26th Birthday Report

I had a really nice birthday. Jamie & Sean both got me a card. Jamie went out and picked up my fave for breakfast (bagels & lox & cream cheese) and we ate a nice breakfast together, after I took a morning nap with Sean (after his morning feeding). Sean ate pears with us while we ate bagels, and he is really liking those pears.

These are a really cool pair of sandals that I took out to wear today. They are special occasion sandals, since they kill if you wear them walking or what not. But since I only went to the ball park to watch Jamie play today (after running an errand to pick up Jamie's dad's father's day gift), I decided to wear them. I love the flower that goes on your big toe!

Sean had a good time today at the ball park. Here, he's sitting in my camping chair. (Yes, it has that Canadian flag on it!) Jamie's team got slaughtered today, but Jamie hit a nice ball today, and his best friend Danny hit a home run! It was awesome. I sat out in the sun too long, and the tan I got last week is now fried tomato red. OUCH! Hopefully it will turn into a tan again.

The weather held out today. They were calling for rain, but it didn't. Jamie was hoping it would rain so that we wouldn't have to worry about getting home to water our backyard, but it didn't rain, so now he's got to stay up until 1:30 am to turn off the sprinklers. You see, the pipe going to the backyard tap is broken, so he has to put the sprinkler attatched to the tap in the garage... and in that case we have to leave the garage door open, (while we're home of course) while it sprinkles the lawn. The pipe should be fixed ASAP, but until then, we have to make sure we don't forget about the lawn, so it doesn't get over watered, and the garage door doesn't stay open all night. Thank goodness the garage door is not in front of the house.

Today I put Sean in an outfit I got as a gift from someone whom participated in my stitch marker swap. It's a 6-9 month outfit, and he fits perfectly in it now. He's 2 weeks shy of 6 months. The shirt was a little big, but just too darn cute. I had to put him in it! Tomorrow, I've got an adorable outfit that my mother got him, to put him in for Father's Day dinner at my parents house.

Soon, I will post the pictures that my Father-in-Law took tonight at the BBQ bash. I figured I'd get the photos from him asap (like tonight via sharing folder on MSN), but it turns out that his memory card reader is busted and can't get the photos on his computer until he gets a new reader. So, that's why I didn't take any photos this evening, I was counting on my FIL's photos! He's always with a camera... plus, I drank WAY too much Beaujolais Village tonight (one of my fave wines ever) and shouldn't have been in operation of a camera. Whenever my step-brother-in-law (whom I stayed with last weekend) and my step-uncle-in-law are together and throw a party, there is always CASES of wine involved...! And it seems to always be a fave wine of mine. Last year I was pregnant and couldn't enjoy wine, but this year... I drank like a fish! Mmmm! Delicious. I'm totally coherant.... but under the influence, that's for sure! I love red wine!

(Today while out, I picked up 3 bottles of red wine for Jamie & I to enjoy in the next week to a) celebrate my birthday and to b) celebrate 5 years together (June 25th) and c) to celebrate the new love in our life, Sean. We are so lucky to have such a great child, who sleeps through the night, barely fusses, and usually only cries or gets cranky when he's a) hungry or b) over tired.

Can't ask for anything better or more!

I keep asking Sean if he's sooooooooo good, because he knows that his future sibling (no I'm not currently pregnant, or I wouldn't be drinking wine!) is going to be such a devil, and not sleep through the night and be the total opposite of him. So, for now, I'll be enjoying Sean's greatness, because really, we're really lucky to have him in our life, so, cheers to him!

Today was a really laid back, chilled out day. Exactly what I wanted for my birthday. And due to some monetary birthday gifts, some yarn purchasing could have been involved. I'll let you know tomorrow!

Not Buying It Report:
Money Spent:

Unremembered $ on wine at the local SAQ (Societe Alchohol du Quebec)
$ on father's day gift for my FIL (Can't let him know amount!)
And a bid on some BIRTHDAY $ yarn (allowed!) LOL (yeah, ebay!)

ps- Thank you to ALL those who have commented or emailed me or called me to wish me a happy birthday! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Updated: (Photos from Father-in-Law)

Jamie & I on my 26th birthday.

Sean & I on my 26th birthday. My first birthday as a mommy! He was such a good boy all day!

Sean's first time sitting on grass, and pulling on it, because he wanted to try to eat it. (Didn't succeed of course!)

I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful birthday and I wish you many more to come!

Someone once told me that God always sends the best baby first because if he didn't you'd never have more. So watch out for that next one. LOL

I think Caleb was around 7 months.. I may be wrong.. before he started a sippy. He was off the bottle by 10 months he took to it so well. And his pacifier was done-zo! by a year.
