april seventeen

This guy makes me smile. We had a nice day together today, he wasn't that bad today. LOL. Yesterday he was a devil. Today, he was a sweet kid. I think it's because our cleaning lady was here and he follows her around like a puppy dog. He loves to watch her clean/use the broom/ and the vacuum cleaner. Oh, he loves the vacuum cleaner.

Though, last night, he didn't make me smile. I went to bed early last night (around 11:30pm), read a bit in my book, and then couldn't keep my eyes open. Though, even though I couldn't keep my eyes open, it took me a good 20-25 minutes to completely doze off. Just as I was dozing off... guess who woke up? Yes, you guessed it. Master Sean. Grrrr! He slept in our bed for a little bit before I transferred him back to his crib. The good news is - that he slept in until about 9:45 am, allowing me to sleep in this morning. Thank heavens Sean's swim class was on "spring break" this week, I so needed this catch up on sleep. I cannot recall the last time I have slept through the night. He's been waking a lot lately.

I spent most of the day doing work. Ah, the work that doesn't end. Today, in Robyn's Nest news, I've received and listed 22 sets of Ceramic Buttons. They're absolutely stunning! There are sheep ones and lady bug ones as well as stars and children buttons. They are just adorable and nice!

This evening I headed over to Ariadne. They have a lovely Stitch 'n Bitch every other Thursday. I have been before to their Stitch 'n Bitch, but not in a long time. Not only did I want to go to buy some Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Bulky (for Juliet), but I had some stuff to give people who were going to be there. Ariadne is pretty much the only yarn shop I'll go into these days here in Montreal. I love both MollyAnn and Mary, and well, frankly, they are very welcoming into their shop. Also, owning my own yarn shop doesn't really make me want to go to other yarn shops, since I can just pick out stuff from my shop when I need yarn for projects, or notions, and whatnot, but, I don't carry everything, and frankly, it's also fun to support my friends. I consider them my friends! I've known them since before they opened up a yarn shop, so I definitely want to support them. Anyhow, for those of you whom are out of towners who read my blog, you definitely should check out Ariadne (as top priority) when visiting Montreal. They have some pretty delicious stuff! Sean went to my parents house and I believe that the Habs lost tonight because Sean was NOT wearing his Habs jersey, even though he went there with it. I'm kinda upset they didn't put him in it!! I'm blaming it on that. BUT - the series is NOT over, and we will still kick out the Bruins out of the playoffs. I didn't watch the game tonight, but I know that we lost 5-1. It was probably for the best that I didn't watch it. Next game is on Saturday night, not sure if I will be able to get to hear it even on the radio, we'll be in Ottawa for dinner for Passover. We're going in with Jamie's dad and step-mom just for the afternoon/early evening.

The lovely ladies over at Ariadne let me swatch up some Lamb's Pride Bulky before purchasing. They needed a swatch anyhow, so it was great. I swatched twice, the first time on US 10.5, which was no good, I got a stiff 4 stitches per inch. I re-swatched and got 3.5 stitches per inch on US 11. YEY! The pattern calls for 3.5 stitches per inch. I'll be casting on Juliet as soon as I'm done the sweet baby cap (Which I'm in the middle of) and Judy's Grandmother's Baby Sweater, as well as Sean's Cabled Pullover - must finish knitting that. (So happy I have knitting time on the car drive this weekend!) This evening while at the yarn shop, I worked on the Sweet Baby Cap, after I was done swatching. I purchased a bunch of gorgeous M77 Blue Magic. I'll take a photograph tomorrow in daylight.

For my Canadian friends, you can print this above coupon, cut it out, and use it at any Harveys. All you have to do is purchase ANY (it does say any) Menu Item and you get a Free Angus until April 27th. The Angus is my FAVE Harvery's burger. I think I'll be getting one tomorrow for lunch, mmmm pregnancy craving!

Speaking of cravings, I've been craving (and filling that craving) Blue Slushies. Yes, odd, I know. I picked up one last night on my way home from the Montreal Knits Meeting. Last night, I bought a medium sized one, which had a "roll up the rim to win" type thing (like Tim Horton's is having right now). Anyhow, I won a free small sized slushie! So tonight, on my way home, I picked up another blue slushie! Oh, was it good. That's another reason why I love this time of the year... slushies! (You can't buy them in winter - it's too cold apparently).

I put Little Teethers on Sean's bottom gums tonight before he went to bed. His top molars have cut the gums already, and are growing out. His bottom gums where the molars are - are completely swollen. I'm hoping that with the Little Teethers and the bit of Tempra I gave him for the pain, he'll possibly sleep through the night tonight? That would be wonderful. Tomorrow morning we have music and then a few errands to do. I plan on taking Sean for a walk tomorrow in the wagon -as it's supposed to be 21°C tomorrow afternoon according to the Weather Network. I think he'll really enjoy the wagon. I just hope that I can pull him in it - being this pregnant. We'll see. I'll test it around our circle, and if that doesn't work out, then I'll change him over to the stroller for a walk. Wow, 21°C - that's great! I'm LOVING this weather. I love this time of the year. Capri pants, sneakers with no socks, and a t-shirt and sometimes a light sweater. I love spring & fall. I'm not a winter or summer person at all. Give me mild weather, and I'm happy!

Alright, off to go read some of my book and then crash. I'm good for a few Chapters before I will most definitely get heavy eyes. I also must make sure I leave EXTRA early tomorrow, I do not want to be late again for Sean's music class. No way! I have yet to show up on time. It's pathetic. Even last week when I left early, I was still late. Damn traffic. Tomorrow, I'm leaving an EXTRA 10 minutes earlier. That's the plan. So I must go hit the hay. It's late already.....

He's so cute! I'm glad you got to sleep in today/yesterday. It makes doing stuff today so much better!

Too cold for slushies? They clearly do not know about Winnipeg. For like 6 our more years running or something like (since the title's inception) that 7-11 has declared us the slurpee capital of the world selling the most slurpees. You are not a true Winnipeger until you make special trips out of the house in 40 below to buy a slurpee. Too cold for slurpees? Well I never!

MMM, burgers... I think a free burger might just be worth a trip north of the border...

Your blue slushie craving remind me of the movie Juno! And I've never been to Ariadne yet, but I'm really looking forward to my spinning workshop there on Sunday! I wonder if I'll be able to resist the wool fumes? Probably not.

lol. I thought the same thing that K though about Sean looking like a little jedi in this outfit! I'm a mild weather kind of gal also. Goodness, you can only get slushies in the warmer months?? I couldn't even imagine!
