december thirteen

Today I chased after Sean's nose all day. He constantly needed to have it cleaned. Major full blown cold. Poor guy! It's too bad, because otherwise he seems to feel fine. I've never seen so much liquid drip from him before! We're keeping him home most of the weekend, so that he can relax and feel better soon.

Today was a relaxing chill day on the couch. Got some knitting done and Jamie & I tried our hardest to watch the movie Step Brothers with Will Ferrel and John C. Reilly but we just couldn't get past the 1 hour mark. (And it's only 1 hour 45 minutes). It just kept getting worse and worse and worse. We tried though.

This evening Jamie & I went to the Habs game. We lost 2-1 to the Washington Capitals. Jamie's best friend & his girlfriend babysat for us and the boys were really well behaved.

I worked on my Go Habs Go sock while at the Habs game. (Yey! Some knitting I can show you!) I was able to do a full blue, red and white repeat, and the start of a new blue section. I'm ONLY working on it at Habs games.... and I only took it out of my purse at the first intermission since we ate dinner during the first period. I am pretty happy with my progress, though pissed off the Habs lost tonight. Half the team is out sick or injured. Even my "boyfriend" Koivu was out tonight. Awww. I wanted to see him play.

I'm having so many problems with my car right now. And there really shouldn't be any issues at all. Before the game, I was supposed to bring my mom's car back to their house. They just got home from Jamaica as we were leaving to the game. My mom needs her car tomorrow, so I went to go start my car which was blocking in my mother's car in my garage. Of course, it hates me for leaving it outside in the freezing cold, and it wouldn't start. So, I had to boost it from Jamie's car after the game tonight. I think it's going to need another boost in the morning, that's for sure. I really hope that I don't need to get a new battery. Already it spent the entire week at Acura, and the alarm/car starter is still acting really funny. I just want to scream at it. And driving my mom's car this past week, I think I'm going to take it after my lease is up on mine in October. I think I really like it. And it's certainly spacious for the 2 boys, and I don't have to worry about trunk space. I have 7 seats if I need the extra in the back. It fits in my garage (we tested it out!) though it's kind of tight, but that's okay. I think I'm sold. And if I want my standard driving fix, Jamie's car is standard. But my mom's car just makes a lot of sense, and will make sense in the long run with 2 boys and hockey practice and baseball in the summer, and who knows what else. Soccer? Football? Oh, you name it...!

You've had the Acura for a while and it definitely sounds like you need a new battery. If you don't want to leave the house, CAA will come out and replace it for you. AAA recently replaced mine and it was only about $20 more than buying a battery and installing it myself. Good luck!

Got to think of the Hockey equipment :)

I know the feeling about the car, my next car definitely will NOT be 2 doors!!! I am thinking a 4x4 too!

Car trouble does suck! I bought a lemon myself (a 2005 Dodge Caravan) and have had NOTHING but trouble with it (I will never buy another Dodge). I have no payments though so I am hoping to hold out at least a year or two and then I am getting a Volvo CX90 (seven seater too).... I think you will really like your Mom's car. I like the hot chocolate idea too - so crafty!

Somehow when you were naming off things for the boys there were no arts nad crafts things.

No no no- no running around after sports yet- they're still BABIES! I can't think of them being all grown up and running around doing sports yet!

That sucks about the car. I miss mine. My husband changed jobs (we have only the one) and he was on the road as a truck driver so I had the car all the time. Now he takes it everyday to work and I don't have one. Booo!!
Definantly thinking about those crossover type vehicals for the next one though. :-)
About that movie step-brother's..good to know. I felt that with Blades of Glory as well, I just could not sit through that movie.
