Kindergarten

firstday

Sean started Kindergarten today. We only had a 45 minute integration today, we met his teacher, Mme Françoise (whom my brother & sister both had as a Kindergarten teacher in the late 80’s) and tomorrow he goes for a few hours without me. I think tomorrow will be harder than today was. We sang some songs, we heard a story, Mme Françoise played some piano for the kids and we talked about the date, weather and we put all his school supply items in his cubby. Kindergarten is all French in the school (Kindergarten through grade 2 is all French and then in grades 3-6 you get half a day in French and half a day in English (I believe)). We also colored a picture (well, Sean did), about his first day of school experience. Tomorrow he gets to even take the bus home from school.

Wow, we don't even get to stay, we can walk them down to the classroom and that's it, and after that they're there all day!

Yay! I love the picture - I hope I can get it together to do that too, or at least a photo that she can hold each year sort of thing :)

Wow! Big week! Glad you get a long weekend after the start of school. I'm trying to imagine Sonya and Leena starting kindergarten... will have lots of questions to ask you!
