:30 am this morning! Wow - what a wonderful sleep I got! I feel like a million bucks!

My post-natal aqua teacher wasn't holding a class tonight due to her hubby's birthday being today, so I am very disappointed there is no class. Tomorrow night I want to try to make it to Meg's deep end Aqua class again, it was soo much fun last week!
