december twelve

I'm really bad. I skipped Sean's swim class again. He has one more week next Saturday. I will attend. After that, next session he goes into the pool by himself - what a big boy! I can't wait. I feel really bad, but I just couldn't get out the door to swim. Jamie took him out to get bagels and we had a nice brunch in instead.

This afternoon I met up with the lovely Tara and the lovely Caroline.
It had been forever since I'd seen Caroline, and it was nice to see Tara again, and actually sit down and knit with her this time. Always a blast hanging out with my knitting peeps.

The lovely Kadi joined us as well for a bit.

It was so nice to see them. I hope we get to do it again sometime soon. Especially since we all hail from total opposite ends of the city. Literally. From 4 different corners. I worked on an über secret knitting project while out today, that I ended up finishing tonight while watching tv. Quickest knit ever. The person receiving it will get it next week, so I will only be able to post pictures then. Stay tuned!

I keep hearing a sizzling sound coming from my laundry room. Yet when I'm in the laundry room I hear it coming from my office. It's driving me nuts. I want to know what it is so I can make it stop. I'm hoping one of the kids' chanukah/xmas/Sean's birthday toys isn't possessed and is making sounds. And today's not the first time I've heard it. Very weird. I am hoping it stops soon.

Since last night I lit the candles after Sean was in bed, tonight I made sure to do it while he was still awake so that he could see what was going on. Last year he was still too young, he wasn't even 2 yet.

Though, again like last year, after lighting the menorah, he wanted to blow out the candles as if it were a birthday cake. That gave me a chuckle. Silly boy!

Happy Chanukah to my friends who celebrate!

So, I had NO idea until today that I (Knit & Purl Mama) was nominated for the Canadian 2009 Best Crafts, Cook, & Other Activities Blog! Please go and vote for me! I was actually elected into the top 5! I can't believe it! Thank you to whomever nominated me! I also was nominated for "Best Overall" but didn't make it to Round 2. Wow! This is so much fun - thank you so much. Round 2 voting is open until December 19th. Please go rank me number 1! Thank you in advance! I hope to make the next round, 3 of us will move on! Yes, I know, I'm up against the Yarn Harlot, but she has won in the past, and she's also in Round 2 for best overall blog - so maybe she can win in another category, and maybe I can actually beat her? Wouldn't that be nice! No offence to her or anything, but maybe it's time for a new winner? :)

I got great news this morning when I brought Sean to daycare. The coordinator at his daycare pulled me aside and told me that she finally has a spot for Mack starting January 4th. I don't want to scream and jump of joy yet, but I swear, I almost kissed her feet when she told me. I have to bring in Mack's birth certificate & his medical record book next week. I won't say anything to the daycare where Mack goes until I have officially signed the paperwork so that I don't jinx anything. But I am so happy! Finally. No more dropping off and picking up in two separate locations. It's been very tiring.

I worked today in the office, nothing exciting really. My printer is broken so I kept having to run to the service department to get anything I printed. I could have shouted through my little window at the guys to bring me my papers... but I can never remember any of their names (except for our manager & the assistant manager, and one other guy who wasn't even working at the time!) LOL. Anyhow, my manager assures me that he's ordered me in a specific printer that we don't actually carry in stock for my office and we should get it in soon. Sounds good to me. Hoepfully it'll be there the next time I am in my office.

Tonight my in-laws came for supper and we celebrated Jamie's birthday. My step-mother-in-law made lemon merangue pie and boy was it delicious!

We managed to squeeze a family shot in before Mack's bedtime, but as you can see he was already having his bottle as it was late and almost his bedtime, and wanted nothing to do with a picture!

I read The Eight Nights of Chanukah by Leslea Newman tonight with Sean before bed. Chanukah started tonight - Happy Chanukah to those who celebrate. I lit the candles tonight, but only after Sean went to bed, so I will take some pictures with him tomorrow. He's so excited about Chanukah, I hope he understands what it's all about. I need to find another book that explains it better, because the book I read him tonight, while cute, was a song to the tune of "The 12 Days of Christmas"... so no real story in the book, but it was cute. And Sean liked it.

I finally have some designs to show you! I've got one for you tonight and another to show you in the next couple of days!

Here is Grape Vines.

I'm in love with this design.
Look at the pattern in the sock. I'm in love.

Today is Jamie's Birthday.
Happy Birthday hun!

I worked at home all morning. I watched The Answer Man (USA working title) today. I like Kat Dennings who was in Nick & Norah's and I like Lauren Graham who was Lorelai in Gilmore Girls. The movie was a little slow and just okay. Not something I'd watch again.

