Camilia

I'm having a pretty decent hair day, but that's the only thing that's going good for me today. I was up for hours last night. Quentin SCREAMED from 2:15 am until 6:30 am this morning. He got a few spurts of 15 minutes of sleep at a time during that time, but other than that, (sleeping on me while I rubbed his back), he screamed once I started to fall asleep and stopped rubbing his back. He didn't want to be in his crib. He didn't want to be in my bed either, really. He didn't want to sit on my bedroom floor, he didn't want his bottle. He kept shoving it away.

At one point, he woke up Sean. Jamie went and took Sean to the bathroom and then put him back to bed. I finally got Quentin to quiet down around 6:30 am, but he didn't sleep until closer to 7:30-7:45 am - for about 30 minutes until we had to leave to get our day started. Quentin and I started a new class this morning and I had to get Sean & Mack to daycare earlier than usual to get to the class on time.

Quentin was not himself last night, or for the most of the day today. No idea who this kid was today. Not Quentin's temperament at all. Someone suggested I try Camilia, so I picked up some this morning. I refuse to use Baby Orajel and I hated using Clove Oil (which relieves toothaches) on the older boys. Clove Oil is so powerful it would numb my own finger while I applied it to their gums.

So far, Quentin has been receptive to the Camilia so far, and I hope it helps him either sleep through the night, or if he does wake up - I hope it helps him get back to sleep quickly and we don't have a repeat tonight of last night. If we do, I'll definitely be a walking zombie tomorrow.

What are your teething solutions? What do you swear by? Please tell!

On another note, I owe you guys a crazy catch up post(s) from what's been going on that past month & a half. I still haven't blogged about our family vacation we took back in August. I finally had edited all my images and then my computer hard drive crashed. (Don't worry, none of my personal files were lost - everything was backed up on secondary and third drives). It was just my main hard drive that runs Windows and my software that was lost. I finally got my computer back last night, I felt so lost without it for almost an entire week, but I should be able to sit down and catch up with you soon. Life also got insanely busy over the last while, and sitting down at my computer to blog, use Facebook, amongst other personal time things, got pushed on the back burner. More soon!

My sisters swear that the Amber baby teething necklaces work. They are about $22 and you wear it on them all the time.

My nephew was miserable one of the days they were staying with us this summer. We went and bought a necklace as my other sister recommended it. He slept better that night and was a different child.

I used the Camilia with both my kids.

Hopefully that works.

We haven't used Camilia (yet) but we use a similar product by Souris Verte that is made for teething. It seems to do the trick, however we haven't hit the CRAZY teething yet, she is still in the aching gum pre-tooth stage.

Our favorite baby non-herbal pain reliever is Advil. So far we've only used it for vaccine pain/fever and it works really well.

Aww poor Quentin. I hope he feels better soon. It's so heartbreaking when our little ones aren't feeling well. Julien has a cold right now, poor baby.

I used Camilia with my infant, it's definitely a great product. Glad you found something that worked, maybe now you can rest more easy knowing your babe is feeling better. Hope the teething stuff ends soon.
