february six

Not sure if I am liking my new haircut. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate it. Just don't love it. I may wait a few weeks (4-6 weeks) and when I need a trim, get my usual girl (who is busy this week and couldn't help me out with my crazy pregnancy "I need to cut my hair now" time slot, and get her to fix it then... I can live with it for a few weeks. It's not that bad.

Sean loves his new chair. I got it for him yesterday with some of his leftover birthday money. I got it so that I can have something upstairs in my bedroom when I need him to be sitting to have a bottle. His flip-open sofa couch is too big to lug up and down the stairs, so I got the Spiderman chair instead. I think I may permanently keep it in my bedroom, but we'll see. He loves his new "dish" style chair. I wish they made adult size ones this cheap. Or I wish I fit into that size!

Sean & I didn't go to our classes this morning (music & my aqua class). He woke up with a runny nose, and a cough, and I was just beat. I crashed last night at 10 pm. Out cold. For hours. And this morning, still beat. Sean too. So, we took it easy this morning.

This afternoon, when I finally got my act together, and all that jazz, Sean and I headed out the door to run a few errands. Then we met up with Angela, and headed eventually to Java U for the NDG knit night. Sean gave me about an hour and a bit of knitting before he got restless (throwing goldfish and his toys on the floor) and we were not able to stay any longer. I managed to get a bit of knitting done. Actually, upon getting home, I finished (cast on and finished today!) a Meathead Hat for Sean. It's super cute. Details to come tomorrow, I will photograph it once Sean gets up in the morning. All the ends are weaved in and everything.

Thanks Sarah for Sean's bunny ears! This was just before Sean lost his patience sitting in his booster seat. 1 hour 15 minutes was long enough for this kid! I'm shocked he even lasted that long! Above, I'm working on Sean's meathead hat...!

While out tonight, the Wrap that I won over at DE Reviews arrived. However, UPS wanted to charge me a C.O.D. for it, so Jamie (with my permission) had to reject it. Unfortunately I wasn't going to pay to receive a prize that I won (as a gift!) Hopefully this issue will become resolved, and I'll be able to get my prize! I was so excited to win it - at least there is time before I will need it for baby boy number 2... he's not due to arrive until the end of Spring/very beginning of summer. Gosh, I really hope this gets resolved soon.

One of my new fave shows (filmed in Montreal apparently!) is Sophie on CBC. Apparently ABC just picked it up! We have the same diaper bag (from Sears) how cute is that? (Not really, but I think it is! I've never seen anyone else with it!)

I think your new shorter hair is very cute! And blowdrying it maybe isn't such a bad idea, will make it more puffy, but I know how it is with shorter hair, you really have to work on it to make 'somethihng' out of it, long hair is just so easy (and boring too, since it's so easily put in a ponny tail and most of the time ends up that way!).

I saw your finished meathead hat on ravelry. It's adorable, and Sean seems to like wearing it!

I knit my pepto pink socks using a basic ribbed sock pattern from a lys. It wasn't in the ravelry pattern database, so I will have to look it up again. I don't really think they're supposed to be slouchy, but the kid is still growing, so it's all good!

That is the sweetest chair ever!! I need to find one like that for Tate one of these days. :) And they wanted to charge you for the wrap? Like duty fees? I thought the wrap was under $40 value, because then you should have to get charged any duty...weird. Hopefully you can get the wrap though!

Did you know that Sophie is an adaptation of a French-Canadian show? Personally, I like the French version better. Season two aired last fall, so let me know if you want some spoilers ;)

I like your new hair cut but if it isn't totally what you envisioned that can be disappointing.

I can't wait to see the hat you made Sean - I bet it's cute!

I love how you've pulled your hair back despite the fact that thats the reason you wanted to get it cut RIGHT NOW.

I was going to mention the French Sophie but Caroline beat me to it! I think it was called "Les hauts et les bas de Sophie Paquin" or whatever her last name was. Funny...I was excited to see it was being redone in English, but all the stuff I liked about it don't come over well. The English Sophie is a little too...I don't know...manic? It's still a cute show, but after watching a few episodes of the French version I can't watch the English one. You're unspoiled so you get to enjoy it for me! :)

LOL- is it embarassing if I admit I went to a NKOTB concert? And have the comics? And have a Jordan doll?

i had heard about new kids getting back together. apparently there's a song up on their website. I heard a lil while ago. oh my gosh, that dish chair rocks! I know what you mean about not wanting to drag the fold-out up and down the stairs, hence the reason I suggested you get two. lol! I can't believe they wanted to charge you for the wrap! :P hopefully it'll get resolved quickly!

Today another update was added to the NKOTB Website. Last week Danny Wood's myspace said that you can't believe anything unless it is from NKOTB.com and now it is :) AHHHHH!!! This is so the greatest thing ever. I have seen Joe twice when he went solo and that was great but I can't wait for this one.

Hey. I thought I would come over and check out your blog and comment on the Sleepy Wrap. That stinks about the COD thing. That's nuts and I hope they fix it for you soon. I got the Sleepy wrap to hopefully use with my 16 month old Maggie as a back wrap and for the new baby but not so much when she's newborn. I like the sling better for the newborn stage. I just got the wrap the other day and I haven't actually used it. I put her in it a couple of times to just practice wrapping it but gosh it wore me out just getting it on. Maybe that has to do with pregnancy. : ( Anyway. I have to give it a few more tries with her.

Your son is so cute and congrats on your new baby. Mine will be about 21 months apart but I see yours will be closer. :) I hope all goes well. Many blessings,
Emily
