August 11 of 31

It's official, Sean can fully pull himself up into 100% of a standing position. I honestly can tell you that I haven't the slightest idea how he learned how to do that, and how, after just a day or two of knowning how to pull himself into a full sitting position, can he now stand. I'm shocked that his chubby thighs cannot hold himself up steadily yet, but I am telling you - by 9 months - this kid WILL walk. I don't have any doubts about it. He wants to walk, he just needs to figure out how to do it on his own. My little ninja is growing up.

This afternoon he completely dumped out his toy basket that we keep in our den, and decided that he wanted to go into the toy bucket. Funny kid...

And today he tried Arrowroots for the first time. He still has no teeth, but the box says it's for any baby that is ready for solids, and he's been on solids since he was 4 and a half months old, so with supervision, he was given his first Arrowroot cookie...

Yeah, it was gone in seconds almost! He devoured it. And it's a gross mess, because of the way the cookie turns as soon as saliva hits it. What a mess! But that's okay. I will now carry around these cookies in his diaper bag, he just loved it!

Yep, there is progress on my Turtleneck Shrug. I am absolutely LOVING the color. I will take a better color photo tomorrow in daylight. I am LOVING this project. Such an easy and fun knit. Not too boring either. I think it's becuase I love the three shades of pink that are blended in together. Houston.... we almost have a sleeve!

Jamie & I watched the movie The Number 23 with Jim Carrey tonight. What a waste of an hour and 41 minutes. Just when you think it may get good, and there might be a good plot, it gets worse. I should have listened to Andrea and not watched it!!

i'm laughing at those pics, my girls do the same thing, I have those baskets too and they would rather run around wearing the basket than play with the toys inside :)What yarn are you using for the shrug, it's really pretty

They say the 1st baby does things quicker motorskill wise.. except walking in a lot of cases... because you can devote so much time to them... I never thought this was true until I had Taite! Taite still doesnt sit up well. He can but not long.
ahh well no hurry ;-)

I'm becoming a fan of pink now and lime, that's a nice shade of pink!!

I missed you while I was in Illinois, time to go catch up on your blog. :-)

Yeah, Shawn went and grabbed another copy so we could watch the end. I had a feeling that would be the ending. And Jim Carrey wasn't really that serious in the movie. Still had some of this humour going there. Oh well.

And a yarn club? Oh so tempting. But, I'm very adamant about saving for the STR 2008.
