Granny Star Ripple

blanket2 blanket3 blanket4

SPECS:

Pattern: Granny Star Ripple by Carlinda Lewis (My Ravelry Link)
For: Quentin as a stroller blanket
Yarn: 2 skeins each of Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash in Dark Aqua and Lemon.
Hook: 5.5 mm (I)
Size: Baby
Timeline: July 1st, 2011 – August 31st, 2011. This is a really quick project to crochet. However, I was working on other things at the same time, so that’s why it took me two whole months to complete. Also – I put it down for chunks of time.
Modifications & Notes: I modified the end of the round, because I couldn’t understand where to place the Half Double Crochet (Hdc) and make it flat attached, so I’ve eliminated that Hdc and slip stitched it to the first chain of the row to be smooth.

I always think of crochet as the accrylic blankets my mom used to make. Maybe that's why I don't crochet. However, I love the fact many people are bringing back crochet with nice quality yarn. This blanket is beautiful!

Love it! You did a great job. I'm not much a of a crocheter, but you certainly make it look easy.
