june fourteen :: Knit In Public Day

Today is World Wide Knit In Public Day. I went with my West Island Knits group knitting in public today! They were calling for 60% thunder storms today.....

Do these blue skies look like thunder storm to you? They certainly don't to me! It didn't rain one drop today, but it was damn sticky & humid out today.

So we met at the food court at the local mall. (I didn't want to be in the park and then have to pack everything up and run to the car - should it actually start to rain). We were 5 of us, and it was a lot of fun. Left to Right: Myself, Eugenie, Hélène, Tara & Madeleine.

Everyone who attended received a gift from Robyn's Nest. Everyone received a skein of Briggs & Little Regal in Turquoise, Udder Cream Hand Lotion, Robyn's Nest Stitch Markers, some lollypops, Soak Wool Wash, A DPN tube, some DPNS for the Briggs, a Shawl Stick & a Robyn's Nest magnet.

Eugenie had brought an old (2005) issue of a Phildar accessories magazine, and I fell in love with this scarf. I sooo want to learn to crochet in French JUST for this scarf. You think I can do it?

Current pregnancy craving? Still blue slush puppies. Mmmmmmm!

Sean likes to read in the bath. He's so cute when it's bath time. Just look below and see what I mean:

And yes, there is no more room in my belly for Mackenzie. I'm hoping he comes soon. After all, I'm 37 weeks pregnant on Monday. Full term. It's about time. I'm sooo done! I'm hoping he's almost fully baked and ready to come out!

Tonight we went to my in-law's for dinner, and Jamie's mom & her wife stopped by for dessert, which was nice. We celebrated both my birthday and father's day. I got a nice HBC gift certificate, that I'm very excited to use (probably after I give birth - maybe some new clothes?)

That is an awesome scarf! Looks like you had fun yesterday too. How many weeks were you with Sean? And Sean's a cutie.

That is a cool scarf! I hope you can find someone to make it for you.

I am so jelous about the slush puppies! I am not allowed to induldge any of my cravings with gestational diabetes (sigh, unless it's broccoli - that's a free vegetable). Now I want a slush! Oh yeah and a HUGE stack of blueberry pancakes with real butter and real maple syrup - that should be enough carbs to kill me right???? :)

I am getting more regular contractions now so I think I just might go into labour this week (we'll see eh), in fact I've been off" this afternoon so I guess it remains to be seen. I hope you are almost done too, easpecially with the heat and humidity your are dealing with - I feel for you!

Reading in the bath, how cute! Are those waterproof books? I need to get them for Chloe--I bet she would like that too.
