Who pre-orders a book FIVE and a half years early??????

Watching Sunday night's episode of Big Love, I fell in love with the song that Rhonda sings at the end while on TV called Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A. Originally song is by Donna Fargo. However, I do not like the version of the original song. On Big Love Rhonda sings it soo much nicer. I have the .avi of the episode, I downloaded it, so now I'm trying to figure out - how do I transfer just the song from the .avi and record it as an .mp3? I am downloading a software right now, that is supposed to do things like that - so we'll see how that works out.

This afternoon I was bored, and since Jamie had to go into work today because his co-worker is on vacation and there needs to be someone in the office (Jamie usually works from home on Fridays) I went off to Walmart to pick up some items we needed. Got a bathtub organizer for Sean's toys, but the damn suction cups won't stick to our walls - so that is getting returned the next time I get back to Walmart. I picked up a ton of baby food for Sean, (I gave up on the idea of making my own - way too complicated to start doing now) and it's just easier to buy jarred food. I found a bunch of meat ones that he hasn't tried yet, as I want to give him stuff with more substance than peas or pears or sweet potato for dinner. He'll be trying Chicken mixes and beef mixes and turkey mixed (with vegetables and pasta puree, no idea which one goes with which, but I'll let you know as he tries it). I also picked up some more fruits for him, he likes the blueberries and strawberries and he'll get to try peaches for dessert (though he's tried the puree of peaches, this is made more like a jam if you want to call it that - as a dessert instead of a puree). I found some fancy tank tops that I like, so I have to try them on. I also picked up some nice pants, but unfortunately they don't fit. I think my post-pregnancy belly doesn't like zippers. (Oh well, it's going to be a while before I get out of my maternity pants - but you know what? I don't mind. It's not the end of the world.) I'm just disappointed I didn't fit into these gorgeous pants.

Tonight I was looking for something that I knew may be in my crawl space, so I re-organized a lot in there, and didn't find what I was looking for, but I am very impressed on how clean it currently is in there. I can actually find things in there. And found yarn that I didn't know was in there, stashed away. Yarn that I don't know if I will ever use, but nevertheless, not sure what I will do with it.

I also grouted the bathroom upstairs in the apartment we rent out. The first of the 4 tenants is coming on Thursday, so it needed to get done. I was procrastinating, I don't know why. It looks 400 times better in there now than it did before. I still have some touch ups to do in spots where the grout didn't take - but you know what??? I actually like (enjoy) grouting. I won't ever do this professionally, but I don't mind doing it. It's actually a little bit of fun. I need to finish one bathtub wall in my bathroom, as well as eventually the other walls out of the bathtub area to eventually re-grout, but I am going to start with the tub wall that still needs to be done in my bathroom. Then, also on my list, is to sand the stairs going to our basement and varnish them.

Jamie is taking me out of town for our 2 year wedding anniversary. I've decided on the place (up north) but I will book before telling you where we will be going (just incase it's booked - which I highly doubt, but I don't want to jinx anything). Sean will be spending one night at my parents house on a Saturday - Sunday around our actual anniversary. Very excited to get away. Let's just say it's spa and I will be needing a massage!

Due to popular demand, I've added the Knitting Earrings to my shop. Check them out & order them here. A great way to accessorize while knitting!

Tomorrow we're off to a BBQ bash about an hour away from our place at the Captain of Jamie's softball team's house. I am looking forward to it - it'll be a lot of fun. I hope the weather is nice. At least Jamie's driving (I have no idea how to get to Bromont), so I'll get 1 hour of knitting in the car each way. Hopefully Sean will sleep in the car.

Speaking of Sean sleeping - tonight was a LOT easier to get him to sleep. We've started a routine. I also started to get him to sleep a lot earlier than before. It used to be 11:30pm or later, when he'd start rubbing his eyes that he's tired. NO MORE. Tonight, I put him down to bed at 10:30. Tomorrow night, hopefully we'll try at 10pm. And bring it down to 9-9:30. I just don't want to have him get up at 5 am, so I don't want him to go to bed too early. Our new routine at bedtime is have a bottle (or finish what's left of one he started not too long before, cuddle with mommy for a few minutes, and then he gets put into his bed, groggy & rubbing his eyes, on his back, head elevated by a pillow, all tucked in. Pacifier in mouth, and Baby Einstein Lullaby Classics playing on his CD player. So far, two nights in a row, this has proven to work. I'm totally okay with this. Crossing my fingers he sleeps through the night.

Robyn - I would LOVE to meet up for Rhinebeck. I used to live up there, and we'll be heading down from Catskill. Email me, and I'm sure we can work out the details, as this is my first time for Rhinebeck.

I'm so glad you are having an easier time getting Sean to sleep the past couple of nights. I hope it continues for you!

As for the suction cups, a little trick my mom taught me is to rub a little bit of oil (like the liquid Crisco) on the suction cup and it helps it stay on. It works pretty good, though there are times it still comes off, but we just rub a bit of oil around it again and stick it back up.

For real? Ordering a book 5 years early? Is it even written yet??

If you feel like more grouting, I just had a small bit of the grout in my bathtub fall off while I was scrubbing it.
I'll probably run to Reno during the week, but have never done any grouting before.
Glad Sean's sleeping better.
If you want some great recipes for making his food, let me know, I have a bunch of recipes from when my daughter was eating mush.

Wow I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one frustrated with Amazon about it take months and months to ship that Ann Budd book to me. I ordered it in March or so and canceled it after way too many months of delays. I ended up ordering my copy from Knitpicks with my yarn order and it came within two weeks or so. I hit the book sale they had recently, so it was much cheaper than Amazon as well. I'm not sure if that is the case now, but you should go check it out. Good luck getting your copy!

As for pre-ordering a book that comes out in 2012, that's really strange. I won't even order the last book in Melanie Rawn's Exile series till it's at least written and ready to be printed and I've been waiting about ten years for the last book in the trilogy to come out. *sigh*
