December 19 of 31

This morning I ran some errands trying to pick up some groceries to bake and cook a few things. While out, I was able to pick up Angela & Kadi who came over this afternoon to hang out, knit and see Sean. I gave both girls their Christmas presents, as I won't be seeing them again until after Christmas. Angela had a gift for Sean and a gift for me!

Sean got this adorable vest from Angela - in 12-18 month size. I hope to find a pair of pants that will go nicely with it - and he can wear it at his first birthday party. It's just too cute. Thank you Angela!

Angela also had a gift for me. She stuffed a stocking full of stuff for me (and even baked me ginger bread cookies - which are soooo good!) I got some bubble bath (green tea & cucumber) and face mask (cucumber), and some stretch mark cream. (Hopefully this pregnancy the stretch marks will not be as my last pregnancy!) (I love cucumber by the way!)

She also got me these 2 pairs of earrings. They are soooo awesome. I'm an earring girl - if you didn't know that already about me. I heart dangly earrings. I collect dangly earrings! I am obsessed with dangly earrings! (Just thought I'd let you all know!) I have 2 full cases of earrings. I have quite the collection. I just love them. I love having the option of choices of pairs to pick from! Thank you Angela. I love my Christmas present. You rock!

This evening I went to the Montreal Knits Knit Night. It was nice to get out of the house. I had trouble finding parking - but eventually got into a spot that I wasn't sure if I would get myself out of (but did!) and had a good time working on Jamie's Cabled Sock. Yep - putting off other knitting I should be doing. But... these cabled socks are way overdue! (I was supposed to finish them back in September for our anniversary)... they'll get done soon, I promise.

Tomorrow I have a lunch date, and I plan on getting some cooking and or baking done. That's all that's on tap for tomorrow, so far. But things always are changing!

Today is my baby sister's 23rd birthday. Happy Birthday girl!

December 18 of 31

I forgot to post about this! Last week I got from my sister, the new 2008 Stitch n Bitch Calendar. My cousin, Jenn - her pattern is December 5th! (And yes, I flipped through every single page until the last month to find it!) Congrats Jenn for being in the calendar!

This morning I got up early with Sean, and we slowly got ready to leave the house. First stop was to pay my welcome tax. So we went to city hall. Upon being there, we walked over to the Aquatics department and registered Sean for a swim class on Tuesday mornings. We will be taking a class for babies 13-18 months old, and the course description is: "For toddlers or older babies with a parent or caregiver. Toddlers build confidence while enjoying the water through games, songs and active water play." Sounds like fun! I can't wait to start, and meet babies who live in our area who are the same age as Sean. Sean will be 13 months old about 2 and a half weeks after the course starts. Perfect timing. (Plus the class was at a convenient time, as we have his gym and music class on Monday and Wednesday mornings). Come January we'll be busy busy busy bees! I am very excited to get back into the pool with Sean.

We ran a bunch of other errands, including checking out 2 different Walmarts for some Kushies Swim Diapers. I had 2 for Sean in Medium size which he wore all summer, but no longer fits into. The medium size is meant to be for sizes 14-25 lbs, however, it also depends on the baby and the waist and the thighs... Sean is a little "thicker" in the thigh area, so they're getting rather tight. Though, he started wearing them before he was 14 lbs. What's great, is that they have velcro AND ties. So I decided to go back to Walmart, where I got them for 8.97 each, and get him a few more in the larger size (Large 25 - 40 lbs) for his class starting in January. No such luck. The lady at Walmart thinks that they are not carrying them anymore, or it's just not "in Season". So after checking 2 different Walmarts, I thought about Toys R Us, because I remember my registry from Toys R Us having Kushies products.

I got to Toys R Us, and they guy argued with me that all he has in stock are the disposable "Little Swimmer" ones, as it's "out of season".... I wish I had found him after I found them in the store, (a little hidden, but I found them) and bought Sean 3 pairs, in Large, in yellow, blue & red (no design on them, but that's okay).

While at Toys R Us, I picked up a Frog Pod for Sean for the bathroom. The other thing we tried using to hold his toys wouldn't stick to the wall, and was useless, and I still have the receipt, so I will be returning it sometime soon. I keep forgetting to bring it back. I love the Frog Pod. First off, it comes off the wall completely, and also - holds his bath products on the top, and when he's old enough, a hanging sponge (right now we just use wash cloths at bath time). Anyhow, I just love this thing... I wish I'd known about it sooner/earlier!

Oh - since when do men have babies? Since when can men get pregnant? Myself - 14 weeks pregnant and with Sean in the car, looking to see if there is maternity parking today while at Walmart, and I see a guy, walk to his car - in a MATERNITY parking spot. He pops his hood, pours in a bottle of windshield washer fluid and then starts his car and leaves. I wanted to scream out my window "Since when do men get pregnant????!" He didn't even have a kid with him to justify parking in that spot! (The sign says "POUR FEMMES ENCEINTES" (For pregnant women), but has a picture of a pregnant woman pushing a carriage with a baby in it)... Ok, end rant.

I got these ducks for Sean for the bath to help for safety, yet Sean likes to pull them off the bathtub floor. Maybe until he's old enough to not do that anymore I'll get a long tub mat, instead. They are really cute though! He thinks they are toys though....

Even though, he has a million toys in the bath. Boats (which are still on the ledge at the top of the photo), and ducks and fish and other animals as well as the full alphabet and numbers from 0-9. Plenty to keep him busy and he has to pull the safety ducks off the bottom of the tub!

Tonight Jamie and I flipped between the Habs game (which we lost 3-2) and the final episode of Survivor which we recorded from Sunday night. Am I glad Todd won? No... but out of the three left, I think I liked him the most. I also think that it was nice of the Survivor people gave Denise 50,000$, but I was hoping that America would have given the 100,000$ to her. I was a little disappointed in that. She lost her lunch lady job when she got back home from being kicked off 4th to last on Survivor, and was only making 7$/hour.

Tomorrow Angela & Kadi are coming over in the afternoon for some knitting & chill time. I have some errands to run in the morning, and then knitting at night downtown on Monkland. I love knit nights. Even though we've moved - I'm not giving those up - even if I have to sit in traffic to get to them!

14 Weeks Pregnant {Baby Number 2}

This afternoon my sister came over to watch Sean so that I could get some work done. Luckily I got everything that I needed to get done, done! I was able to get all the December Sock Club kits all packaged for mailing! (And they went out the door today too! So look out for those if you purchased one of those delicious kits!) It took me a while to get those together, as always, but I love putting them together. This month I added a few extra goodies for the holidays, just a little something extra for my club members. Enjoy! If you missed out on December's club kit - January's is even better! Don't forget to sign up! Perfect Day Yarns is dying up a special exclusive colorway and Montreal's very own Mona Schmidt is designing our January pattern. Very excited about this! Don't miss out!

