april twenty-six

This morning Jamie & I both slept in a little while Sean terrorized our bedroom. We closed the closet door and the bathroom door, as well as the bedroom door, and moved anything that he could reach that we didn't want him to touch, gave him some toys, and his bottle of milk, and Nickelodeon Jr on TV and he was set. Once the bottle was done though, he was up to mischief. Pulled things out of drawers, dumped the laundry basket... oh, you name it. But the clean-up afterwards was well worth the sleep-in! Even though I slept in only with 1 eye closed.

We got up and headed over to Costco. Had a bunch of things we needed to re-stock for the house. We were lucky and got a parking spot right away, however the parking lot was a zoo. Inside Costco was even worse. It was a madhouse. We got what we needed and luckily zipped through the check-out. We luckily stood in the right line. We had lunch at Costco, and sat around for a bit people watching. (Something Jamie & I love to do). Sean fell asleep on the way home a block away from the house - typical!) We unloaded the car, and Jamie decided that I should transfer Sean to his crib, instead of leaving him to sleep in the car seat in the car. So I tried to transfer him. Yeah right. He woke up. And of course wasn't interested in coming inside and helping me do a few things that I had to do around the house. He wanted to go outside and help daddy. That required me to go outside as well, seeing as though Jamie was busy working in the front yard and couldn't watch Sean from running into the street or getting into trouble. Sean stood by the door and pointed to it, and cried until I put his shoes on and took him outside.

So he helped his daddy clean up the front yard. (It looks four hundred times better now out in front!)

And I got to knit a few rows this afternoon on Judy's Grandmother's Baby Sweater which I'm making for Mackenzie, while my boys cleaned up the yard. Jamie raked, Sean swept. It was cute.

Once we came inside I planted my seeds for my garden that needed to be done 4-5 weeks before planting. I plan on gardening the long weekend in May (Victoria Day Weekend), which looks to be the weekend May 17-18th. Victoria Day this year is May 19th. So today, I planted 2 types of lettuce, broccoli, cucumber, zucchini, cantaloupe, watermelon, pumpkins for Sean & Mackenzie for Halloween (this is just an experiment!), sunflowers in 2 sizes for my flower garden, onions, shallots, carrots, and I'm sure I'm missing something, but I can't recall this moment. I also planted in larger pots my tomatoes and green peppers that were already sprouted and growing into larger pots with some more soil, etc... hoping that I can salvage those almost dead ones, (oops!) but I still have some strong ones growing, so I'm hoping to of learned my first gardening lesson. I really hope my garden works out this summer, it would be fantastic to not have to buy a single vegetable the entire summer! We'll see if I can make that happen!

Jamie showed me this song online on MySpace. It's done by a singer whom he went to high school with. If you click on the picture above, it links you to the video someone made on Youtube for that song, or if you click here, you can view the MySpace page for the singer. Yes, the Habs lost this evening to the Flyers, but that doesn't mean anything. It's only game 2, and we won game 1!

Tomorrow I'm going with the ladies in my family to take Sean to the Superdogs show tomorrow at the Bell Center. I am not so sure Sean will be able to sit through the entire show, but we'll see what will happen.

cool song - makes me look forward to monday's game, although hubby is rooting for dallas i guess (his favorite goalie of all time is in the organization there, and since his caps are out, he's switched gears), so it'll be a fight if both games are on at the same time lol

can't wait to see the green sweater!!
