october nineteen

This morning we headed on the road (later than expected) towards upstate New York. There was more knitting time for me in the car. Knitting time is sometimes rare, so I'm glad I wasn't the driver this weekend!

At a rest stop, Mack wanted to take over at the wheel! (My mom was letting him stretch while I went inside to change Sean's diaper). To be honest, I'm kind of glad both boys are still in diapers. I can't imagine traveling with kids in undies and needing to use the potty... "NOW"... I guess having 2 boys though, they can go on the side of the road if need be - or is that illegal? What if they "HAVE TO GO NOW"??

We stopped at a couple of Targets on the way home. My mom and sister were looking for the dish chair in a specific color. We actually found them on liquidation for 20$ (a little bit different than my dish chair). I got a new one too - a grey one. The grey one matches my bedroom more, and the black one that I got in June is in the playroom. Sean loves sitting in it and watching TV. They are still 40$ online, but in the stores they're liquidating them.

Sean was being a good big brother, and Mack was kvetching, he decided to rock the baby bucket. He's such a good big brother! I'm very impressed with the way he's adjusting to everything.

Today's earrings. Zippers.

We pit stopped in Plattsburgh, NY on the way home, the last major town before the Canadian border. I bought the boys some stuff at TJ Maxx and also something for Jamie at Target. Man is it hard to shop for him. I wanted to get a him a Pink Floyd tshirt, but it was a brown shirt, and I don't think he'll wear brown. So I got him another funny tshirt. We had dinner at Friendly's but I was super disappointed. I hadn't eaten there in years and it was so dirty.

I am glad to be home. I had a FABULOUS time away this weekend, but it feels good to be home sweet home. Even back in my own country. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time this weekend - but it's always fabulous to be home. And tomorrow I have a million loads of laundry to do. (It never ends).

Yeah, traveling with a potty trained kid can be interesting. Phil and I always jock that Émilie is leaving a trail of DNA for people to follow everywhere we go!
