january twenty-two: 16 weeks pregnant: take two

So, today was my Ultra Sound! Turns out I'm 16 weeks pregnant today (I'm not going to post another picture, I just did one yesterday), but Tuesday is my new weekly change 0ver date. I'm now due Tuesday, July 8th, 2008 (3 days off from what I thought was my original due date of July 11th, 2008). I thought so...! My doctor was sooooo wrong! So... I go back in 4 weeks to re-do some more Ultra Sound... because there are some things that can only be checked after 19 weeks, so I'll be going back at 20 weeks pregnant, and we'll get to see the baby again! What you are looking at above is the baby looking at us, with part of the upper torso.... to me it's a little "alien like" if you ask me.... Hopefully there will be clearer images in 4 weeks from now!

So I guess you want to know the sex?? We were debating whether to tell people or not. But we'll share it with you.

We're having.....

a..............

......another boy!!!!

Sean will have a buddy to play hockey with!

This baby has no name. And I swear, it'll be born without a name. Jamie and I cannot agree on a boy's name. (And we're saving our girl name for baby number 3.... yep, we'll be trying (one day in the long future) for a girl. I want my girl. I still want my girl. Jamie says it'll be up for discussion in 3 years. I wonder if that's 3 years from now, or 3 years from when baby number 2 is born! LOL

I have a name that I'm kinda set on... and Jamie hasn't 100% ruled it out - but right now nothing has been agreed upon, and it's really hard! But in any case, once we choose our boys name, that one thing we'll be keeping a secret until the baby is born. We want something to ourselves until then.... especially since we are sharing the sex! No one will find out the baby's name until he's born. Not one single person. That includes immediate family! But that doesn't really matter right now, because there is no name!

The baby has 10 fingers & 10 toes, and we're really happy. We were given 1 fuzzy picture and 1 picture that is a little clearer (above).... The technician said it'll be easier to get better photos when we come back in 4 weeks. I am so excited to be able to do a 2nd Ultra Sound. Last time we only got the one at 19 weeks, (Besides the expensive one we paid for at UCbaby for the 3d Ultrasound).

Good things about having another boy. We don't have to paint the nursery, it's already blue. We have all boys stuff, from Sean. Yes, I know, I had my heart set on pink, but there's always next time. Or I'll have to have some nieces... that's all! LOL. Oh, and boys love their mommy. It's proven fact. Girls' are daddy's girls... Boys belong to their mommy!

Wow.... it's a boy! I had a hunch it was by the way I'm carrying....! It's all in the same area that I was carrying with Sean.

Michelle gave me an Award today. The rules tell me to pass it on: “Give the award to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blogland. Let them know by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. Beware you may get the award several times.” I am too tired to do this meme tonight, but check back tomorrow for my list! Tomorrow, I promise!

Have you seen James Blunt on Sesame Street? It's so cute. I can't seem to figure out when that episode was on the air, James Blunt's IMDB profile doesn't show it - that I can see - and I haven't wached all the Sesame Streets that we've got on our PVR for Sean.... getting through them slowly. Sean really likes that show!

I did knit some rows on Sean's blankie. I'm hoping to get it done as soon as possible. I have another blankie to start making!! (Sadly with no pink! Next time!)

ps- those who left comments that it's a boy - I will put your names shortly into a hat and draw a winner for a fabulous prize!

pps- Sean slept 8:45 pm until 6 am this morning. So happy! And he's been in bed since just shortly after 9 pm tonight, here's to hoping for another full night's sleep!

My back is aching so badly. I'm off to sleep myself now. I know it's early, but we have another big day tomorrow. 2 classes and a movie! More about that tomorrow.

Wow are our due dates ever close together!

Congratulations! I know you were yearning for pink but you do make adorable little boys! As you said, next time.

Glad you are getting u/s number two as well. Despite the full bladder thing they are always so exciting.

Yay, another boy! I know it's fun to have one of each, but I think it's also great to have 2 of the same sex so close together because they will probably grow up really close! Sean probably wouldn't have quite as close a relationship with a sister when he got a little older, at least that's the way it worked for me and my 2 brothers...I get along with them fine now but I hated them when I was growing up! Haha! And like you said, you have plenty of time to try for a 3rd! Glad he's healthy! (and June is OBSESSED with Sesame Street! It's pretty much the only show she's allowed to watch and we record them for her every day too :)

Yay! Boys are good, but we'll all hope for pink for you next time!

Congrats:) And I guess the revised due date gives me a bit more leeway for not having to visit you in the hospital in June (which by the way I would totally do too, lol).

Awwee, congrats on the lil boy! I know the feeling, when I found out it was another girl. I left my appt. feeling a little disappointed because I wanted a little man. I was going to consider getting my tubes tied or something if it was male, but now I don't want to shut the door, so I think I wait. Who knows, I may want another in a few years from now. :-)

Congraulations!!

If you're really stuck on a name, you can always do what a friend of a friend's parents did. They let him pick his own middle name when he was 3.

I don't remember what his first name was, cause everyone called him by his middle name - Snuggles.

Congratulations! And stick to your boy name and wear Jamie down until he gives up. You can do it! Very cute ultrasound - I always thought my girls looked a wee bit alien in theirs as well.

I thought for sure you were having a girl! But another boy, that's great too! Sean will have so much fun with him. And if he's as cute as his big brother, expect a lot of girls coming by your house in 15 years!

How exciting! Congrats on another boy! You make me laugh working the angles - 3 years from now, or 3 years from when this baby is born? You should have been a lawyer (or a tax accountant, LOL) - I recognize the thought process well.

Congrats, Robyn! Very exciting news. :)

I was hoping for a girl for you 'cuz I know you wanted one, BUT - healthy and 10 fingers and 10 toes are all that really matter. Sean's a cutie, I have no doubt this little boy will be, too - and you're already a PRO with boys, LOL!

CONGRATS!!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!!! And congrats on the your pregnancy too!! We are actually pretty close together! I am 21 weeks pregnant right now - they SAY I'm due on June 4th, but the Dr. I saw on Monday said I was a little small, so he said the dates might be wrong - so I'll have to wait until my ultrasound in 3 (LONG!) weeks to find out. And yes, we are going to find out if we're having a boy or girl too. :) We have 1 boy already, like you...hubby thinks this is a girl, I think it's a boy - one of us will be right! haha :)

hurray for another boy! It does make it easier as far as "stuff" is concerned. Besides now the girl you'll have in a few years will have TWO protectors.

I didn't realize our due dates were so close...mine is August 8th!

Congrats on another boy! I can only imagine you in a while, the only girl, living with these 3 boys who love and ador you!!! It'll be fun! :)

Congratulations, Mamasita!! I'm so happy for you all. Sean will be a great big brother I bet. Oh, that makes me think I'll have to make a special pair of sockies for the new baby - love making the little things.

Gee, wonder if I should make them in Habs colors or Minnesota Wild colors? Just kidding...I'll do all at once. Ha ha.

Anyway, I'm very happy for you and I wish you the very, very best. :-)

Congratulations! After the disaster of telling people what we were going to name our first before she was born and having people make nasty comments about the name, we didn't tell anyone the names for our other kids until it was final and they were born. It is hard not to tell though, isn't it?
