Some lovely new flowers in our front yard are blooming.

This afternoon after picking up the kids from daycare on my way home from work, I took the kids to the park. I even got some knitting done on Zoe’s February Baby Sweater.

Not only do I have 1 monkey, I now have 2.

tightropewalk

We were in the park and Sean says to me "Look mommy, I an tight rope walk" (balancing himself on the ledge of the sandbox). So I asked him, "where did you learn the word tight rope walk" and he responded "Wii". Ahh, how technology has an impact on our kids.

I forgot to mention that I finished the book I was reading: SAHM I am by Meredith Efken. While I enjoyed only the stay-at-home mom parts of this book. It was mainly way too religious for me. There was bible talk, and pastor's wives, and church stuff, and while I'm Jewish, but non-practicing, and open to other religions, I found it was a bit too much for me. I would not read this book again, and I'm not really sure I recommend it to anyone. I don’t know why I persisted to finish it – but for some reason I wanted to. Hey if anyone wants to read it – I’ll gladly pass it on (let me know). I did start a new book, The Penny Pincher’s Club by Sarah Strohmeyer. Hopefully it’ll be a lot better than what I just finished reading and it won’t take me as long as the last book did.

Can't wait to see Zoe's new FBS sweater - I started one in brown several years ago but it was eventually frogged. I also started a FLS for myself but it is on a time out - will probably return to it in the fall! If you don't get any local requests for your book let me know - I have read a few Steeple Cafe books and as I am a Christian don't think I will find the churchy bits too distracting. As for the monkey - Eli scaled the climbing wall at the park this week as if he has always been doing it! Took a while for my heart to settle especially as he threw up his hands and said "Ta-da" at the top!

Sucks the book was so religious. Oh well, now you know!

Yeah for sand! LOL :D Looks like fun! You got a mini park in front of your house and a pool 3 streets down! You are all set!

So cool that you get to knit while the kids are at the park. Hmm.... maybe I'll try that next time!

two monkeys are definitely better than one. well, at least you persisted and finished that book even though it was uber religious. i just saw the penny pincher's club in my amazon recommendations! :)
