march ten :: 38 weeks old

Mack is 38 weeks old today.

He also seems to be getting tricky to photograph in our weekly photographs lately.

This morning I got myself organized and out the door to go meet Mona and her daughter Egg at the movies. First we went for lunch, and then to see the mom & baby movie which was Slumdog Millionaire. It was a really good movie, however I would have enjoyed it even more if Mack would have stayed still during the movie. He was all over the place. I think this very well may have been his last movie for a while!

After the movie I ran into my great-aunt at the mall where the theater is, and talked to her for a bit. I wanted to get home though, as I didn't want to sit in any traffic today and I had some errands to run on the way home.

Upon picking up Sean from daycare, I always check his "Happy Book". (That's what Sean calls it!) Anyhow, I am glad to start seeing all Happy Faces checked off. He has the teachers rate him on Behavior, Listened Well, Food (how well he ate), Activities (like did he participate) and Nap (did he nap?) He's been getting all happy faces (instead of flat face - meaning "so so") and he rarely gets frowns. I am kind of glad that they do this, at least I get to see what's going on with Sean while I'm not there. They always leave a note, about what he did during that day.

I have some knitting FO's to show you! (Little ones!)

Mitered Square Earrings

And an I-cord Necklace.

I don't really have specs for either of these, just that I used leftover sock yarn bits, and that I used 2.5 mm knitting needles and I used the pattern for my sock blanket that I'm working on for the earrings, however, I casted on 21 sts for the earrings.

Why did I knit these?

Because tonight at the Montreal Knitting Guild Meeting, there was a raffle for prizes.
For each knitted item you wore you got a raffle ticket.
(Socks count as 1 ticket, as well as gloves, earrings, etc.)

So tonight I was decked out in socks, fingerless gloves, hat, mini-clapotis, earrings, i-cord necklace, bracelet & turtleneck shrug. It was fun! (But I was really warm in everything I was wearing).

I did however win a ball of Regia Nordic Color #5512. I really like the colorway, what a great prize to win!
