march nine

This morning after dropping off Sean at daycare, I headed off to my nutritionist. I see her 3 times as week, during my weight loss period. (I go Monday-Wednesday-Friday mornings). As of today I'm 16.6 lbs down. One more pound and I'm halfway at my goal! (Which should bring my to my goal at around the end of May, providing I lose 2 lbs per week (which is the healthy amount to lose per week). I've been feeling so much better lately, more energized, and also, I've noticed the inches coming off. It's a nice feeling. And honestly, I cannot wait to reach my goal weight before summer even starts. I've also started to work out, doing sit ups/crunches, and using the treadmill. There are a few other pieces of equipment that I wish I owned, and I actually think I may go out and get a yoga exercise ball. I remember some good exercise that a trainer once showed me when I was part of a gym when I was living in the city, and both Jamie & I were seeing this trainer. Maybe those will help me tone my belly pregnancy flab. Hopefully when I go to get my measurements done on Friday I'll have lost some more inches off my waist, which will show that the sit-ups/crunches are doing something. I'm also keeping my eye open for a Wii Fit for our nintendo wii. The last time I inquired about one, the store was sold out. I've been dying to try it out.

After the nutritionist we had the 10 am playgroup. (Which as of next week will be the only playgroup I shall be going to from now on). Honestly, the moms in the 10 am playgroup are extremely more mature than some of the mom's in the playgroup in the afternoon that I've been going to since August of last year. I really do not have time for high school bullshit, and that's what has been going on in the afternoon playgroup. And I've been leaving the morning playgroup before it's even over because of the afternoon one, and I don't want to have to leave early. So today was our last afternoon playgroup and since tomorrow (or maybe today) is Purim - a Jewish Holiday that is like Hallowe'en, where you dress up the kids, I had the perfect costume for Mack, which was Sean's first Hallowe'en costume (6-12 months size).

Mack & friend.

I just love the feet!

For those of you curious, the costume is by Tom Arma (who is a photographer) and I got the costume on Ebay. Not sure where else it's sold?

This is a picture of most of the gang from Monday afternoon at the Purim party. Aren't they all adorable?

When I got home, I was upset to see that the car seat that I ordered for Mack from Toys R Us was left on my front porch. A HUGE box, just sitting there. My front porch can be seen by everyone passing by. Now, I'm not sure if this is Canadapost's fault or ToysRUs is to blame. I am just glad that it was still there when I got home. (There have been some break-in's in the neighborhood, not on my street but nearby and who knows!) Who knows how long it has been sitting outside on my porch.

I'm going to go back on the couch and watch some TV with Jamie and finish working on a quick knitted project that I need to have done before tomorrow night. More details on that tomorrow!

Great job on the weight loss! It sure is slow and hard going at times. I'm down another 6 in the past few weeks and the nice part is I've not been trying. I think stress has been helping though. :-(

The kids are adorable! Especially Mack. I don't think anyone would disagree that those feet are fantastic! LOL

Be glad the ding-dong delivery guys left the box on the porch and not at the road. Our mail guy leaves things right at the bottom of the driveway by the post for the mailbox which is just inches from the road. Anyone driving buy could just scoop it up. They also leave smaller packages hanging on peoples boxes. We have a low income housing development up across the highway and some of the kids there are horrible troublemakers down here in our neck of the woods. There are multi-billion $ camps all around that they break in to. Seems ridiculous to tempt fate by leaving things out for them to grab as they walk down the road. Grrr!

We just got the Wii fit this week. I love it! It keeps track of your weight too, you have to do a daily body test and what not and then it's a bit like having a personal trainer as well. Fun fun fun!! I recommend it. :-)
The kids look adorable!!

Oy Mackie's is too cute in that outfit!

Good job on the 16 pounds!!! Keep it up!

The exercise balls are like under $10 @ Walmart! They are great to have. I think I have a video too some where from Core Secrets for activities to do on it.
