What are Diced Ham Cookies? Seriously? Do they really exist? It sounds really disgusting. The pink wrapper makes it look appealing, however.

Why can't I ever find a ruler when I need one? I can't find a single ruler in this house. And I even think I own some. Maybe they got left behind? We did leave some junk in the old house. But I doubt that. Where are they? Ruler, ruler, come out wherever you are! I just want to make some straight lines!

Sean is sick. I'm hoping it passes. He's got a very runny nose and a little bit of a cough. Last time he was sick it lasted only about 2 days. There is nothing I can even give him (besides Tempra) because of his age. Pharmacist doesn't recommend anything. I hope it passes, we have a swimming class on Tuesday morning - and the same exact thing happened to us back in October when he was supposed to start those swimming classes at the Y near our old house. One week I forgot, one week he was sick... and then we moved... and those went down the swimming pool drain.... I cannot let that happen again. This week we start both a swimming class called "Duck" on Tuesday and on Wednesday we start Aqua-Strollers. Next week - we add in Sean's Gym class on Monday and Sean's music class on Wednesday morning before Aqua-Strollers. Looks like we are going to be busy in the mornings until March! I like busy though - it's good!

This afternoon I convinced Jamie to watch No Reservations with me. I thought it was really cute. Dang hormones - I cried. I also cried during Desperate Housewives this evening.

I've got some serious back pain. I'm not sure if it's pregnancy related or not, but I will speak to my doctor next week when I go back for a check-up. I have not been lifting anything heavy. (Sean is only about 23 lbs - does that count as heavy?) But if I didn't lift this kid - I'm not sure how I'd get by. There are certain instances where I just have to lift him. Yes he's walking - but sometimes I have to grab him from something he's doing that I don't want him to be doing, or to take him out of the den - it's still fenced in, or to even bring him to another room in faster time than he can make it in. Grrr, this back pain is killing me. No position is comfortable anymore.
Found these adorable little footsteps in my backyard today. Aren't they just precious in the clean snow? I wonder what animal made them?

Sean had some energetic moments today, despite being sick. Poor guy... I hope his runny nose goes away fast... I don't want to start cancelling plans this week!

He was in a very grumpy and irritated mood all day. So much that I'm enjoying him being asleep right now. He was very "cry-y" all day - if that is even a word. And very clingy - which I don't mind. (In the picture above you can see his 6 teeth! The last 2 are almost 100% out!

Despite Sean being clingy today - I did manage to get some knitting done today. Actually a lot of knitting. I've managed to end up closing the top of the mitten. (Many rows after I took this picture today - this afternoon - in day light). All I have to do tomorrow is the thumb! And voila - some thrummed mittens! As you can see - I have no idea at all where all my stitch holders are - and I have a LOT of them... Ok, not a lot - but I own stitch holders. I have no idea where they all went. Maybe they haven't been unpacked since the move - that is very possible as well. Which sucks... so now, I'm using extra large safety pins for the thumb... but they kinda resemble my stitch holders anyhow! So it works.

Here is proof why Thrummed Mittens are are necessary at this time of the year. A lot of snow. And really really cold weather. Here is the view from my bedroom window. I love having a patio off my bedroom. It'll be great for photographs in the summer.

Don't forget that today is the last day for Robyn's Nest's Boxing Day Sale. 15% off everything (excluding sock club kits). Last chance to take advantage of the sale! Also - February's Sock Club kits have gone up for sale - information here!

I just signed up for a Cardio-Poussette group with my girlfriend, and I've got Aqua-Mommy later this morning. Looks like we're both going to be busy this winter! Should be fun!

Also, I LOVE your thrummed mittens! I have a fleece artist kit all ready to go, I already made my thrums, I just have to sit down and knit them!

HAM cookies?! OOOohhh, i feel sick just looking at them. (then again could be the morning sickness...)

My midwife told me not to life anything over 25 pounds to keep my back from hurting. I guess they just don't realize that we HAVE to pick up our kids sometimes.

I hope Sean feels better in time for all his classes!