I ran out into the city on my way to Aqua tonight. But first, I decided to stop at the city hall to pay my "welcome tax" (the tax you have to pay when you buy a new house, you pay it to the city you move to) because my mom told me that city hall was open until 4:30pm. I got there at like 4:08 pm and nope, they closed at 4pm, so I'll have to try again tomorrow. I am going to also go to the aquatics center there and sign Sean up for swimming lessons. I have to see what they have to offer for his age. I'll look into that then. I was on their website and they seem to have some classes available, so I'm excited to get him back into the water. I haven't been swimming there in years. Probably not since I went to day camp years ago. It's been a while! I used to swim there twice a week every summer when I went to camp there!

It felt so great to go to Pre-Natal Aqua tonight. I thought it was my last aqua, as my membership runs out in 2 weeks (January 2nd) and the next two monday nights are Xmas Eve and New Years Eve so the pool closes early, and our class is usually 6pm to 7pm on Monday nights. However, we were asked if we wanted to come in from 2:15pm to 3:15pm for an early class, and we all said we were free, so we'll have two more weeks of Aqua! Very excited about this! I will for sure miss this class once my membership runs out.

I picked up Sean on my way home from Aqua, as he was at my parents house for a little bit, and he passed out in the car on the way home. I didn't want to wake him, (and wanted to eat dinner) so we left him sleep on the floor in his jacket (which I unzipped) until he decided to wake up. He napped for about 30 minutes, it was sooo cute. I am shocked the cats checking him out didn't bother him.

Today I'm 14 weeks pregnant. I think my belly is expanding a bit, so I tried to get an angle of my belly that would show what I was talking about. So as you can see, the baby is starting to show her or himself! (Hoping herself!) 5 weeks left until my Ultrasound (at 19 weeks!) and we're getting very excited. Ignore my messy bathing cap hair, I'd just gotten home from my aqua class, and didn't fix my hair yet!

This evening Jamie & I caught up on one of the episodes of Survivor that we were behind. We still have the final episode to watch (and the Reunion if we're up to it), but I'm dying to know who won! Maybe we'll finish catching up tomorrow night. We'll see what is going on with plans tomorrow.

Alright, Aqua totally pooped me out. I'm off to bed. Night!

December 16 of 31

When they said that there was snow coming - they really meant it. The snow came. And we decided to brave it and we left this morning to go out for breakfast with Jamie's dad & Step-mom. Breakfast was really good. I had a waffle topped with baked apples & caramel. Sean enjoyed some pancakes.

This evening, Sean & I decided to go drive the 5 streets to my parents house. Yeah, it didn't work out that way. First off, we got stuck coming out of the drive way. Yeah, the snow removal company didn't come back to clean yet and I couldn't get out. So my dad came to try to get my car out, and between the two of them, eventually we got it out. After that, I went to go get gas on the way to dinner at my parent's and the first place I wanted to go to, I couldn't get into the station as it was snowed in. So I tried the next place, which I got into. Sean was in the car, and it was freezing, so I left my car on (but not the engine) (there is three modes for the key, one is just for the radio, one if for the heat/radio (or A/C in the summer) and the third is for turning on the car completely. So I turned it on mode 2 (so that the car would stay warm for Sean). Got out of the car to pump gas, and my gas door wouldn't open. The guy at the Esso tried to help me, no luck. I called my father. He told me a few things to try. No such luck. So my father came down there in my mom's truck and tried with a screw driver. No such luck.

So I went to my parents house (followed by my dad just in case - my car gas light was on - I was on empty. I'm supposed to get 80 km on empty, but who knows what we wasted while my car was stuck in the driveway). We decided to see if the car would thaw out, if maybe the gas door was frozen. Nope! It was busted. We eventually got it open, but it's busted. My dad was nice enough to go get my car filled with gas, and let me tell you, I will never let me car get that low on gas in the middle of winter ever again. But why did my gas door get stuck? I'm going to have to call the car dealership and see what the deal with that is.... grr!

On my way home I mailed out Sean's birthday invitations, I can't wait for that next month. I can't believe what a big hooplah this party turned out to be. (Jamie & I just wanted a small family event in our home, but apparently the 1st birthday is a big deal - my first birthday apparently had over 70 people there! (Or so my baby book says!))

Tomorrow, I'm hoping is less snowy - I have a bunch of errands I need to run. I am hoping that I can get those taken care of. That would be good.

Not really sure how - but I'm down 4 lbs. My uterus has expanded (tomorrow I'm 14 weeks pregnant, and I think that's just about when I started "showing" during my last pregnancy with Sean), and I'm not sure how I've "expanded" but lost weight? (Maybe it's due to the nausea??!) Anyhow, tomorrow I'll take my first belly shot for my new pregnancy! Stay tuned.

December 15 of 31

While doing some laundry this morning Sean decided to check out the dryer. It's normal that I bring him into the laundry room with me, but he's never tried to do this before:

He actually tried to climb in - and he was actually very successful this time, I couldn't believe it:

This afternoon the three of us went to the mall to pick up a few things. Hubby got a gift certificate to the Baie and wanted to get some new Calvin Klein jeans (the only kind he wears). Then we went to visit my cousin who works at sports store to pick up a Habs Practice Jersey for Jamie for his birthday. Now he finally has a jersey to wear to games. The mall was a zoo, but we managed to get parking pretty quickly (upon following someone who was leaving the mall to their car) and since our errands didn't take so long, we decided to get some ice cream before leaving the mall. I was craving some ice cream.

We decided upon leaving the mall that we were going to go to our fave restaurant for dinner. We came home, I prepared the December sock club kits for mailing (they'll be shipping Monday) and then we dropped Sean off at my parents house, and headed out for dinner. It took us forever to get there, with a little bit of traffic, and then more time to find parking. But the meal was SO worth the long time it took to get there. Dinner totally hit the spot. Exactly what I was craving. Plus, it was nice to take Jamie out for his birthday, and it was definitely nice to spend some time alone just the two of us.

It's supposed to storm tomorrow, and we're supposed to go out for breakfast with Jamie's dad & step-mom, we'll see how the weather is in the morning. Apparently schools are already cancelled for Monday due to the weather we're supposed to be having.

December 14 of 31

My sister did some compairing of Sean and I when I was a little wee one. The files are not that big, but you can still see how much he looks like me!
Today Sean & I did not leave the house all afternoon, and he took a really long nap, so I managed to clear out my hotmail inbox. I still have like 17 emails in there, but that's good compared to the 176 I had when I started. And I answered every single one of those 159 emails. Phew! Some of them were a tad on the old side, and I felt bad, and wanted them to get returned!

Sean can now walk about 5-6 steps on his own. I think he'll be running by his 1st birthday in 2 weeks! (Two weeks today!)

This evening Jamie, Sean & I went out for Chinese Food for dinner, I was really craving it. It really hit the spot, I love Chinese Food! We did some errands on the way home and then came in and watched some TV while Sean played for a little bit before bed.

