may seven

You are all right! Tulips. They were just late in blooming. They're not all fully bloomed, but I hope they last longer than my tulips from last year. Ironically, a year ago today, I thought someone was cutting my tulips. (Okay, I thought it was my ex-tenant at the time). Turns out it was the squirrels. Here's to hoping that the squirrels don't eat my tulips this year.

Today for lunch I decided to try Whole Wheat Kraft Dinner. I have both in the house, but hadn't tried the whole wheat yet.

Looks the same as regular, just a tad darker since it's not while flour, but whole wheat.

Even looks at tad darker once the cheese is on, but let's see the verdict of the whole wheat KD:

Mikey Likes It! So does Mommy. No real difference in taste. Sean also loves his Personalized Name Fork (came with a spoon as well). I also got the same matching set for Mackenzie.

Today while Sean napped I got a lot of work done. First off, I organized my bookshelf in my office with all my Knitting Books & Magazine. I had stuff in there that shouldn't have been in there, and there were knitting books that weren't on the bookshelf. The books on top of the bookshelf are my craft books. The top row is completely all knitting books and the bottom row is half knitting books and half knitting magazines. I need to update my library on Ravelry as there are a bunch of books not included that I didn't enter yet, as my library has grown recently.

Speaking of Ravelry, apparently my Queue has grown from the 146 patterns that it was a few days ago, to 202. Yep, I've been cleaning through my bookmarked links, (had a bunch of MagKnits stuff on there that I wanted to see if they'd been posted on Ravelry yet and not lost forever) and my Queue list just grew & grew & grew. Seems like I have enough knitting projects to last me a few lifetimes through! Maybe I'll get to knit them all one day. Who knows.

This evening I went to the Mom Show near my house, and walked out with 1 purchase. This cute little knit sweater, that one of the ladies whom I'd met before at the Montreal Knitting Guild was selling there, with her sister who owns Paisley Baby. Her sister sells her knitted items on the website I just linked. I can't remember what the lady's name is though, who comes to the Knitting Guild Meetings. She remembered me though. There is a Guild meeting next week, maybe she'll be there. Anyhow, I plan on framing this little sweater and putting it in my office. It's just too cute. The show was useless, my mom did buy a children's book for Sean to read at her house, but there was not even half the vendors there than the show we went to when I was pregnant with Sean, (November 2006 I think it was) and it was just useless. I did run into this woman Kathleen whom I took a photography course with a few months before I entered Photography School. I hadn't seen her since March 2002, and well, frankly, didn't remember her. She remembered me right away. (Pregnancy brain on my end?) Anyhow, she now owns her own studio, and is doing well, which I'm happy for her. I think she graduate just a few years before me from the school that I got my degree in Professional Photography.

This afternoon, the cashier at the grocery store, (I stopped on my way home from Sean's music class this morning), tried to convince me to NOT buy a bottle of diet coke. She kept asking me if I was sure that I wanted her to ring it up on my bill. What the fuck? Since when is she my mother. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs while pregnant. I don't even drink coffee. LET ME HAVE MY FUCKING DIET COKE.... I know I'm a tad addicted to Diet Coke, but who the heck does she think she is? She looked like she was 12 and never even been kissed by a boy, let alone had a child. I just don't understand how some people think they can butt in.

I'm having issues with blogger emailing my comments to my hotmail, so some of the recent comments never got emailed to me, but since I moderate my comments, I see them when I log into blogger. So I apologize to those of you whom are expecting an email back, if I don't respond to a comment in particular, that's why. I do however, need to catch up on some emails, I have 252 emails in my hotmail inbox that need answering. (I had narrowed it down over a week ago to under 50-60 emails, but now it's back up there in the 200+. Eh... I'll get to them, it just may take me a little longer than usual. Ooops, just got sidetracked for a bit in my inbox. Managed to get a few emails out and it's now down to 212. Every email that comes in is very important to me, so I take the time to respond. Ok, you just lost me for a few more minutes there. Inbox is now at 200 emails left. Tomorrow I shall continue to empty it out by responding back to people. I promise!

I leave you tonight with this funny joke (I got a good laugh):

A Lesson in Genealogy

A little girl asked her mother, "How did the human race appear?"

The mother answered, "God made Adam and Eve and they had children and so was all mankind made."

Two days later the girl asked her father the same question.

The father answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved."

The confused girl returned to her mother and said, "Mom, how is it possible Web Bug from http://www.endfatigue-dev.com/images/rsc/1.gifthat you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?"

The mother answered, "Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his."

Wow, I wonder if they have whole wheat Kraft Mac & Cheese down here...June is addicted to Mac & cheese and the whole wheat kind seems like it would be healthier!

Also, who does that cashier think she is? Firstly, it's no one's business but yours what you do while you're pregnant, Secondly, it's only SODA and thirdly, the Diet Coke could have easily been for Jamie or a friend or anything? She didn't know it was yours.

I had a similar comment once late in my pregnancy with June, I get breakfast at Starbucks every morning, but I don't drink coffee (I hate the taste of coffee so I don't drink it pregnant or not!). So every day in the winter I get hot chocolate or tea, and in the summer I usually get iced tea or iced chai. Chai is like a sweet tea made with milk, so in the cup, it looks like iced coffee. And one day I was walking into my building with it and some older lady was all "You know you're not supposed to drink coffee when you're pregnant! It's not good for the baby!" and I was like: "1. You can have something like 4 cups of coffee a DAY when you are pregnant without harming the baby, 2. This could be decaf for all you know, 3. I hate coffee, this is tea. But you know, thanks for your 'concern' " and walked away.

Idiots.

Your tulip is lovely!

BTW the diabetes clinic says that aspartame and splenda are ok (they said you could never ingest the large amount required to do any harm to the baby). It really just the caffiene you should limit and you are allowed up to the equivalent of one to two cups of coffee a day! Everyone has an opinion eh? I am proud you didn't lose it on her with all those hormones and such - I know I've been so hormonal and touchy the last two weeks!

I always like to check out my friends' activity on Ravelry, and you've been queuing up a storm lately! Glad to know that this isn't your usual pattern (pun intended)!

I'm so addicted to diet code red mountain dew. I really don't think it's going to harm anyone if you have a diet coke least of all that cashier. Besides last time I checked the stores want you to buy things.

Haa! I like the lesson joke, I needed a chuckle so thank you!

I agree with Bertha, she had no way of knowing it was even for you. She was making a huge assumption. Shame on her. I'd actually say something to the manager, it's not her right to comment on your purchases.
