october three :: 92 weeks old

Sean is 92 weeks old today.
Also - today's earring photo above. I love pink!

Sean went to daycare today, and did cry a little bit upon dropping him off. However, when I went to pick him up this afternoon, he was playing nicely with the other kids and was looking at books in the library in the classroom. He was smiling, laughing, I'm so happy. He also didn't start to cry when he saw me, he just ran and gave me a hug. Such an improvement! They said that he was a lot better today and the only issues they had was with nap time. But that will take some getting used to sleeping in not his crib, but on a mat in the classroom. (I provide his sheet and a blanket (which was crochet by a relative of Jamie's) and he brings daily his Nunu (since he won't sleep at home at night without it). I'm hoping it just gets easier from now on...!

While Sean was at daycare today, I worked on some stuff for Robyn's Nest. I've been wanting to tell you all about this - but needed to photograph it all, decide on names, and all that jazz... so I present to you....

Announcing Flock of Feathers. Robyn's Nest own line of hand painted yarn!!!! I'm very excited about this! 26 gorgeous colorways! The yarn is 95% Wool and 5% Cashmere. All the details are on my site. I'm currently knitting the Moss Block Cardigan in Seagull and loving it! I'll post more progress pictures of the Moss Block Cardigan over the weekend, as the picture I have in Ravelry is outdated now.

Enjoying a glass of wine (or two) with my hubby and the kids are both sleeping. We've just finished watching Survivor from last night, and we're going to finish up Season 1 of Chuck (as Season 2 just started on Tv!)

I was hunting down the city for a Fall 2008 issue of Parents Canada. No one carries it, except Chapters (I've searched any magazine/newsstand I could find/think of)... and decided to do some research online, and I think this article I found online, is the exact article in the issue I'm looking for. It was the only article I wanted from that issue (as I've never seen this magazine before, and only found out about it because Rebecca Eckler blogged about it, that she was featured on the cover and that there was an article in the magazine. Well, I found it online here. Ok, I just re-read Rebecca Eckler's article and gave in and subscribed to the magazine. I hope this issue with her on the cover is my first issue, since she says it's sooo good. I believe it's only 4 issues a year, (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall), so I'm hoping that because the Fall issue just hit stands in September that I'll get it.

My blogaversary is October 21st. THREE years!!! I plan on coming up with a contest, just not sure what yet... let me brainstorm.

Off to go finish my red wine.

Oh wow! The hand dyed yarn looks gorgeous! I'll definitely be picking some up at some point! Who's doing the dyeing, you or someone else? I particularly love the budgie, vireo, cardinal, and seagull colorways!!

oh, the yarn is really yummy...
(I keep telling myself to "SAVE THE MONEY SAVE THE MONEY.." )

the parents Canada , I can find it in my local library magazine rack, so, I don't need to buy them.
I used to buy those kind of magazines before, but then I found that I didn't really spend time reading EVERYTHING in it.
so, if it's just for BROWSING, I will prefer to borrow / or read it in the library.
Can you find this magazine in your library as well?

Sean is certainly growing up.

The new yarn is beautiful in the skein. Nice choice of fiber. Any chance of seeing some swatches?