Tomorrow we're going to attempt to go to the mall to pick up a few things, but since it's a week before Xmas, it'll probably be a zoo like no other! Wish us luck!

50 Weeks

Sean is 50 weeks old today. FIFTY WEEKS! Two weeks left until his first birthday...!

I didn't realize Sean needed his hair done before this photo... or I would have fixed it! LOL

This morning, I registered Sean for a daycare program that starts in September. The first 5 weeks are once a week, and I go with him, and then after that, it becomes twice a week, and hopefully the seperation period begins. It's a program designed for the children to learn to seperate from their parents, which is great. However, Sean has no problems leaving me to stay at my parents house or my in-law's house, that it could go completely different in 9 months from now when he starts daycare, etc... His personality will definitely be different then from what it is now. We'll see how that goes. While I was there, I also registered Sean for 2 classes starting in January. (Something for me to get out of the house!) We're taking one class on Monday mornings and one on Wednesday mornings. The one on Wednesday mornings is a class with a musical group called the Tweedle Dees. I know two other mommies with their babies in that class (so I'm glad I will know people). One baby is a month younger than Sean and the other is almost 2 months younger than Sean. I can't remember what the Monday class is - but the Wednesday class is half an hour of music and half an hour of gym play. Sounds like fun!

This afternoon I went out and did some errands with Angela. One of the stops, we went to Walmart. We both needed to look at a few things. Guess What? Walmart found my key! The solo house key that I knew I lost last week and went back to look for it? SOMEONE FOUND IT!!! And instead of throwing it out, or away, they gave it to Walmart in case the person who lost it came back and asked about it. Well... I was SHOCKED more than anything. I could not believe it.
Tonight I went with Angela to Ariadne's Very First Stitch N Bitch. I forgot to take pictures there, but I did take pictures of the loot I bought! (Jamie gave me Chanukah/Christmas money today. Good timing. Their shop is super cute, and it was nice sitting by their faux fireplace to knit for about 2 hours before I had to go pick up Sean's from my parents house.

So here is my loot! I've been eyeing Lamb's Pride for a while now. I've seen it online, and even tried to bring it into my shop - but with Lamb's Pride you need a store front to be able to carry their product, so I'm glad that Ariadne can now be my Lamb's Pride Source. I was looking for 100% Wool, but settled on 85% Wool and 15% Mohair for a project I have in mind, because I fell in LOVE with the color! The funny thing - is that the color of this yarn - is my new street name. I think it was meant to be.

This beautiful yarn will become a Hoodie Scarf. I haven't figured out what stitch pattern I will do yet, but Karine walked me through what to do when I decide what pattern I want to do - so I know exactly what to do. Maybe I'll even write my own pattern!

And these two little cuties, I got for a buck each! They're little balls of sock yarn, 10g each. I plan to use them for Sean's sock yarn blankie - and for Sean's siblings' sock yarn blankie. I guess my plans for Sean's blankie to be done by his 1st birthday is not happening, not even by his first birthday party in January, but I am sure it'll happen soon! I hope! Some other WIPs to finish first!

And here is progress on my mother-in-law's "Big Needles, Chunky Yarn, Quick Knit" scarf. That's what I'm calling it. I love chunky yarn. So much fun. By the looks of how much is left in the skein, it looks like this scarf will either take me 3 skeins or 3 and a bit skeins to complete. My mother-in-law's birthday is 2 days before Xmas, so I better get cracking. I also need to finish my nephew's Drive Thru (which I don't think will be done for Xmas, but I'll be seeing him 2 weeks into January, so I'm not worried if it's a little late, plus I spoiled the kid with other things I bought him for Xmas - I can't wait to give him his presents!) I MUST KEEP KNITTING! I declare next week - Knitting Week!

December 12 of 31

Sean is now saying "this" but it sounds more like "dis"and pointing while he does it. The way he points is cute though. He puts his thumb with his middle finger, and extends his index finger. It's really cute. When he wants something, he points to it, and says "dis".... I think that's his next word people! I am so glad he's communicating more and more. It's actually very exciting.

He's also starting to actually walk. He can do up to 4 steps right now before falling over. He's doing good though - I think he'll be fully walking by his 1st birthday on the 28th of December. Or at least we have our hopes up that he'll be walking by then.

This afternoon my mother came over to play with Sean while I worked on writing out 38 invitations for Sean's 1st birthday. We are holding it in January, since some family will be out of town in December for the winter break, so we decided January is a good time. I am definitely looking forward to his 1st birthday bash! I just need to address the envelopes, and then they invites will be going in the mail by the weekend.

This evening I picked up my photo order that I'd placed over the weekend, and I can't wait to go through my pictures tomorrow. I hadn't printed anything at all since photos dated June 30th. So I went through all my pictures and printed from July 1st - December 7th pretty much. It was 188 photos - (hard to choose!) and I made doubles on most of them, but a couple of made a ton of extra copies (the extra cute photos) so that I can give copies to my grandparents, in-laws, etc... I don't think anyone has an updated photo of Sean in months! (I've been bad - I know!)

I need to remember to print Jamie some wallet size photos - he keeps asking me to make him some for his wallet - I just am having issues with my color printer, so I will need to have the photolab do it. Must remember!

Tomorrow morning I'm registering Sean for daycare for next fall. I think I am also going to register him for 1 or 2 classes at the same place for some Mom & Tot classes, so that we have something to do starting in January until March (I think they're about 10 weeks). It should be fun, so I want to get his signed up for those as well, providing there are still spots left.

The yarn arrived today (late) for the December Sock Club kits. Canada post was supposed to deliver it yesterday, but it never showed up. The guy finally came this afternoon, while my mother was over watching Sean. The color is absolutely stunning - I am very happy with her work! I am in the progress of putting the kits together, and they'll be going out in the mail by the weekend, or over the weekend, I will get to the post office. You definitely will NOT be disappointed! I received the sample in the mail for January's sock club kit - and it's absolutely stunning. Mona Schmidt will be designing the pattern for the club kit. It's going to be an amazing kit - better sign up soon before spaces sell out! Treat yourself to a nice Xmas present - or give a gift of the kit to someone else!

