march one :: 31 days :: day one

Saturday. Day one of my Slow Month. We spent the entire day at home today. Did some cleaning up around the house, and also Jamie built a few items that were sitting in boxes. Those items included a Winnie the Pooh table & chair set that my sister got me for my baby shower for Sean, which will be going into our playroom (living room that we have no living room furniture for). I started cleaning up the living room a little bit too. Right now we won't be getting the loaner crib until about the 2nd week of April (it's in use by an out of town guest until then), so Sean's big boy room is still his play room until then. Another item that was built was this changing table (120D) (that was a gift from my parents). Jamie's dad & step-mom will be getting Sean a big boy dresser, and then his room will be complete for now. (Until we need to buy a big boy bed one day, and a desk when he starts school). He also put together this cute Winnie The Pooh storage unit for the baby's room - so that the baby has where to put his toys.

This evening we had friends over to watch the hockey game. THE MONTREAL CANADIENS ARE IN FIRST PLACE IN THE EASTERN CONFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We beat New Jersey tonight 2-1 putting us ahead of Ottawa, IN FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoooooooooooot! Playoffs here we come! (Stanley cup too!)

73 words

Speed test

I saw this speed test over on My Open Roads and wanted to see how fast I type. I know that I type fast, so it wasn't a surprise. I got only 1 error in those 74 words (bringing me to 73 words per minute). Can you type faster than me?? If so, let me know!

Nothing else exciting is going on around here. I was going to post the details to my 1,000th post contest on the blog - but it won't be posted tonight. (Too tired). There will be two parts. One will be for a certain number commenter. (so keep commenting!)... and the other one will be for another reason, which I'm still working out the details (It will be in relation to my Slow Month)...! So stay tuned for details! 21 days left until my 1000th post!

You threw Roxanne's name in there just to get me to buy the sock club didn't you? I am helpless and must go to your shop and order the sock club now.

Yeah I beat your score too, but only when I was REALLY trying. I'm sure my everyday typing speed is slower. I learned my typing skills back in my days of endless Instant Messenger!

I got 74 but I wonder if I would have had an even better score if the test had been in French. I'm wondering because when I typed family, I instinctively typed famille :P

not to brag but I got 93 words per minute but with three errors bringing me down to 90...talk about stressful though! I'm sure when I'm not so focused I'm much slower!

I got 92 WPM with 2 errors, bring me to 90 WPM. I've always been a fast typer. That was FUN!!! I'm also a Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing Addict. LOL

ick...I was only 66 words per minute with 3 errors. What a bummer since I type a lot at my job!

Ish, I only got 57 words per minute. Still, not too bad for someone with no formal training, I think. I wonder if I'd be faster in French?
