(It wasn't my main knitting project during this period,
there is no way it should ever take this long to knit!)
I-cords were done June 1st, 2008.
Modifications: Followed pattern as published.
Opinion: Very cute, not sure I'd knit another one though. We'll see how it fits Mackenzie when he's born, and that will make my decision about ever knitting it again.

Now I just need that baby to come out to wear it! I'm sure it'll fit him right away. It's tiny!

For the I-cord, I didn't feel like knitting it, and wanted to try out one of these Susan Bates Knitty Knobby Spools that I carry in stock. Let me tell you, it's the neatest thing ever!! It doesn't take long at all, and it requires no concentration at all. And the I-cord comes out really neat! Love it! It was the perfect added touch to the Sweet Baby Cap.

I had picked up one of these Singer Spool Knitting Machines at Walmart. I thought it was a neat idea for 12.88$ CAD. I finally got the chance last night to play around with it (before I remembered that I had the Susan Bates Knitty Knobby's in stock, and well, I'm 150% disappointed in this product, and will be taking it back to Walmart for a refund. The machine is definitely aimed at 6 year old girls, and not for intermediate-to-advanced knitters, like myself. I honestly wish it wasn't a cheap piece of plastic that it was, because the idea behind it is really neat.

So much so, that I picked up at the same time one of these Singer Knitting Machines which went for 19.88$ CAD. After being highly disappointed with the Spool Knitter (being a piece of crap), I didn't even bother to take this out of the box, and it will be returned as well back to Walmart. Oh well. I tried. Thought it was neat, but it's just not. I definitely DO NOT recommend them to anyone. Not worth dropping a dime on them.

Today we had Jakob's 1st (family) birthday party. We had a lot of fun, and next Sunday Sean got invited to Jakob's 1st (friends) birthday party. Lucky kid gets 2 parties! I didn't take my camera out of my purse (my bad), so I'm waiting for photographs from my mom & sister whom both took on their cameras. If there are any nice ones, I'll post them tomorrow.

I somehow managed to snag the last spot in Knitterly Things Vesper Sock Yarn Club for June, July & August. I'm sooo very excited because I've always eyed this yarn (own 1 skein of Vesper that I was gifted) and just love it. I can't wait to see what's in store for me. It's probably a badart thing that when I went to check it out that there was ONE last spot left... I was like "mine, mine, mine!" Speaking of Sock clubs, Robyn's Nest July Sock Club is listed, and will run until the end of the month for sale, or until it sells out. Don't forget that I'm doing something special for the month of July due to the mini-vacation that the sock club is taking for the summer.

Go on over and wish Veronik Avery a happy birthday! It's also Blogless Madeleine's birthday today too. Happy Birthday Madeleine! (Gotta love Ravelry's Birthday page! I can't wait to see who shares a birthday with me, but I can't check that out until the 15th (the day before), since it only does "day before & day of, and day after"...! I've never known anyone to share a birthday with me! I'm sure there are other knitters who do! June 16th anyone??

Wow, 2 FO's in a matter of 24 hours!! What's gotten into me??!! I have some more WIPs to get my hands on though....! I better get cracking! For now though, it's off to bed with my book.

Can anyone believe it's June already??