December 11 of 31

This morning I took care of a few things at home, before Jenn & Jakob came over. Then we headed over to Tara's house for some knitting time. Blogless Kate-the-Enabler came over with 13 day old Liam. Kate luckily lives across the street from Tara, literally. I got a few rows done on my Mother-in-Law's birthday scarf. Sean also had a good time this afternoon and got to play with all of Tara's kids toys. I had a little accident today there though. I was sitting on a little chair (you know the kiddie set of table & chairs), and Sean was doing something I didn't want him to do, and so I got up to get him and put him back in a safer area of the room, and then I backed up not facing the chair, thinking I knew where to sit down and I sat down the chair went flying, I landed on the floor, but before I landed on the floor my right butt cheek hit the corner of the leg of the chair, and now I have the biggest bruise ever. It kills like a biatch, let me tell you. To make my day worse, while leaving Tara's house, Jenn & I were engaged in deep conversation, and I didn't realize we were in a school zone. I wasn't done school zone speed - but rather regular road speed, so of course, I got pulled over by the Laval Police for speeding. The fine wasn't too bad, but still. At first I thought I was pulled over for a stop sign, but I was certain that I did a full complete stop, those I make sure to do! I don't roll through stop signs anymore. Especially not with Sean in the car. To be honest, I was going "with" traffic, and wasn't the only one to get pulled over. He pulled over another car with mine. I think I jinxed myself at dinner last night when we were talking about drivers licences, etc, and cars, and tickets, and I mentioned that I hadn't gotten a ticket (besides parking) in forever.

We still had time to go to Walmart, and I picked up some cute shirts for my nephew for Xmas (I don't know if his Drive-Thru Sweater will be done on time), and picked up a few cute shirts for our step-niece & step-nephew for Xmas. I wasn't sure what kids about the age of 8 & 10 like, so I decided that easiest thing to do was clothing. Can't go wrong with shirts, right? I also got about 10 George shirts and 1 cute vest for Sean in 18 month and 24 month size that were on liquidation. He's in 12 month size now, but before I know it, he will be in 18 month size!

Tonight I went to the Montreal Knitting Guild meeting and worked on more of my Mother-in-Law's Scarf. I haven't given progress pictures in a while, so here is some progress:

Today in the mail, I got a lovely package from Patty! That was a surprise! She sent me some note cards, a note pad, some Burt's Bee's Cuticle cream as well as some Louet Gems yarn! Thanks girl! I think I'm going to use the sock yarn for my Red Herring socks, I just need to figure out what color I want to put with it! Maybe a Navy blue with the white. Maybe another DARK color.

According to Canadapost tracking number, I was supposed to have my December Sock Club Kit yarn in my hands today. Did they stop at my house with my parcel? NO! I don't understand. So now they're LATE delivering my package. I don't understand why they are lacking with delivery. You pay for a service, and it should be on time - if I would have wanted it delivered on a later date, I wouldn't have paid for a slower service, you know?

Tonight I won a prize at the Montreal Knitting Guild meeting I attended for the Xmas Exchange. I got these gorgeous black & white note cards, and a cute sheep note pad - very cute.

Tomorrow I've got a few things that I want to take care of. I also have to write out all of Sean's birthday invitations.

13 Weeks Pregnant {Baby Number 2}

Today I ran a bunch of errands with my sister, and it was a very productive day. A checked a lot of phone calls and returns and items off my to do list. I am feeling a lot better about that.

I even got winter boots for Sean! After checking 2 stores, (Junior Booty and Premiere Pas), we went to Walmart for my sister to check up on something and they got in a new shipment of winter boots! I picked up an infant size 3 and an infant size 4 (they were only 16$ for the boots instead of the crazy 45$ that some stores had size 5's for (and the size 3 and 4 when they actually had them in stock). I am not sure which pair I am going to keep. I think I am going to keep the size 3's - even though they won't last him as long as the size 4's would - BUT the size 4's right now, fly right off his feet. The woman at Walmart was trying to convince me that I had to get a size larger than what he wears in shoes (which is a size 3 still). She was telling me that boots are made differently and that I had to get him the size 4's. However, the 4's slid right off his feet. I will try them on him again, and make him walk around the house before I made my final decision tomorrow.

We stopped by ToysRUs today to pick up this Sling Rider. I had a raincheck from when it was on sale at 50% off. I had an azure wrap with Sean when he was a newborn, but unfortunately it's useless in the middle of summer since it's really warm, and mine's black - and it wraps the entire torso. This Sling Rider will be so much more breathable. (Phew!) It's really soft too - and I really like it.

While at ToysRUs my sister and I filled the cart with gifts for Sean's birthday. Boy this kid is going to be spoiled. I've set the date for his party -which will be in January, after some of our family returns from holidays, so they can attend. Sean's birthday - the 28th of December is just to close to Xmas and New Years, (smack in the middle) so we've decided to throw his party in January when everything calms down a little.

Tonight we went out for dinner with my parents for Jamie's birthday. Happy birthday hunny! Dinner was delicious and I ate only half of it, though, since I've been feeling nauseas again for the last half a week already.

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and slowly starting to show. I think I will start my weekly pregnancy shots next week. Wasn't in the mood to do one today. Sorry!

December 9 of 31

Today I ran a bunch of errands after picking up Sean from my parents house. I got to sleep in, and that felt great. (Though, I could still easily use another three days of sleep!) We went to Costco and boy, what a zoo it was there. First off, people were fighting for parking in the lot. I left the house today, with the frame of mind that "I'm in no rush"... so that got me in the frame of mind that the zoo at Costco, and the crammed parking lot - didn't bother me.

We checked out a few more stores to see if we can find Sean some winter boots - but so far, no luck. Fun. I swear - I'm frustrated. I didn't realize that it would be soooooo difficult to find infant winter boots. I'm looking for something that will match his jacket/snow pants (navy blue prefferably - but I'm not going to be picky if I find something), and that will zip up on the side of the boot. I've checked 4 different Payless' and a few Winners, Walmarts, Zellers. I've checked Pop, Rubino, amongst other stores. Tomorrow, my last resort - will be Junior Booty. (I was also told to check out Yellow & Globo, however, I doubt they're going to have size 3 or 4 boots). I'm not sure if Sean is a size 3 or 4, or I'd order some on the internet or something. I just want to find the kid some boots so that I can take him sledding already! It's been too cold and he needs some boots. Also - especially since he's almost walking on his own - he needs some boots.

Tonight we went to my parents house for dinner, and we celebrated Chanukah as well. Tonight's the 6th night of Chanukah (2 more days left).

Sean got some really nice gifts, from my parents he got a really neat set, and a tool set from my grandmother. He got this really neat bus from my brother & sister, which we took out of the box. I decided to not take everything out of the boxes in one night, that maybe one at a time is a good decision. Especially since this kid has a lot of toys. I just love his "My First Chanukah" bib! I got it for him a while ago, and remembered to take it out!

I started a chunky scarf for my Mother-in-Law for her birthday. I'm not sure if I will be making a matching hat - I am not sure if she wears hats. (But I will find out). I still have my nephew's Drive-Thru sweater to finish, but a Chunky scarf will not interfere, and her birthday is actually 2 days before Xmas, so I've got an even sooner deadline. I will post pictures with progress. Right now I'm just doing 3x3 ribbing on the chunky scarf - so it's just some knitting & purling right now, when there is length, I'll post pictures!