Then headed to sewing class just after lunch. I had a nice time in class today and my sewing teacher really liked the holiday gift that I got her. She's so cute. I'm going to miss her once class is over (one week left). I don't think I will continue on in the next session, I lucked out having a private class and I don't think there is any thing more I want to learn how to do right now. I've mastered the zipper, and know how to sew a straight line right now, so I'm pretty happy. I definitely won't be taking up anything with sewing for a living, but it's fun to know how to do, and know how to work my own machine to actually make a few things.

Today in class I made this box bag. It's freakin' tiny. Totally thought it would be larger, but it's meant for notions, not a sock project in progress. I completely altered the pattern though, and lined the pouch properly, instead of just making the inside the way it is in the pattern. It looks a lot better completely lined. I'm much happier with it that way. It's a cute little bag, and there was a bit too much hand sewing for my liking, but that's okay.

I had a clumsy day in class today though, I broke 2 sewing machine needles, one just after my teacher told me to be careful going over the zipper. Oops. And then not too much longer after that, I busted another one. Not my day! I was also having threading issues today. It just wasn't my day.

Tonight we dropped off the kids at my parents house and we headed to the Habs game. What a nice way to celebrate Jamie's birthday. Too bad we lost 3-2 to the Pittsburgh Penguins. I honestly think that we should have won this game. We had tied it up but the ref blew his whistle prematurely, and caused the entire Bell Center to boo the referee. It was nasty!! It should have counted as a goal. It was totally not fair. We could have tied up the game, sending us to overtime and possibly winning the game. Ugh! It was nice to come home tonight to no kids though! They're sleeping at my parents house tonight, and I will pick them up tomorrow morning before daycare.

With Chanukah starting tomorrow night, I saw this awesome link on my friend Rhoda's blog. Thank you for sharing. It's totally cute! I hope to find some time to make some with my boys this week! Let me know if you end up making some as well!

december nine :: 77 weeks old

Mack is 77 weeks old today.

We woke up this morning to some really beautiful snow.

And beautiful trees.

And a lot of snow everywhere.
I hate this time of the year, because my pants usually end up soaking wet.

And you have to leave your windshield wipers up in the air.
(This is not my car, but one parked in front of me in a parking lot).

I ran errands after dropping off kids which lasted ALL morning. I did some Christmas/Chanukah/Birthday gift shopping. I am really happy with my progress. Not only is it the holidays, but the December birthdays begin tomorrow:

10th - Jamie
19th - Amy
22nd - Mom
23rd - Step-mother-in-law
28th - Sean

After getting everything done, which was nice because not a lot of people were out shopping today because of the storm, so checking out of stores was super fast. I love it. What a good idea to go out today. When I got home and unpacked all the stuff I'd picked up today, I got a phone call from Sean's daycare. ean had an allergic reaction or rash to something and I had to come pick him up immediately.

So I picked up both kids and headed to the Clinic. While picking up Mack, his teacher told me that I should put Mack to bed around 8:30/9pm instead of 7:30pm after asking me the exact time I put him to bed at (which is 7:30pm). Mack doesn't make it past 7:30 pm, he starts crying for his bottle and wants to be put to bed. He created his own bedtime, and I am fine with that. Who is she to dictate what time I put my kids to bed? I am honestly baffled by this... and it's honestly the last straw. I cannot wait for Mack to get into Sean's daycare, I'm ready to start kissing some feet to get him in... I really hope it's not too much longer. It's honestly the only thing I want for Christmas/Chanukah...! (Since we celebrate both). Is that too much to ask for?

So I take the kids to the children's clinic in my neighborhood. I have never before in my life been in and out in 10 minutes. This is the clinic that I had a very bad experience with, with one of the doctors back in December 2007/January 2008. However, we saw another doctor there today who was on call. Sean had a reaction to the H1N1 shot. I couldn't believe it. And it's hives that are all over his body. The clinic said they'd seen 127 cases so far, usually because of egg allergies. Though, Sean doesn't eat eggs on their own, he does eat a lot of things that are cooked in eggs, so I was shocked about this. Maybe there is something else in the shot that he reacted to? I am going to bring it up to his doctor at his next check-up. (Or when I go with Mack to his, which will be sooner).

I picked up Benadryl on the way home from the clinic as that's what we were told to give him. Here is what some of the hives looked like:

The worst of it was all around his upper legs. It was so bright red and in huge patches. He said it felt itchy, so I am hoping that the Benadryl helps. Poor kid! Now I am wondering if I should have gotten us vaccinated? I'm worried now.

