Nothing Day

Today was a real nothing day. I feel like I've done nothing all weekend. I was supposed to babysit on Saturday night for my dad's best friend, but his daughter got pneumonia, and I didn't want to take the chance of getting sick, so I didn't babysit.

I've been watching Season 3 of Las Vegas, and it turns out I've seen a lot more than I think I have, which is odd, because I swear I only saw the beginning of the season before neglecting it, but I'm at Episode 19 and so far, I've seen them all. Only 23 episodes in the season. (I know for sure I missed the season finale, but I wonder how many others I didn't see??)

This afternoon Jamie helped my dad out with some shelf building for my parents newly renovated garage (my parents had their garage painted and the floor in there tiled - I've never heard of tiled garages before, but apparently, it's the "new" thing). I watched a little TV with my mother, and took a little nap on their couch. Knitted a lot on Jamie's birthday scarf.

We went out for dinner, to this steakhouse near my parents place, dinner was good. I always end up eating ribs at this steakhouse, which are fantastic.

Tonight I started researching purse patterns for my step-mother-in-law's birthday present, but I cannot find anything that I like. I think I am going to have to invent my own pattern and come up with something that I think she will like. But, I am going to finish knitting Jamie's birthday scarf first, before I start on my mother-in-law's purse.

We're already 11 of us signed up for my Holiday Stitch Marker Swap. (In no way does it have to be Xmas themed or anything, because who knows what holidays people celebrate - I will make sure that participants know that when I email them the partners)... I'm just calling it the "holiday" stitch marker swap, because it's a fun thing to do for the "holidays".
