Father's Day

It was really nice to sleep in this morning with Sean after his morning feeding. It was just nice for all three of us to cuddle together. Gosh, I love Sundays! This afternoon, while Sean slept on his daddy and I folded Sean's never ending laundry, we watched the movie Freedom Writers. It was really really surprisingly good.

Sean the stud got a bath before we left to my parents house for Father's Day dinner. He positioned himself like this and it was 100% picture worthy, don't you agree? I think this has to be my ALL TIME fave photo of Sean right now. It's just tooooo darn cute.

My father & sister thought it would be funny to take a pretend picture of Sean drinking a beer. He made a face at it after my dad let a tiny drop touch his mouth. I hope he doesn't drink beer until he's legally allowed at 18 years old, but who knows what kids do behind their parents backs (I remember being a teenager once!)

My mom had a birthday cake/father's day cake all in one. It was ice cream. Sean, however was mesmerized by the flame on the candle.

I couldn't believe it, he was just staring. And was confused when I blew out the candle. (After making a wish of course!) Oh, I can't wait for his first birthday, even though I don't want him to grow up too fast, lol. I can't have it both ways, eh?

Alright, I'm going to go crawl into bed and read some more in Knitting Under the Influence. I'm halfway through the almost 400 page book. I have a pile of things to read next, so I'm trying to get as much reading done as possible, when I have the time!

Tomorrow on tap.... I've got my sister babysitting Sean since I've got my last post-natal aqua class. Hopefully it will re-start up again in the fall, but I don't know yet if it will. I have some laundry to do (when do I not?) and some house chores to take care of (like finishing the steam cleaning in my bathtub - I finally borrowed the machine back from my parents). Tuesday I've got the "shop at home" guy coming to show me samples for new blinds for my den and dinning room. Those hideous pink curtains from the 70's in my den must go! I need something functional!

Happy belated birthday!!!

As for Freedom Writers, I was extremely dissapointed in the movie. I read the book a long time ago, and have it on my shelf. They left out so many HUGE milestones and things that the group did that got them to where they were. Blah...but off that..

Sean is just getting cuter by the second!

That is TOTALLY a Sean hottub shot. Can you imagine that? 20-something years from now?
My mom has a picture of me making little devil horns on my head with my fingers in the bathtub when I was about 4. At my wedding, the photographer snapped a picture of me doing the same thing - now, hubby and mom have the 2 pictures side by side. They think it's endlessly funny. I'm not so sure.
I have a feeling that you'll have a similar set of Sean the Stud at some point!!!
