After Mackenzie's 4th Birthday party just over a week ago, I realized that my gift bag and tissue paper pile were messy and needed a cleaning. I recycle gift bags if they are in good condition. The same thing goes with tissue paper. Why throw it out, if you can re-use it? I do on occasion pick up pink tissue paper since we generally don't get pink tissue in gifts for my boys, and sometimes it's fun to put a little pink in a gift for one of the boys female friends. After organizing the gift bags after Mackenzie's birthday (and even my own this year), I realize that I have gift bags in almost every size and for numerous holidays (birthday, Chanukah, Christmas, Easter, plain gifts bags for any occasion and even baby shower gift bags). Do you recycle gift bags too? And tissue paper as well?

I have a special gift bag section of the closet.
Yes I recycle gift bags and tissue paper! Nowadays, I take the gift bags and tissue to school and the kids will use them in their play or for art. I found a new use though: www.classroomdiy.com/2012/06/diy-gift-bag-journal.html. Isn't that cool??
Yes...I have been recycling the bags, tissues and the bows for 22 years ( since I married my husband). At first his family thought it was strange... Now everybody recycles it ... Sometimes on Christmas the kids are running around trying to get the bowls and bags for all the moms ... It's fun and I think it teaches them the importance of recycling... Reusing...! We have so much in common :)
Hi Robyn! I ALWAYS recycle bags whenever possible. Usually the tissue paper gets mooshed up and put in the recycle before I get to it.
I do re-use the bags, and boxes, and often bows and tags if possible. Tissue I confess I just toss in the recycle box, usually it gets badly crinkled.
I do recycle gift bags...the tissue paper not so much, but I might have to start;)