Just a reminder that I've listed January Sock Club Kits. For January, we have Perfect Day Yarns dying to the yarn, and Montreal's very own designer Mona Schmidt designing the sock pattern! Very excited for this new kit. Also - until tomorrow, we have Noro on sale at 15% off, just like the Claudia's Handpainted. As of tomorrow, they go back to their regular prices. Just to let you know, that SOAK is still on sale, until the end of the month. Full size bottles are 20% off, as well as the Starter Kits.

ps- For HungryforLatkes who commented on my blog - the recipe is from Second Helpings Please, Cookbook by Norene Gilletz. This cookbook has all Jewish Holiday recipes, and is great. It's a great cookbook - but I don't think that I can post recipes from a book, that aren't mine. However, there are plenty of Potato Latkes recipes on the internet. Google dot com has a lot of great recipes - which are very similar to the one that I made! Hope that helps.

December 8 of 31

Have you seen these? It's a DPN storage tube. I was searching for these, and came across this. They're only 6.50$ for a pack of 4. That's pretty good. I wonder how much shipping to Canada is though? I'll see after I have done Christmas/Chanukah shopping if there's anything leftover for myself. You see, today is my last day of maternity leave. My final paycheck is on Wednesday, and then that's it until I take maternity leave again next summer with baby number 2. I will be working on focusing on my business, as well as helping Jamie out at our store (we own a franchise in the family business) but as far as a steady pay - that won't be happening right now. Maybe see if there is any Chanukah gelt or Christmas money for them. If not, it's not the end of the world. They're a WANT not a NEED.

Being on that - wants and needs - I think I am going to implement NOT BUYING IT next year for a bit. I did it for one month this past year, and let me tell you it was hard, but I think it's something I want to try again - at least for one more month. January?? (The only problem with January, is, we're hosting Sean's 1st birthday party in January), so we'll see. Maybe February?

Though what I saw that I really want? These. They are these tubes, that hold your needles for your in progress sock projects. I've never seen them here in Canada, and would love some for my shorter needles. (I don't really knit socks with larger than 5 or 6 inch DPNS). (8 inch DPNS drive me nuts for socks!)

Another item on my WANT list is Fergie the Frog. I'd love a Fergie the Frog. It's made by clover, and not something I've seen in Canada either.

My son eats books. Actually he likes any cardboard or paper. I don't get it. Boxes, books, paper. He eats it. Is this normal? I know babies put things in their mouth all the time - but to eat paper?? I try as much to not let him do it - but sometimes, I just don't see him, especially when it comes to his books!

Tonight we dropped Sean off at my parents house and went to the Habs game. We unfortunately got creamed MAJORLY by North Carolina, 5-1. However, I got some knitting done on my nephew's Drive-Thru sweater. There is some progress, though, I'm no where near 10 inches for the body. I gotta keep going at it!

December 7 of 31

Sean took his afternoon nap on the couch this afternoon while I sat on the couch and watched some TV. I'm still really tired lately. I'm almost 13 weeks pregnant, and out of my first trimester. I don't understand why I'm so tired. Maybe it's a girl this time and she's sucking all my energy? I recall becoming more energetic at this point in my pregnancy with Sean.

Today was almost a lazy day, just chilling out, playing in the den. Sean likes to pull all his toys out of his toy bin and throw them on the floor. By the end of the evening, there is no floor in sight, it's covered in toys. It's crazy how many toys he has.

I got my Costco Amex in the mail today, so I plan on going shortly to Costco. It's got my picture on the back, which is pretty scary of a picture! I don't like it. Ugh! Oh well. What's cool about the card is that it's 2% cash back at the end of the year - unlike my current visa, which is only 1% cash back. I think I'm going to like my new Amex. Money back is a good thing! So I activated my card, and I'm ready to go hit up Costco. (I have a list of things to pick up!)

Today I heart these pewter Sheep Stitch markers on Etsy.

I didn't realize that Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty & CSI were all new last night, as well as Las Vegas tonight. I have some TV to catch up on this weekend. I thought that everything was on hold until January, because of the writer's strike, but I won't complain for some new episodes!

Jamie & I watched the movie Superbad tonight, and while we watched the Vulgar Unrated version, it was a) disgusting and b) funny. Though, a waste of 2 hours of my time. A friend told us that it was a funny movie, so we were like - okay, let's give it a go.... what a retarded flick! I worked on my nephew's Drive Thru for Xmas... as time is running out (18 days left). I can do it, I know I can! I can meet the deadline...! I hope!

49 Weeks

My little monster is now 49 weeks old. I can't believe his birthday is in a close 3 weeks away! (22 days away!) Gosh, that came fast...!

I saw these in my new issue of Canadian Family Magazine. Knitted apple cozies for your child's lunch to school. 12$ each, by jacquelineknits. Hmm. Very interesting. I survived lunches to school when I was a child without these. You actually think your child will come home with them at the end of the day?? I googled this, couldn't find her online.

Sean has been escaping the barrier we temporarily put up so that he can't excape the den so we put up this rail that my parents gave us. It's perfect for him (at this age) and he has not yet tried to climb over it yet. The den is right next to two sets of stairs, to the basement and upstairs, so we have to keep him in here when he plays with all his toys. This was our only solution for the den.

For dinner tonight I made veal parmasean (Mmmm!) and potato latkes for Chanukah. They were absolutely delicious. It was my first time making latkes, and it was a lot of work (and used a lot of oil) but they were sooo good! There was even leftovers for tomorrow! It was a lot of grating (onion and potato) and a few other ingrediants, and it was just too much fun to make them, and cook in my new kitchen.

I got some knitting done tonight on my nephew's Drive Thru sweater for Xmas. I will post progress pictures as soon as there is some! Right now it just looks like a blue tube! Nothing too exciting!

Sean took two steps on his own tonight! Jamie and I were watching the hockey game, and Sean let go of the foot stool and took two steps towards something else and didn't fall over. He made it to the thing he wanted which he then grabbed on to it! His first steps! I am sooo proud of my little man! I hope this means he'll be walking soon!

I booked my 19 week ("standard") Ultrasound, it's going to be on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008. We are hoping to find out the sex of the baby that day - providing that the little one cooperates. Of course we're hoping it's a girl - I want one of each sex, and since we already have our little boy, a girl is wanted. However, should it be another boy, we'll still be very happy, as long as it's a healthy little one! Any healthy baby is good, either sex!

December 5 of 31

Christmas Display at the Gap. KNITTED yarn ball ornaments! I couldn't believe it! Yep!

This morning we got up bright and early and headed out the door. First I wanted to go to Zellers to see if they had something that I saw at another location yesterday, but they didn't have the right one in stock, so I wanted to see if they had another one at a different location. No such luck, but I did find a few other things that I needed while there. After spending quite some time there, we headed off to the mall to see if we could find snow pants, and eat lunch before going to the movies.

