february four: 21 weeks pregnant

This morning we started out with our gym class. Sean loves his classes at the Y. They are just way too much fun. He loves climbing on things, over things, under things, playing with the other kids. And I love having interaction with other mommies.

After our class this morning we headed over to my ex-neighbor Leah's house. She now lives about 20 minutes away from me house. She lives with her husband and their son (15 month old Jack). Jack was in Sean's class this morning. Leah does estetician work and I decided to get her to wax my eyebrows. It was long overdue for someone to do them, and they were almost a wild jungle! My face feels so much better now that my eyebrows are waxed, shaped, etc. So clean feeling! Sean had a great time playing with Jack, and I think the two boys really are best friends now. They play really well together, and it's great. I think next Monday after the class they'll come over to our house to play for a bit. And I will definitely be going back to Leah's for my eyebrows again the future.

21 weeks pregnant makes me do crazy things. 21 weeks pregnant with Sean, I chopped my hair off... 21 weeks pregnant with baby boy number 2.....

I started off with long hair this morning.... well, past shoulder length hair anyhow....

And then chopped it off!! It was must needed.... I was just getting fed up with it. Always just wearing it in a bun.... and not doing anything special with it. Occasionally I'd convince someone to straighten it... but to maintain it myself, was a huge pain the arse.

We swapped babies for the photo. The girl who cut my hair today (someone my sister knows), has an almost 1 year old daughter. Sean had fun playing with her while I got my hair cut.

I really love my new do. I really love this new picture of me. I think I look super cute in it. (And I usually hate myself in photos!) But this one I just love. (Photo credit to my sister).

This is the hair style I was kinda going for. The girl didn't cut it 100% like that, but maybe next time I can find someone who can (when it needs to be maintained). Also - she blowdryed my hair today with a round brush, so maybe that's why I'm not getting the full effect of what I wanted. I am going to try to straighten it tomorrow with the iron after swimming class and see how it comes out. It'll probably be a breeze these days to straighten my hair! (There's not much left! LOL)

The next time I'm feeling daring - I totally LOVE this hair style as well. It's super cute. I love how it's long in the front and short in the back. Though, I think Jamie would totally kill me if I went this short. Maybe after 3 kids I'm allowed. Can someone tell me which Spice Girl this is?? I can't for the life of me remember her name, nor did the picture have a name.... it was just listed under "short haircuts" when I did some googling....

You see, Jamie loves long hair. Though I warned him today that I was cutting it, and he actually said it looks cute on me when he first saw it. Phew!!! Passed the husband test!

This is my adorable son tonight. Captain Hearbreaker. Oh, he's going to be a heartbreaker one day, I'm 150% sure of it. No questions about it. But for now, he'll be my cute 13 month old in cute pjs that were on sale at the Gap before he was even born. That's how long I've been waiting for him to fit into 12-18 month size. LOL.

21 weeks pregnant. Starting to not be able to bend down to pick things up anymore. Starting to not be able to carry Sean and myself up the stairs (I get too tired). Next time, there will not be an 18 month age difference between kids... (I'm starting to like Jamie's "talk to me in 3 years" business). I still definitely want to try again (one day!) for a girl. But that will come in time. And yes, I'm wearing my Montreal Canadiens pj pants. Don't you just love them? I'm going to the Montreal vs. Toronto game on Thursday night with my sister - I'm truly psyched!!! You may actually see TWO knitters at the game! Ha ha - Amy - bring your knitting!!! Really!

I keep meaning to do a blankie update. I will get to it. I promise. No progress was made on it today anyhow. Pictures to come. Hopefully tomorrow. I got a lot accomplished tonight upon getting home this evening and after we ate dinner. Even my office is starting to look more like an office (and not a dumping ground!) So happy I'm starting to get motivated to start organizing my office.

That would be Victoria Beckham a.k.a. Posh Spice.

Love the new haircut, it goes well with the shape of your face.

I just sent you an email and after reading this post I got all my answers. I love your hair cut! But the Posh haircut is super cute too and would be fairly easy to deal with. No hair on the neck is always good. I am actually working towards that hair cut right now but going the other way and letting my hair grow out!

Keep up the updates, I love following your pregnancy like I did with Sean. Does Sean realize there is a baby in your belly?

You look so cute with the new do! I think the spice girl is posh. My coworker got her hair cut like that first picture too.

Dude, that's Victoria Beckham or Posh Spice. She's the one married to David Beckham (as in Bend it Like Beckham). Nice do, enjoy the swingy hairs.

I totally used to have my hair in variations of that hairstyle from high school (very My So Called Life with red hair and everything) until I moved to Montreal. It really looks best when you get semi-regular haircuts (which I don't do).

Cute new 'do!! It looks great on you!! Hair is so fun to change when you need a change - because it always grows back. :)

Posh Spice's style is really popular right now - I'm actually pretty surprised that your stylist wasn't able to replicate it. Before my most recent hacking, I had that cut and it is every bit as cool looking and easy to deal with as you would think it is. Having the back stacked and short makes it super easy to do and it always looks great - but since the front's long, you don't feel like you have short hair.

Lovely 'do. Of course, the true test of any great haircut is whether you can reproduce the salon results at home! (I failed miserable yesterday).

Love the new haircut, it's super cute!

Let me know when you start trying for a girl, I'm currently reading a book on fertility and there's a chapter where the autor talks about how to conceive girls. ;)

your hair looks great!! that's so funny that you were looking into a cut like that because there's this girl who cut my hair last time and she had the longer, a bit grown out version of posh's hairdo and it's definitely very tempting!! I had the shorter version of posh's hairdo and wasn't able to find someone to keep it up.
i love that already has a lil best friend. too cute. :)

Love the cut too - the "Pob" (Posh Bob) or inverted bob - it's the same cut I'm growing into (I'm nearly there, I'll have to get OH to sort out a pic) and it's REALLY easy to care for. I just rough dry the back (though my hair is naturally straight) and then strighten the front with the irons. I have a big red wedge in mine though :)
The only problem I have with it is that it gets in your face a bit. I have more of a fringe than Posh's side-sweep to stop that. Also it sits on my specs which can be a pain. I don't do long hair though! :)

I love the new do on you, it looks great! What was that on Sean's t-shirt-- "j'aime mon ?" I couldn't read the last word.
