december seventeen :: 6 months old

Mack is 6 months old today. Half a Year. Wow.
I swear, didn't I just bring him home from the hospital?

I forgot to mention, yesterday I took Mack to the CLSC to get him weighed. I haven't had him weighed since his 4 month check up and didn't want to wait until his next doctor's appointment. The CLSC has a drop in baby weighing time on Tuesdays in my area. So I dropped by. As of yesterday, Mack weighs 15 lbs 7.0 oz.. Skinny! At 6.5 months old, Sean weighed 18 lbs 9 oz. (Sean weighed that at 4.5 months old). Crazy!

Happy 6 months old Mackie!

Ran some errands this afternoon, got some stuff accomplished.

This evening I went knitting with the West Island Knits Group. We did our Christmas exchange, and it was a lot of fun. Mack started with a hacking cough today, so I didn't bring him out tonight.

And we even had a raffle for prizes. What a lot of fun that was! (I think people in the Starbucks thought we were crazy). Despite the cold (Starbucks had no heat!) we had a lot of fun! I got to knit a bit on my Moss Block Cardigan, which I'm making for Mack. I will photograph the progress tomorrow. It's coming along nicely I have to say. I still have 2-3 other deadlines, but wanted to work on this tonight.

Starbucks even had some knitted related Christmas ornaments. How nice of them! They were really awesome actually. (And probably really easy to make!)

When I got home, I prepared the cupcakes I made for Sean's class Christmas party tomorrow. I had made the first part (above) before leaving the house and let them cool while I was out. Yes, for my Elmo obsessed kid I got Elmo wrappers for the cupcakes. Not as if the kids will notice though.

And I decorated 18 cupcakes. 16 kids in the class + 2 teachers. Aren't they just the cutest? I hope they enjoy them! I hope they sleep during nap time tomorrow!

Of course you'd do Elmos cupcake wrappers for your Elmo obsessed kid...just because you're a GREAT mom!!! They sure are cute. And Mack, hubba hubba! He's such a happy little guy at 6 months!!! What a cutie! I know what you mean about the weight - my first was a lot heavier each age than my second.

Aren't those Starbuck's Christmas ornaments/decorations great? I am considering asking them to sell them to me after the holidays! I wonder if they will go for that?

Happy 6 months sweet boy! 15.7 lbs! That is how much Liv is (she celebrates her half year on Christmas day).

Wow, it's hard to believe Mack is 6 months already! It does seem like yesterday that you brought him home from the hospital!

Can't wait to see what you got from your gift exchange, as well as the baby sweater you're working on!

The cupcakes look yummy!

Look how cute Mackie is! No matter what, you're a great mommy to have the cupcakes with Elmo liners (and Santa candies)!

Starbucks with no heat?!?!?! That's terrible! Glad you had fun anyway.

That little mack is so freakin' cute! My MIL told me about the knitting decorations at Starbucks although I have yet to spot the wreaths.

I love those Elmo cupcakes! Chloe is so into Elmo too, she would love them.

Mack is growing so fast! He may be a little thinner, but he looks just great. I hope his cough gets better soon.

No, we're not selling them off, but I know how to make them...I dismantled one kinda sorta accidentally...That's what happens when you have a knitter on staff who sits and fondles the yarn on the stuff.

Unfortuntately, we have to send them back to corporate after the holidays. Sucks, doesn't it?

so, if you want to know, let me know. I've totally figured them out!
