march eleven

This morning Mack & I packed up and headed out to Ariadne for the mom & baby knit group. We were a small group today, Mary (who also owns Ariadne) with 5 month old Henry, Mona & 6 month old Hannah, and as well Jo came with her 9 year old son, and Erin was there too. Mack gave me TWO hours in the On-the-Go-Lounger that you see him sitting in above. He's getting a little big for it, but it did the trick today. His feet can actually reach the ground now in it. Remember when he was lost in this chair? In those 2 hours, I got some work done on my step-mother-in-law's vest. I need to get working on that to finish it as soon as possible. (It's still for her birthday which was in December past). I'll get there! I am almost done the back, and then there is just the front to finish.

Mack is pulling himself onto everything lately. I can't wait to see if he'll start walking holding onto everything. Right now he's just trying to find his balance. I can't believe how fast he's growing up.

He'll seriously pull himself up onto anything he can get his hands on! Like his playpen...!

The other day when I showed you my Amelah Sock pattern design, which I myself have yet to knit (my sister did the test knitting for me for that one), I forgot to show you the lovely yarn that goes along with it. Once again, it's Sweet Paprika Designs Messa di Voce in Secret Garden. The yarn is über soft, and I just can't wait to find the time to cast on my Amelah socks!

This evening I went out with West Island Knits and had a good time. I love having this group to go to, to get out of the house. It's my personal time every week, no kids, no hubby... just knitting & friends who knit (or crochet). Tonight we were a nice sized group. Of course, we went back to a restaurant where we'd had not so good service before, and well, what have you know it... more bad service. I really think that the waitresses that get hired there don't need to have a brain or something. No matter how many times you would tell the waitress something, or ask her for napkins or a straw, or for a chicken salad salad (chicken salad on a salad), or mint green tea, she couldn't get the order right. I think maybe we'll avoid that restaurant for a while again, and see maybe if things change in the future.... Maybe they just can't handle larger groups??

Mack is going to be a speed walker before you know it.

I think I would just avoid that restaurant. If its consistently bad service why put yourself through that?

My 8yo loved entertaining Mack at the end. ;-) One day he'll be a babysitter, he loves younger kids so much.