This evening we lost power in the house, so we ordered in supper. We lost power for exactly an hour from about 6pm until 7pm. We couldn't exactly cook as we couldn't see anything, even though we have a gaz stove, so we could have cooked. I really wasn't in the mood to cook by flashlight. The power actually came back on just a minute before our supper arrived.

Jamie and I chilled after kids had their bath and were in bed for the night. By the time Sean went to bed, his hives looks like they're going away and were looking a lot better. I hope they are all gone by the morning, but I have no idea how long these things take to clear? Poor guy!

Specs:
Pattern: Hackie Sack (My Ravelry Link)
For: Test
Yarn: J&P Coats Royale Fashion Crochet (Size 3)
Hook: 3.5 mm (E)
Size: Too small
Timeline: December 8 2009
Modifications: Followed pattern as published.
Opinion: It's too small & I don't like it. I will try another pattern. Wanted to make it for my nephew as a stocking stuffer, but I have to perfect it before giving it to him. Also - the way it's done to decrease the lentils I filled it with (as suggested online to use for a hackie sack) fall right through some of the decrease areas). Will try again! Need to perfect it.

Today I worked in the office. My arm mis still sore, but I am able to type, so thank goodness I don't have to do any manual work at my job. Otherwise I wouldn't

Tonight I h ad the Montreal Knitting Guild meeting, and Madeleine picked me up and we went together. It was nice to see some friends there, Christine, Eugenie, as well as some other members that I know, as well as a few from my knit group. The blanket above was knit by one of our members. Holy! It's insane! I am going to try to find out more information to give you - the pattern or if it's on Ravelry (which I doubt as I don't think she's a ravelry member/user), but it's wicked! I can't even imagine how long it must have taken her to make it! Crazy!! And the detail in it! She brought it tonight as it was our Christmas Party/Show-and-tell night. I brought along my Bella's Mittens to show everyone. Everyone loved them. I worked on that hackie sack above during the meeting tonight. I really am not impressed with it though. There must be a nicer way to finish it off for the second half during the decreases. I'm going to continue searching for another pattern. I'll succeed, I'm sure.

december seven

It never fails. There is always a mess in the house in the 5 minutes that it takes me to wash up in the morning. I'm still not 100% certain how he got a hold of a kleenex box (not sure where he took this one from) as all the boxes in the house are supposed to be out of child reach).

Sean is Mr. Silly. Even while in time out (that's his green time out chair) he was wearing his helmet backwards. He's been walking around the house lately with his helmet on. He could wear it for hours. He doesn't mind. Not one bit.

I've got progress on Zachary's Blanket.
Zachary is Jordyn's little brother.
(Zachary is exactly 12 days younger than Sean)
Zachary is my 2nd cousin.

Sean's class is collecting can tabs for a fundraiser. The Mount Sinai Hospital collects them and then turns them into metal for wheelchairs. I hadn't brought back my recycling yet, so we had a LOT that we were able to donate today to his class. If anyone else has any at all for me, please let me know, it's an on going fundraiser, so you can mail them over to me anytime! Let me know if you can help out.

I worked at home today until it was time to run 2 errands and then pick up the boys early to go get vaccinated. I wanted to make shot in enough time for it to kick in before the holidays. I was told it takes 10-14 days to be effective. Jamie and I were on the fence for the longest time about whether or not to get the kids and/or ourselves vaccinated. I finally made a decision a few days ago that I will get us vaccinated. I had read an article in the Gazette and basically because I will be traveling with the two boys in January when the next "wave" of the H1N1 flu will be going around, I didn't want to be in an enclosed airplane without being vaccinated. Not sure if this was the right decision or not, but we waited long enough after everyone else was vaccinated, and heard nothing serious happening from getting the shot, so I guess it can't harm.

The longest part of getting this done was the 15 minute wait afterwards to make sure we didn't have a reaction. There was no line up to get the shot. I was so happy it was in-and-out.

My arm didn't hurt when I got the shot, nor did either of the boys even so much as flinch. No tears, nothing. I was so proud of them. My arm kills now though... a lot. It's very sore. I was told it could last up to 3 days (hurting/sore). Fun.

I'm still hoping Jamie goes to get the shot but for some reason I don't think he will. And I'm certainly not going to push him to get it either.

