september seventeen :: 15 months old

Mack is 15 months old today.

Sean was a big boy today and walked right into his class. No crying. Crossing my fingers it stays like this and we've over come this glitch we hit in the mornings. After a year of daycare, he's certainly adjusted. So I don't understand what this crying was for, but I knew we'd overcome it. It just had to be overcome. Mack's drop off went pretty smoothly today as well. This put me in good spirits today.

I had a very productive day today. I knocked a lot of things off my to-do list. I'm a list maker, but still a procrastinator, so even though I'm a list maker, things don't always get done in good time. Today, I was on a roll, and I love it. I worked at home today and during the afternoon, I got a phone call from my dad that he was in my driveway about to deliver the anniversary present my parents bought for Jamie & I - though, it's for the kids. I was like "What??" And opened my garage door to check it out.

My parents bought the kids a swing set for my backyard. The kids are going to love it. My dad also picked up toddler swings since the boys aren't old/big enough for the original swings that it comes with (pictured above). My dad unloaded the pieces into my garage. Seems to be millions of pieces to put this thing together. There is a sandbox area, the tarp on top is reversible and UV protectant, there is an 8 ft Wave Slide, a combination rockwall/ladder (for rock climbing), a rope ladder, and a monkey bar on the end. Very freakin' cool. I don't think my dad noticed, but the instruction booklet says that it's a 2 man job, and will take 4-8 hours to put together. I guess Jamie will have fun with my dad installing the thing! I can't wait to see it put together. I still can't believe that Jamie agreed to get one in the first place. Apparently my dad cleared it by him, because I know that he didn't want one in our yard. I really am not sure how Jamie gave in, but that's another story. I can't wait to see the look on Sean's face.

I ran some errands this afternoon before picking up the boys from daycare. I picked up some chicken breasts for dinner, which Jamie ended up barbecuing. They were sooo good with the Montreal Chicken Spice, which is made by the same company that makes the Montreal Steak spice. I 150% recommend that you have these 2 jars of spices in your house. Just the best. And way less fattening than marinating your food in marinade that is full of sugar.

Sean spent the evening after dinner showing off that he can do somersaults. It's just soo cute. And he's really good at it too!

Mack's completely adjusted to daycare apparently. It's nice to see him not crying while there. They said that he had a really good day today. This makes me happy.

Jamie had baseball tonight, so I stayed in with the boys and got them to bed tonight. After they were in bed, I listened to the Habs game. We won 3-2 tonight, and the 2 goals were let in during the 3rd period by a goalie that we brought up to try. So it wasn't our main goalie that let them in, and it's only pre-season right now. The season doesn't start until around October 1st. Can't wait to see what this new season brings.

I can't believe it's almost October.

Like your little pumpkin picture. I'm still thinking about buying the camera. Can you tell me what the name of the shop was again? thanks!

*fingers crossed* Sounds like your idea to pick up Sean first is working. That is such a cool anniversary present. Wow.

Funny I have both the Montreal spices but we never use them. Actually they might be three or four years old so might be good that we don't use them.

Yoga sounds fun. I was doing some with a work thing at our gym in the building but they canceled that class for Zoomba. Yoga class was a nice size, but there are too many people for zoomba. I'll have to find something else.

I am SO ready for October. I put up a wreath on our house on 21 September but I'm not allowed to do anything else to 1 October. I want PUMPKINS! Like now!!!
