february three

I've been thinking of getting a new 'do lately. I'm kind of sick of just putting my hair up in a bun/ponytail. Just sick of it. Time for a new do. I have an idea in my head of what I'd like my hair do to be. Just need to find my friend who does my hair cuts and set an appointment. I need something that is completely manageable.

My sister came over this afternoon on her way home and somehow her 35 stitches became double that, so I frogged her scarf for her, and helped her re-start it. She's at about the same point again of the scarf, and is keeping 35 stitches per row. I am making her count after each row she does to make sure that she still has 35 stitches at the end. I am hoping this time it gets easier for her!

Stop the rescue search! My Rosewood DPN has been found! I even got down on hands & knees to search for it, but it was where I originally had all 5 of them, with another set, and one got left behind (in a nook on my desk). (Brown on brown... yeah, hard to see!) I even went thru (with rubber gloves) the bag in my vaccuum cleaner.... silly me... had I just looked harder! Those Rosewoods are not cheap..... I was hoping it wasn't lost forever! Phew!

Speaking of finding things... I found our bottle opener. It was given to us as a gift for our engagement (with a set of wine glasses and a decanter). Anyhow, I knew that it made it from the duplex to the new house, but couldn't figure out for the life of me where I'd put it. (Pregnancy brain). Anyhow, turns out, it was where I thought it was, but it was put behind a box and I couldn't see it. But... I decided to clean out on top of the fridge in the cupboard and found it. Just knew it was there all along. And now, it's in a safe place, where it will be acccessible the next time a bottle of wine needs to be opened.

Sean fell asleep tonight sitting up. He was beyond exhausted. He's been sometimes refusing to nap in the afternoon (today was one of those days) and so at 7:20 pm, he's out for the night. I'm hoping he does not get up at 5 am. It took me a few minutes to realize he was fast asleep. I was sitting on the couch next to him and we were watching TV. After a few minutes I realized he was silent (odd for him!) and he was out cold... an easy transfer to his crib, and voila. He has been sleeping through the nights lately, last night he did kvetch at about 4 am for a few minutes, but he fell back asleep after I ignored him. I think the no-night-light thing (by taking it out of his room) has made him not realize that he's alone in his crib at night, and therefore isn't missing me in the middle of the night. The other thing I need to work on, is for him to NOT cry when I leave the room. He can EASILY be with other people alone without me, but either once he sees me, or realizes I'm not there but can see where I am.... that's the end of that... he's a mommy's boy. While I love that he loves me.... it's not good that he wants to be with me... always. Oh, this better not happen all the way until he starts his daycare program in the fall...

The March Sock Club Kits are now listed at Robyn's Nest. You have until the end of the month (or until spaces run out) to purcahse this kit. The yarn will be themed for March, and handpainted by Shelby of Shelby B on Etsy. It will be an exclusive colorway that you can't get anywhere else. The pattern this month will be designed by none other than Montreal's own Angela of Faerie Crafty!

I had to do the same thing with my 7 year old granddaughter. Heck, I have to do it all the time myself!

Hey mamasita, I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. How's the weather been up your way? Today it has snowed all day long - not a huge accumulation but enough to mess with rush hour, that's for sure.

Sean is so adorable sleeping like that - I like the ankles crossed!

you know, it must be a stage--to only cry upon seeing mom/once the kid realizes mom is gone. My niece does that. Not sure when they grow out of that though. Hope your sister is able to keep track of her stitches! yay for finding your rosewood and your can opener (even though you weren't really looking for that one!).
