Guess what arrived in the mail today while Sean was smiling in the bath?

(I was TOTALLY not expecting it, since I thought International orders didn't go out til yesterday. I love it, I love it, I love it! I can't wait untilt here is daylight tomorrow, so I can photograph the yarn in proper natural light! The post man dropped this off this evening, while I was giving Sean his bath. I knew it was Canada Post though, since the post man ALWAYS rings twice. I'm still expecting other stuff in the mail, so I thought it was that... Jamie answered the door, since I was bathing Sean, and all I heard Jamie say was... "You just made my wife one happy woman!" And I knew what it was. This package is ALL that I've been talking about for the last week.....!

This is Sophie Kinsella. She's the author of the Shopaholic series and a bunch of other books. She was in Montreal tonight, at the Chapters downtown, signing books. Since I didn't know about it until too late, my brother's girlfriend, picked me up a copy and got it autographed for me.

Here is her latest book autographed. How freakin' cool is that? It even says my name!

So now, I own all these books from her:

I'm just missing one, which is Can you Keep a Secret?, which I want. Did you know, taht Sophie Kinsella is not her real name, it's Madelaine Wickham, which is another name (her real name) that she writes under. I can't decide if she looks more like a Madelaine or more like a Sophie. Too hard to tell! Anyhow, Thank you Melissa for getting me one of my fave author's book signed! Another thing that made my day today! (And yes, her 2nd book is Shopaholic Takes on Manhattan but I bought my copy while I was waiting in the airport in London, England, at Heathrow, and it's the European title to her 2nd book).

This is what I've been up to tonight:

These are some earrings that I made tonight. The top ones are made out of real coconut. The rainbow ones are fun, and the last 2 pairs are made from real sea shells. They're all awesome, and they will be going into my Etsy Shop tomorrow. If anyone is interested in an advance purchase, let me know, I'l send you a paypal invoice! If not, they'll be in my Etsy shop as soon as possible.

haha. i just posted that her real name is Madeleine Wickham. . (I obviously missed that sentence in the post)

ANYWAYS.. i just recently found that out from my co-worker and borrowed a copy of Tennis Party - that she wrote under Madeleine. It's not bad-- but definitely not the brit chick-lit that I am used to with her pseudonym Sophie's shopoholic-types... (apparently there are about 5 or 6 written under Ms. Wickham.

Summer left a comment on my blog earlier & I clicked on your name from her blog....Anyway, I LOVE Sophie Kinsella!! I am so jealous of your autographed copy! I picked up the newest a few weeks ago at Target (the weekend before it officially came out)! I've been meaning to post about my love for all things shopaholic...so I think I'll have to do that!

Your baby is precious, by the way!

OMG, OMG!!!! Hi Robyn, I am such a Shopaholic fan too. You are my SP10 host, and I was checking out your blog and saw this post. I just love all her books. I didn't even know a new one came out until the other day when I was in the book store buying "Knitting Under The Influence", and right there in Newly Released books was "SHOPAHOLIC & BABY". I knew it had to be coming, but wow, by chapter 2 Becky is already up to her old tricks. Well, I look forward to a fun and exciting SP.

Hope you enjoyed the book. BTW, that's one CUTE baby!
