My little bugger has started for the stash. He knocked it off the shelf. And then attempted to go for another one. I'm going to have to figure out another storage solution for my cones! (Not near his playpen in my office!)

I just got in from my step-brother-in-law's place and there was a message on Facebook from my Ex-boyfriend. (Remember the one who I ended up talking to his mother again in regards to quilting a few months before Sean was born?) Anyhow, it was nice of him to message me, but it was about sad news. Someone that I met through him, Kurtis, passed away last night in a fire. The story is here. Above is a picture of Kurtis & I from June of 2001. We lost touch sometime in 2002 when he got serious with his girlfriend (whom he was still dating currently, another old aquaintance of mine). I'm not torn up about his death, but it certainly is sad to know that someone my age, whom I used to be friends with, passed away. And in an ugly fire. What a cruel way to pass away. My condolences go out to his family. I can't imagine what they must be feeling. I've never lost anyone in a situation like this before.
On that note, I'm going to go tuck myself in for the night. Got a busy day tomorrow. I want to get my new shopping cart up & running tomorrow. It's about 85% ready! Just the last finishing touches.
Hope you all are having a great long weekend!

Take 2 O's and put them at the top of the board where the B is to make BOO. At least, it'll let you draw 2 more squares and hopefully get better letters...
I love that sock pattern! It looks simply wonderful. For some reason, I am a little afraid of cables. Don't ask me why. I'm not bad at them, I just think I want to invest in the straight cable needles instead of the plastic curved ones.
Love the fridge picture! I picked up a 6 pack of Smithwick, two giant steaks, corn on the cob, and yams. Thank goodness I'm off tonight!
You can spell "HOE" (like gardening) up at the top...
Sorry to hear about your acquaintance passing away. I felt the same way (really weirded out) when this one guy I knew in high school, who had a locker next to me in Junior High, got hit by a train. Yikes.
ooh, jamie's sock looks great!
