April 16 of 30

Last night I couldn't sleep - so I decided to cast on another square, and watch Running With Scissors. What a weird movie, but I liked it for it's weirdness! I timed how long an uninterrupted square takes me - 1 hour and 48 minutes during the 2 hour movie. I started the movie at 2 am this morning, finishing it at almost 4 am. Sean slept in until almost 10 am this morning, so I still got 6 hours of sleep. Phew!

I received these beauties in the mail this morning from the blogless Anita. Thank you Anita - they are wonderful. I'm loving the wire she used, and emailed her to find out what it is - or where I could find it - I'm thinking about switching over to use it next time. Maybe I'll hit up the craft shop to see what it was - or maybe the hardware store even! I am putting them into my purse for the next time I go shopping! (Maybe tomorrow - want to know what it is!!) It's like bendable wire, and it holds shape!

Got an email from Scout today - that my yarn has been dyed and shipped. The green appletini above is mine, as well as one of the brown/cream/turquoise snowbunny! I can't wait to get my swag! (Above photo is curtosey of today's Scout's Swag Blog Post). I hope Scout feels better - she hurt herself. Feel better Scout!

I filmed the above video before we left to do errands today. Sean wanted to say hello to everyone! He's cooing all the time now, and I love it!

I did some post office shipping, some item pick-ups and took care of my to-do list. I then ran over to Sean's doctor's appointment, and we were 30 minutes early, so since his doctor had no one, she took us right away. That was nice of her. Sean's thrush is 100% gone, (that is the main reason we went), and she feels his breathing is a-okay (sometimes I feel like he sounds like he's panting, but maybe it's me over-analyzing his breathing!). I had Sean weighed, and he's 14 lbs 3 oz now. He's just above the 50th percentile now, which is dead smack average. Yey - my boy is finally average for his "age"...!

This evening Sean got his first taste at Cereal. We started him off with like 3 bites. Just to see his reaction:

I will be giving him cereal for breakfast and dinner now. We'll start there.

I think Sean liked his cereal so much that he fell asleep two minutes later:

I got this email today from one of the baby weekly emails I get: (I thought it was cute)

Hi Robyn!

You knew many things would change once you became a mother, but did you expect your vocabulary would be one of them? Here are some common words that may have taken (or will take) on new meaning thanks to your baby:

Amnesia: The condition that enables a woman who has gone through labor to make love again.

Feedback: The inevitable result when your baby doesn't appreciate the pureed carrots.

Full name: What you call your child when you're really mad at him.

Grandparents: The people who think your children are wonderful even though they're sure you're not raising them right.

Hearsay: What toddlers do when anyone mutters a dirty word.

Impregnable: A woman whose memory of labor is still vivid.

Independent:How we want our children to be as long as they do everything we say.

Ow:The first word spoken by children with older siblings.

Puddle: A small body of water that draws other small bodies wearing dry shoes and socks into it.

Show off: A child who is more talented than yours.

Sterilize: What you do to your first baby's pacifier by boiling it and to your last baby's pacifier by blowing on it.

Two minute warning: When your baby's face turns red and she begins to make those familiar grunting noises.

I must go finish some ETSY orders I've received and some custom orders as well - all in the stitch marker department!

Sean seems to have a lot to say and has some deep thoughts about the cereal.

My scout took about 6 work days to get to me. I love it and want more.

The wire on those stitch markers looks and sounds like picture-hanging wire! Easy to find at a hardware store, or even Target/WalMart/etc.

The wire looks like Beadalon coated beading wire (it's like tiny little airplane cable, wrapped in plastic so it doesn't snag) - you can buy it at any craft store that stocks beading supplies. I use it for necklaces but I like her design - how clever is that?!?

I think that wire is called Flex Wire and can be found at most beading and/or craft stores. It's cool to use!