So at the mall, first I find a pair of snow pants at Old Navy in black. Ok, fine. I didn't care for the color (his Tommy Hilfiger jacket is red & navy blue). Whatever. For the few times we go to play in the snow, it didn't matter. 12-18 month size, 42$. FOURTY TWO DOLLARS! I couldn't believe it. But, I bought them, because I didn't know if I was going to find anything else, and they are returnable, 90 days. Next we check the kiosk in the middle of the mall, and nothing. They had snow outfits, but not snow pants, not even as a set. Next stop, Gap Kids. I found navy snow pants 12-18 month size. On sale from 68$ to 48$. WHAAAAT??? I also had a 10% off coupon for the Gap that Old Navy just gave me. (Cross promotion). So I bought them. They came out to 1$ more and change than the Old Navy pants. Whatever. They matched.

So then we went to the food court, and Sean had his bottle, and I ate lunch (Chinese food, Mmmm! Hit the spot!) Sean was being all cute after his bottle blowing on his trumpet that I had to take a photo (above) and take some video:

So then we went to go check out Winners and they had absolutely nada. Next stop, The Children's Place. Ohh! Lucky! Navy blue - 12 month size, 44.50$ on SALE for 40% off. YEY! The 18 month size was too huge on him, that the non-adjustable but stretch elastic straps were too big on him, so I had to go with the 12 month size. It cameto 26.50$ plus taxes. Great! That's more what I was thinking they'd cost! Not 52-53$ with tax!! His pants with taxes at The Children's Place came to 30.20$ with taxes. Much better! Though, I was hoping they still wouldn't be that much. So off to Old Navy & Gap we went to return the other pants we bought. Tomorrow - we go sledding on Sean's new sled in his new snow pants.

Then we met my mother, and went to go see Bee Movie. The movie was cute, but not 100% the greatest movie ever. Cute though. Definitely. Next week they're playing Enchanted again (which I saw) and The Golden Compass (which I don't want to see) so we won't be going next week. After next week they're on break from Starz & Strollers until the new year. It starts back up again on January 16th. So we'll see what's playing then. I guess they need the theaters empty for Xmas break.

After the movie I went with my mom and Sean to Walmart. Again, Sean slept in the carrier (as he did with my sister & I last week) the entire time we were there. I picked up a few items that I needed, and then we headed back to the car. My mom loaded the car with our parcels, I had dropped my house key which fell off my keychain near my trunk, just before I was going to put Sean into his car seat, so I put it in my coat pocket, and said I'd put it back on my keychain when I got back into the car. I loaded Sean into his car seat, and my mom put the carriage back and we left. I dropped my mom back off at her car at the mall where she met me, and then headed to the dry cleaners. When I got to the dry cleaners, while waiting for my stuff, I reached into my pocket to put my house key back on the keychain. GONE. I realized at that moment, the pocket I put it into, had a hole in it. GRR! So I paid for my dry cleaning, and headed home. At home, I dumped my purse to make sure I didn't put it in there, (nope) and searched my car. Since I could get into the garage, but not the house (same key for the front door and the garage door into the house) I decided to re-trace my steps. I went to the dry cleaners and double checked in the parking spot I was in, and even on the floor in the dry cleaners. Not there. I then drove back to Walmart. I tried looking in the spot I had been parked in, but there was an SUV in the spot now and it's much bigger than my car. Some lady was nice and went inside Walmart and asked them for me (since I had Sean sleeping in the car) if someone had brought in a key. No such luck. Anyhow, I waited for 45 minutes until the lady who owned the SUV came and moved her car. I had three people who passed by help me look for the key. Nada. Grrr! There was a bit of slush on the ground, but we would have seen it, for sure. It's a huge key and thick. Not so tiny. Yes it was alone and NOT on a keychain, but still!

Tomorrow when it's light outside, I will have to search my car again. It had to be somewhere. I have a spare key, so it's not the end of the world. I am also not worried about getting a new lock on the door, because if someone does find it there is no ID on the key to let them know it's from my house, and also - the Walmart is not even in my suburb, so they would never know that it would be to my house. (Plus we just spend about 250$ to change the lock from our duplex over to our new house, and had the lock changed so that the front door and garage would be the same key, so that would be less on our keychain). Not paying that again! Plus - we have an alarm system, I'm not worried if that key is 100% lost. Maybe it'll turn up in my car tomorrow when I can actually see. I am going to take a magnet and run in under my car seat, so see if it is maybe in a spot I can't see. I think the magnet idea will work. The key should stick to it.

This evening I went to Knit Night on Monkland. I had fun, but didn't have fun getting there. It took me an hour and a half to get into the city tonight, which even in the worst of traffic, has never ever taken me that long to get there. Usually takes me 20 - 25 minutes. With traffic - maybe 45 minutes. Tonight was double that!! I was listening to the radio, apparently the entire city was in gridlock on every highway! It was nasty. I have never sat PARKED on the Decarie Expressway before. I've been stuck in traffic on there before, but in rolling traffic. NEVER parked!!

I'm beat. More tomorrow!

December 4 of 31

Today I decided that I could just NOT stay home. I've been feeling couped up lately, even though I've not been in the house for days or anything. I decided to go do some errands. First I went to the grocery store and got rid of all the cans for recycling, the grocery store gives you cash back for the cans when you bring them back). Jamie was getting fed up that the garbage bag of them became two garbage bags of cans and bottles, and it was time to bring them back. I also needed some groceries, so I picked up everything on my list.

After the grocery store, I headed to the Canada Service building, so I could get Sean his Social Insurance Number. I needed him to get one so that I could get Sean an RESP (Registered Education Savings Plan). Otherwise, he need not have a SIN until he starts working one day. I thought I'd have to fill out an application form, have them check our ID and then mail it off and wait for the card in the mail which used to take 6-8 weeks. But that's not how it works. They actually give you a number right away, so that you can start using it, if you need. The entire process took about 5 minutes, including standing in line to tell the receptionist at information what I wanted to do and ask if I was in the right place.

Next stop I went to Zellers, where I picked up a few items for myself, Sean and for holiday gifts. I love the HBC stores. I always find great ideas/gifts. I picked up a present for Jakob, since Jenn invited me over after I was done, as she had a Chanukah present for Sean.
Sean got a Chanukah present from Jakob (and Jenn & her husband) today:

Little Tikes Handle Haulers Andy the Airplane

and....

Little Tikes Handle Haulers Coal the Choo Choo

They are really neat. You can even open up the train and airplane to store stuff inside. Thank you very much Jakob! Sean just recently started pushing cars and vehicles around, like you are supposed to play with them, so he likes this very much.

