This morning we had Mack's friend Jordan's 1st birthday. It's one of his first real friends to turn 1. (Mack has had some acquaintances turn 1, but not really his friends). This is the first real birthday party we've been invited to! Above is Mack with Jordan.
Since it was in a gym I asked Jamie to come along so that I could bring Sean as well. I cannot do both kids alone. If Mack were walking, then maybe, but he's not yet and it's super hard. We were all invited anyhow, so it was nice that we were all able to attend.
It's been a while since we have had someone take a familyshot for us, but of course, how do you get a 2 year old to look at the camera? It's simply impossible. Maybe we'll have to go the 4 of us to the studio where I did the boys last week, and get her to do a nice family shot. I'll have to book an appointment.
In any case, my friend tried to snap a nice shot of us.... I think it still came out nice, despite the fact that Sean refused to look at th camera!
This afternoon we managed to get both boys to nap at the same time, though it took a while to get Sean to actually fall asleep. Sometimes it's no issue at all, and sometimes, it's super hard as heck. I guess it all depends on his mood and how tired he is, and what's going on around him in the house. We obviously try to make nap time as quiet and calm as possible, but sometimes he's just too excited or too worked up... and then falling asleep takes quite some work.
This evening we had dinner over at my parents house, as usual. My dad's parents joined us for dinner, which was nice, we rarely get to see them. All Sean wanted to do was to "play games with Uncle Corey". He's obsessed with my brother these days. It's really cute. By games, Sean means the Wii. Uncle Corey has been teaching him to how bowl. It's funny. My brother once told me that the only way he'll babysit is if Sean's potty trained and knows how to play video games. Well, we're one step there.... with the video games! LOL.
Off to go plop my buttox on the couch, knit, and watch Desperate Housewives. It's all new! I cannot wait to see what Wisteria Lane has in store for us tonight.

Yay for napping at the same time. My 2yo refused to nap today. ARrrrggghhhh!
im insulted, i dont exist when uncle corey is around lol!
he is too funny!
poor uncle corey can't even finish dinner!!!!
cute family shot lol...u need someone with a puppet of Elmo to get Sean to look in the direction of the camera!!! u should definitely get a family picture done at Walmart!
aww, it is a good family shot aside from sean not looking @ the camera!
You guys do look nice in the photos. I think that Sean not looking at the camera is just realistic. He's two so no one is expecting he'll always cooperate.
I miss nap time! Émilie doesn't nap anymore, but since Maxime still does we still have to stick around the house. A few more years and we'll be done!
