April 10 of 30

Tonight I finished my mini-clapotis. Whoot! She's in the process of being blocked. (Don't worry I corrected that part of the scarf that looks like it points "out"... it's all straight now for blocking. Unfortunately I was too lazy to photograph it after fixing that.

Here is a photograph of the clap up close. I love how she looks. I think I'm going to have to let her block for a few days... to make sure she stays straight. She only took me 1 skein of Cascade Quatro - and I made it longer than what the pattern to "alter" it said to do.

Sean's admiring mommy's knitting. He's debating whether he wants to pull all the stitches off the needle or not - LOL!

I love these little booties that he's wearing. They have "feet" of their own, and a little lion's tail as well. I think they came with a sleeper that Angela got for Sean when he was born. That sleeper no longer fits him, but the bib he still uses, and the slippers are just about too small... maybe next week they'll no longer fit him. (This kid has way too many pairs of socks, and slippers and booties, and Robeez for his own good!) (Definitely a well dressed kid - I tell you that).

Today Jamie & I did an Entourage marathon. The end of Season 3 just started on HBO - and we had a lot of catching up to do. Today we watched the last 2 episodes of Season 1 and most of Season 2. (Episodes are 24 minutes long). Anyhow, while watching TV, (besides knitting), I peeled carrots and Jamie cut them up. We had a little system going on, and we managed to do a lot - Jamie wants some to take to work to munch on (instead of eating junk - since he wants to do this "diet/lifestyle change" with me), and I want some too. We had the dip out that we made (sour cream container - you mix 1 pouch of onion soup mix into sour cream, put it in the fridge for 20 minutes + to absorb, and voila - the greatest tasting veggie dip ever!) REALLY!

Today I got some leftover sock yarn from another SP10 member in my group. I'm guessing that it's not the end of the world if I mention who has sent me yarn - as long as they don't blog about what they are sending their pal - then their pal probably won't be able to figure them out just by reading their blog. So, so far - a great big thank you goes out to:

Ann
Kimber
Kadi

I think I got those people right. (I really should write things down!) You guys were too kind to donate leftover stash for Sean's blankie.

Shout outs also go to others whom have donated yarn for this project:

I was thinking about signing up for a class at the Saidye Bronfman center to take a jewelry making class. However, they've closed their doors. Read the article here. This saddens me, because had I known, I would have taken the jewelry making class that just just just ended last week. Ugh!

It's good to create an interest in yarn when children are young.

Nice Clapotis! I'm very tempted to make a second one.

Oh no! That's so sad about the SBC - one of my favorite Mtl places... it used to be a place for all to create and learn. It seems so short-sighted...
Saidye wouldn't be pleased

The Clap looks great! I can't believe you got a full scarf from one ball of yarn- you can make a matching hat and gloves/mittens! There are patterns out there for a Clapotis hat and I think mittens...or something else. You can have a full set! I'm glad to see Sean enjoys his Bumbo- aren't they great? When I saw Jackie using one with Bradley I knew I HAD to have one. p.s. thanks for making me crave veggies and dip while I'm at work and can't get any LOL