Our gift to Jakob was a sled. This is such a cute picture of Sean & Jakob. Looks like Sean is massaging Jakob's shoulders! Jenn had asked me to check to see if Zellers had any of them in stock while there, as her husband asked her to pick one up. Since I hadn't started my holiday shopping yet (bad bad Robyn), I decided to start it today, and pick up the Sled for Jakob. I also picked up a Sled for Sean. All I need now is to find a pair of snow pants for Sean. His winter jacket which my parents got for him at the Tommy Hilfiger store in New York, didn't come with snow pants. I didn't realize how hard it was to find 12-18 month size snow pants. I checked a few places out today, and already have checked a few places in the last week or so (including Walmart that doesn't sell just snow pants in that size). Tomorrow I'm going to check Winners and The Children's Place at the local mall. I really want to take Sean sledding on Thursday, but I need to find him snow pants first. The local mall also has kiosks with Children's clothing all throughout the mall, so I will hopefully be able to find something. I've even checked Craigslist, and ebay. There are some options on ebay, should I not be able to find tomorrow. I'm already watching some auctions. Next winter - I get him a set - not a jacket alone!

I am the master of finding good deals. Well, today, while I was in Maxi & Cie, I went specifically for whole wheat hot dog buns, and while there - I decided to check out the kids clothing department. I also had to pick up size 4 huggies, as Sean is no longer fitting into size 3 (which is 16-22 lbs, and He's 22 and a half pounds now. Anyhow, he's been leaking through the size 3's, so it was about time. It's still more economical to buy Huggies at Costco, but I was in a bind - and needed them now. Plus I'm still waiting for my Amex to come in the mail, the one that I applied for when I got my Costco membership last week. Anyhow, back to my good deal:

I picked up this cute little 12-18 month size pair of PJ's for Sean today for only .94 cents. You see, in Quebec, you are guaranteed Price Protection. The original price of this Joe outfit was 18$. There was a ticket on the outfit, that it was on sale for 10.94$. But, when I got to the register, it scanned in for 13.94$. So because it scanned in at a higher price than what the ticket said, you can open your mouth, and I did. So, the girl has to remove the 13.94$, and put in 10.94$ and then this is where the price protection comes in. If the item is less than 10$ - you get the item for free. If the item is more than 10$ you get 10$ off your item. So, 10.94$ minus the 10$ is a whole whopping .94 cents for this totally cute set of PJ's that came with little booties for Sean. Am I the Queen of getting good deals?? I think so! I won't complain!

On Sunday I got cracking on my yarn room. It's coming along mighty fine! I cleaned all the shelves first, and lined them with paper, and filled up each cubby with yarn. There is still some empty cubbies, and there is still some yarn to go into those empty cubbies, but I only got so much done so far. Though, it's looking fabulous! I do have to say so myself.

Here is a close-up of some of the yarn I have for sale. Doesn't it just look delecious?? I am open to Montreal knitters to come see the yarn room if they're interested in looking at the yarn before purchasing - so email me for further information on that - or leave a comment! That was the whole point of setting up the yarn room. After putting in all my inventory, there will be no room for my personal stash - so I'm going to have to come up with something for that. (Since my personal stash is still packed from the move. Eventually it will come out again, to be petted!

The recipe I made for dinner last night was Easy Chicken and Broccoli Divan. You can easily find it on the web, at the link I just provided, or on the side of the CAMPBELL'S Condensed Cream of Broccoli Soup can.

Tomorrow Sean & I are running more errands, and going to see Bee Movie for the Mom & Baby movie tomorrow. Tomorrow night, I'm going to Knit Night, and looking forward to it!

To all those celebrating Chanukah - HAPPY CHANUKAH! We forgot to light the candles before Sean went to sleep tonight, but we'll definitely do them tomorrow night before I leave to knit night. I also am a bad girl, and need to polish my menorah. It tarnished from last year, so I wasn't taking pictures tonight. Pictures of Sean's first Chanukah coming soon. I also plan on making Potato Latkes in the next few days... I've never made them from scratch before, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

12 Weeks {Baby Number 2}

So now I actually think that it's because of the dryness in our house that Sean had horrible sleeps and naps this past weekend. We discovered last night that there is a humidifier that is attached to our furnace, so instead of having to buy one to put in our bedroom (since we gave the one we have to Sean, since it was his in the first place for our old duplex), we have one that goes into the entire house with the heat that circulates. Last night you could actually smell the water "particles" in the air. It was actually nice. And since turning on the humidifier last night, all three of us slept like babies. Sean slept through the night, and was okay being in his room. I think it was the dry air that was bothering him, or so we're hoping was the reason. Last night was a beautiful night's sleep. So much that I think I woke up twice, thinking "Oh my goodness, is he okay?" (Like he was a newborn again and I was worried that he was not breathing anymore, you know?)

This morning my mother picked Sean & I up and we left really early to my first OB appointment for baby number 2. We thought because of the amount of snow that fell over Montreal, that there would be bumper to bumper traffic. People tend to forget how to drive when there is the first snow fall of the year. Not a stitch of traffic. No one was on the roads. Traffic in the other direction, that was an entire other story. But East bound, not a stitch. We got into the city and had enough time for me to do a return at a shoe store and still make it to my appointment about 45 minutes early. Now, no one was answering the phones at the doctor's office, I tried calling a number of times. When I got there, the office was open, as the other doctor who shares the office was there. I asked one of the girls in the waiting room, and she said that my doctor was indeed there but was checking in patients himself, one at a time.

So I waited no more than 10 minutes. That was fine by me. My mother waited around the corner in the car, with Sean fast asleep in his car seat. My doctor was finally done with the patient he was with, and then came and took my medicare card, found my chart, and had me come in. He took my blood pressure (which is usually done by Harriet, his nurse) and he weighed me as well. What's funny is that he got frustrated with the scale and just put it to a number and said "That looks good", and wrote down that number. That number was a few pounds less than I actually weigh. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing! I hope that I don't gain too much weight over the next few months!

So he tells me to go sit in his office. Usually Harriet has you sit down on the chairs outside his office until an exam room is free, but this time since he was doing one patient at a time, we met in his office first.

He asked me questions, and told me that I would not need to go take another blood test, since I had one in the past few years (last year when I was pregnant with Sean), so he had all my blood work ready to go and since my blood pressure was great, there was no need.

He asked me when my last period was, and I explained to him about my last real one and the one after it, which I thought was my period. (I won't bore or disgust you with the details). Since I explained to him what I thought, he said he'd do an internal exam to check the size of my uterus.

Upon finishing the exam, he lets me know that my last period was actually implantation bleeding and that I'm not 8 weeks pregnant, that I'm 12 weeks pregnant (by the size of my uterus!) The kicker? My due date: On my 27th birthday - June 16th, 2008!! That is cute! I would not mind sharing my birthday with my baby. However, the likeliness of the baby being born on my actual due date, I think the percentage is actually very low! (Like 2% low according to google). Well, that's shocking news. Seriously! Back in September, I thought there was a chance I was pregnant (symptoms like tender breasts and stuff like that), but no way did I think I was seriously pregnant. Jamie made a comment one night that I was eating for two that night, and then put the idea into my head, but then when I got what I thought was my period, I didn't think twice about it again. So I really was pregnant! And it seems we conceived somewhere around mid-September. (Our Anniversary weekend? LOL) Anyhow, it'll be cute to see if this baby decides to show up on my actual birthday or not! Will we have another Gemini in the house?

