*** Warning - Scout Swag Spoiler in this post - Read at your own risk if you're waiting for this in the mail. Warning over. ***

Last night Sean got up just as I was going to bed. So I changed his diaper, brought him into our bed, and then after 20 minutes of thinking he was fast asleep (I'm pretty sure he was), I brought him and placed him in his crib. He woke up right away. (GRR!) So I put on his Baby Einstein Classic Lullabies, and kissed him on the forehead, told him I loved him and that it was time to go back to sleep. He screamed for only about 5 minutes and then fell asleep. Woke up about 20-25 minutes later, screamed for a few (The lullabies were still playing) and then fell back asleep. He woke up sometime after 6:30 am this morning, which at that point, I took him out of his crib, that was an acceptable time for me to go into his room. I'm really going to do this ignoring thing. I have to. For my sanity.

Spring has sprung! There are some beautiful flowers (the only ones that have come out already) in my backyard. I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's a daffodil - does anyone beg to differ? Am I wrong? If so, what is it? According to Wikipedia, the real name is a Narcissus.

I received my first installment of the Scouts Swag 2008 Sock Club today in the mail. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I will wait to see how it knits up once people start using it on Ravelry, before making a decision whether I will keep it or not. We'll see if it goes up for DeStash or not. I'm not sure. I have to sleep on it. It's colorway is called Rowing Home, and it's 100% Superwash Merino.

Speaking of DeStash.... I have some sets of bamboo circulars that I'm destashing.

.....First come first serve!

Today my mom took Sean to his music class as I had a slip from UPS from yesterday, that they were going to re-attempt delivery today between 10:30 am and 2pm. So I stayed home to be here for them, UPS is a nuisance if you miss their delivery. Anyhow, it's 10:27pm right now, and they still have not shown up and I'm furious. I'm beyond furious. I stayed home all fucking day waiting for them, and nothing. The guy who shows up tomorrow, if I'm here (I have swimming in the morning for Sean), will be getting a mouthful. I called the 1-800 number on the slip at around 4:30pm and they told me that it was out for delivery and that the trucks deliver until 8pm. I just don't understand why they didn't show up today. An adult signature (above the age of 19) is required on the package (I'm not sure what the parcel is, I haven't the slightest clue), but I will leave the slip with my signature on it (I might be allowed to do it that way) with my cleaning lady tomorrow and tell her to accept the package with the slip with my signature if it should arrive while I'm out tomorrow morning at Sean's swimming class.Or to sign for it, since she's over 19 years of age. I wish I knew what the parcel was. I will call first thing in the morning to UPS to see what happened, before I leave for swimming. Swimming is at 9 am, I'm assuming that I can call as of 8 am. That seems like a reasonable time. I'll try anyhow. But I'm mad. Who do they think they are??

Today I did finally reach the fence guy, and he doesn't service my area anymore (as of 2 years ago. My parents used him 10 years ago in 1998 that's where I got his number from). Ok, onto the next plan. Lunch time I'm in the kitchen with Sean and I see my snow removal guy working in the garden next door. I run out my front door (barefoot too!) and hunt him down! He was like "Ya, ya, I was planning to call you back next..." (Yeah, right!) Anyhow, with me there he called his railing guy, who is going to come on Friday to give me a quote for a railing out front, and he called his fence guy who is coming tomorrow at 11 am to give me a quote for my backyard, and he had to leave, but said he'll be back to check out the tree/bush thing in my backyard that I want removed. (It's in the way). Also to talk to me about vegetable garden placement and all that jazz. I've got a million questions in regards to what to do to even start the ground, etc. And how to maintain it, will I have problems with animals in this area of town, do I need to cage it in? Lots of questions brewing...!

I got a lot accomplished around the house today, including laundry and business stuff/work as well. This evening Jamie made some hamburgers on the BBQ (homemade hamburgers from some leftover ground beef that we had extra from dinner on Monday night - I had unfroze too much). I heart BBQ!

This evening we watched the nasty Habs game. I really don't understand what the heck is going on, because we're getting more Shots on Goal than the other team, and we're not able to get it in the net.... It's still not over. The boys have 2 full days off, and they better get back into gear and get some rest, so that we can take them down in 7 games. We can still do this. I have some hope still! GO HABS GO!

I got a bit of knitting done tonight, and shortly I'll have more progress photos for you. I'm working on Judy's Grandmother's Baby Sweater right now, just loving the color! I promise some pictures shortly. I'm not really sure, but somehow I managed to get 146 projects in my queue on Ravelry. Wow.... I think I'll be knitting for the next 50 + years to get them all done! That's just insane! So many beautiful projects that I want to work on, and I still have way too many projects on the needles.... (working through those first of course).... and there are always great patterns coming out that I totally want to make as well.

Tonight is your LAST CHANCE to order a May Sock Club Kit. I'm taking the listing down tomorrow at some point after I return home from swimming class, so get it while you still can if you haven't yet!! It's going to be an awesome kit! Handpainted yarn from Vancalcar Farms & A pattern from Adrienne. Stitch markers made by Robyn's Nest and a bunch of surprises as well!

Sean fell asleep on me again tonight on the couch. Jamie picked him off of me, and as he was leaving the den to bring him to his crib, Sean woke up. SCREAMING. He didn't want to go upstairs, he wanted to be with me. (He's been rather clingy lately - past 2 days). Anyhow, I told Jamie to take him upstairs, put him in his crib, and put on the lullaby music. Jamie wasn't too happy about this, telling me I don't make any sense, that the kid is just going to scream his lungs off. I told him to go put Sean in his crib. I was hot and sticky and didn't want a sweating kid on me anymore, as much as I love him. And what do you know it? I was right. Not even within 3 minutes, Sean was fast asleep (the lullaby music is still going as I type now). Maybe I don't make any sense for the reasoning behind why I do things the way I do - but I know my son better than anyone else in this world (including Sean's own father). I spend the most time with him, and I just know him the most/best. That's just the way it is. I knew that if Jamie were to put him in his crib, with the music, that he'd fall asleep. Plain & simple. And it worked out that way. Thank goodness! Who knows what time he'll wake up at though.

I'm going to go knit a few more rows on the sweater so that I can get to 3 inches on the part I'm on (so tomorrow I can start the neck shaping) and then go into bed and read a bit more in the book I'm currently reading.

So, it is the "other team"??? Too upset to mention that the team is the FLYERS? I can understand that you are upset we won the last. Just ONE more game to go (for us).

I am sorry to hear about UPS. They are awful here too.

Good luck with your garden. I wish I had some land to plant a garden. miss ya!! love lauren

Love that pretty flower. I haven't a clue what it other then beautiful. And the scouts swag is quite pretty too. I have some of her yarn but I can't say I felt very impressed when it arrived.

I KNOW! I feel the same way about Jakob. On Saturday I told Y to put him to bed for his nap at 2pm. He put him down at 2:40 because he was looking for signs of fatigue. I didn't ask him to look for signs- I know my kid. If you give him a bottle and put him down, he'll be asleep in 5. Sigh.

p.s. if you want to destash that Scout's Swag- let me know!

I hate when someone sends me something I have to sign for. What a pain. I've sat around waiting for UPS before too and it's not fun.

These remind me of your "clog" campaign. Too bad they don't come in bigger sizes!