My doctor gave me the paperwork to make my appointment for my 19 week Ultrasound - the "standard" one you do here in Quebec. So I won't get to see the baby before 19 weeks. (Which will be the week of January 20th). Hopefully baby number 2 will not be as stubborn as Sean was and the appointment will go smoothly. Though Sean was nice to show us between his legs right away, he wouldn't turn, which caused the U/S technician problems when they had to measure the heart. Eventually he turned but not until after about 3 hours!

Now that I'm in my 12th week of pregnancy (as of today), I'm hoping that I will start getting my energy back... being almost out of the first trimester. As I start my 13th week next Monday, hopefully I'll start to feel more energetic, that would be good.

After my quick doctor's appointment - which I'm happy we left the house in the huge snow storm to go to - we went to my grandmother's for lunch. Then we came back to the west island, I picked up some groceries while Sean slept in the car with my mom, and chilled out at home for the rest of the afternoon. My sister stopped by for a bit and then I made dinner for Jamie & I. I made a recipe tonight that was on my Campbell's Cream of Broccoli soup can. It was delicious! Something quick that I would most DEFINITELY make again. I will share the recipe tomorrow, I don't have the can here with me now, and I wanted to type it up and print it out to put in my recipe keeper book. Fast & easy, I like that! It took me about 15-20 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes in the oven. I like that!

This evening I gave Sean a bath, and then Jamie & I watched Heroes while Sean tired himself out playing. As soon as Heroes was over, I crawled into my bed with Sean, and he drank a bottle and fell asleep (not in my arms, but next to me). I watched TLC while he drank his bottle (a show about Quintuplets - I could never imagine having more than 1 baby!) and then transferred him SUCCESSFULLY into his crib! Phew. I hope this keeps up. I'm sure it's all due to the breathable air in our home now!

Tomorrow I'm not sure what's on tap, but I have some phone calls to make, some laundry to do, and some chores to take care of. I have some errands to run also, but I think that will have to wait, especially if the snow keeps up. I may leave those until Wednesday when I have to leave the house.

December 2 of 31

Last night was brutal. I did not get enough sleep. Sean slept from about 11pm when we got home from our friends birthday dinner, and woke up at about 4:15 am. I changed his diaper, and he wouldn't take his bottle in his crib. So I sat on his floor and gave him his bottle in my lap, while playing Baby Einstein Lullaby Classics on his CD player. He started to fall asleep in my arms, so I put him into his crib, and he sat up, and started bawling his eyes out. I tucked him into his blanket, and tried caressing his back, but he wasn't interested. He wanted to be back in my arms. I told myself last night I wouldn't let him get his way. So I tucked him in again, raised the bar on his crib, put the lullaby CD back to song 1, and left the room. He started to bawl his eyes out and cried/screamed for 40 minutes from 4:35 am until 5:15 am. It broke my heart. Just as I was ALMOST going to crack, he passed out. I was sooo happy, and overtired. He slept until about 7:30 am, which was fine by me.

At 9pm tonight we went to his playroom to play a bit, and then at 9:30 pm, I got him into his pj's, gave him a bottle and he fell asleep in my bed with me. I had Jamie take the pillow case off my pillow and lay it in his crib. I am hoping that my scent (and the warmth from me just laying on it) will keep him content tonight. Crossing my fingers. I'd like 1 night of good sleep. It's been 3 nights of really bad sleep. Knock on wood. We also put the humidifier in his room, hoping that maybe it'll help as well, (we've been finding our bedroom very dry). We also lowered the temperature in the house, it's been too hot upstairs every night on top of it being dry.

The thing that touched me the most today, I was sitting on Sean's playroom floor, and I have been very emotional lately (hormones!) and I started crying, and Sean turned around, dropped his toy, and wrapped his arms around me. That made me cry even more. I think I just needed a good cry, but this kid of mine, I swear, at 11 months old, just made me love him even more at that very one moment.

How could I not love this face and smile?? He's my cutie. Just not so cute in the middle of the night when he doesn't want to sleep in his own crib!

Tomorrow morning I have my first OB check up for baby number 2. Unless my doctor says otherwise, I'm assuming my due date is July 11th, 2008, according to the calculator. I will know more tomorrow though. I'm also going to probably go for a blood test, so I'm bringing some knitting and my book in case. They are calling for a LOT of snow tonight, so I'm hoping it's not too bad.

I've listed the January Sock Club Kits. For January, we have Perfect Day Yarns dying to the yarn, and Montreal's very own designer Mona Schmidt designing the sock pattern! Very excited for this new kit. I'm leaving up the last few kits of December's Sock Club until tomorrow morning, but when I get up, they won't be for sale anymore, so here's your last chance to get yourself a kit, if you haven't already.

December 1 of 31

Last night was horrible again. Sean woke up at about 3:45 am, and would not take the bottle in his bed (I tried this first, as it's worked before, where he'll still be somewhat asleep, drink what he wants and then rolls over asleep). So I brought him into our bed, and he fell asleep after drinking his bottle in my arms. A little bit later, I tried transferring him back to his crib, and he realized he was in his crib, sat up and and started bawling his eyes out.

I do not know what to do.

This can't keep happening. I'm ready to rip my hair out.

He can't keep sleeping in my bed. I'm exhausted when he does. I don't sleep properly. Why can't he go back into his crib like he does the first part of the night?? I just don't understand why he's being so attached to me as of late. It can't be the move to the new house, we've been here 2 weeks now, and this is the first sign of it. Plus, he's good at sleeping over at my in-law's and my parents house. Can't be that? Can't be the new baby on the way, I'm barely showing, and he doesn't know/realize?? Can't be that? Teething? Why would he be more clingy now than before with his other teeth?

I do not know what to do. All I know is that I'm exhausted, and this can't keep up.

This afternoon during his nap, I tried to transfer him TWICE to his crib. No go. He just wanted to nap in my arms. I was sooo tired, I let him, because I wanted to sleep too.

Tonight, I'm not letting him sleep in our bed. No matter how much he cries.

We just got in from a friend's birthday dinner at his girlfriends house. It was a fabulously delicious dinner. Home italian cooking. Delicious! We even got to bring home leftovers. I won't complain! I think I'm coming down with a cold. My nose is running. Sucky deal.

Just a reminder, there is 1 more day to purchase yourself a December Sock Club kit. I've left them onsale over the weekend. I've also decided to add some extra little goodies to the December Sock Club kits for the holidays - since they'll be arriving around Xmas time. Here's your last chance to endulge in the goodness! The yarn I have to says is wintery delicious, and the pattern is absolutely beautiful. I'm also in love with the stitch markers I've made to match the yarn. Last chance!

Noro is now on sale until December 10th. 15% off, just like the Claudia's Handpainted. Both will remain 15% off until the 10th, which is a week Monday.