I finished watching Monk tonight. It was Friday night's episode and it was the series finale. I'm so sad that it's over. I loved Monk. I now need something else to watch that Monk is over. Does anyone have a good series for me to get into? (Nothing with Jane Lynch please! I don't like her acting, which is why I couldn't get into Glee).

december six :: 153 weeks old

Sean is 153 weeks old today.

He decided that he wanted to feed his brother breakfast this morning (we had oatmeal).

We hung out in the basement for most of the morning, since Jamie went out today.
Mack is attached to this hockey stick. He carries it around the house.

We "played" bored games.

The kids "posed" for photos.
They took "naps" in hockey nets.

We also sat inside hockey nets.
We wrote a letter to Santa Clause. Canada Post allows kids to mail their letters to him for free, and they have Santa's Helpers that will respond to the kids. I'll mail it out tomorrow and see what we get in response. Sean wrote that he wanted some new books, some new toy cars and a kitchen play set (which he will be getting from my brother & sister for his birthday). (He also doesn't know that he will be getting plenty of cars & book also for his birthday/the holidays, so he'll be happy!)
Tonight we went to my parents house for supper. Sean got to try out a new trike that my parents ordered from airmiles. It's pretty awesome. He almost refused to go home!! He just wanted to stay and ride the trike. My parents will let him ride it in their house until the summer and then it will go outside to be an outdoor toy.
When we got home from dinner tonight, Jamie and I for the first time ever were able to sit down at the couch and watch Dexter live on it's original airdate. We're finally caught up to date. Season 4 ends next Sunday, so we're finally up-to-date. I wonder if there will be a Season 5? Does anyone know?
So I've decided, 2010, I'm knitting for me. ME, ME, ME! I don't have much in regards to knitting for myself. I think I've certainly crafted enough for others lately, so I really want to finally make myself a sweater. I want to maybe even make myself more than 1 sweater in 2010. So we'll see what happens with knitting for other people, as there are still a few unfinished items (like a sweater for Mack), Maybe a sweater for Sean too - in size 3... we'll see! They outgrow things so fast, it kills me that they don't get to wear things long, you know? But 2010, will be for me. It's only fair! I have knit myself little things in 2009 (like Bella's Mittens, Go Habs Go Socks, Clapotis, Ishbel, Chevron Scarf, Misty Garden, but I've knit and crochet a lot for other people,

december five

This picture was taken at work yesterday. Jamie asked me to photograph the store so he could show my dad and some other people the improvements we've done since taken over the franchise. I have no idea what it looked like before I started there after my maternity leave was over, but I like the look now, how clean it is, and how organized. If you look in the distance, Jamie's standing next to one of our employees (in the red shirt). I work all the way in the back in an office. I like being there. It's nice and quiet, I get my work done and no one really bothers me. We have a great group of people working for us, and I'm really happy the way things are going.

This morning I skipped Sean's swimming class. Oops. I didn't feel like going. I'm bad. He has 2 classes left and I WILL be going to them. And Mack will be going to his swim class this week. Finally. I promise. With the kids being sick and then me coming down with a really bad cold two weeks ago, it's just been one thing after another.

This morning I went out with Sean instead. We had a TON of errands to run. We did a huge post office run (took us almost an hour at the post office at the counter). I picked up something for Jamie for his birthday, which of course Sean wanted himself, but I will get to that in a few minutes. We got my watch battery replaced. We returned our library books that were due. We picked up lunch and then headed home. Mack was already in his nap when we got home.

At lunch, just after sitting down at the table Sean says "Daddy, we bought you a hockey player for your birthday"... I was shocked. He cannot keep a secret! Oh no! So of course I gave Jamie his birthday present early (his birthday is this Thursday). I couldn't believe it!! The little bugger. I picked up a Maurice Richard figurine that I saw, since Jamie collects some of them. I really liked this one, since it's was vintage. It's from me to him for his birthday. I also gave him some money to spend online to buy some hockey cards he wanted. The kids got him (but I will only give it to him on Thursday) some new sweaters and some new long sleeve shirts, which he needs. Let him open something on his birthday! I'll knit him some socks as well, but those he'll get when I am done them (after starting them of course!)

This afternoon I did some cleaning up in my office, and somehow Sean managed to put the little "key" that comes with the knitpicks options set down the drain of the sink. I was furious. I should have another one somewhere, but still! I can't believe he did that! You know the little key you use to hold the cable in place so that the needle screws on securely? Yeah, that little key. Gone. So angry!! The little bugger.

Tonight we had Jamie's friend & his girlfriend over for chinese fondu dinner. I love fondu dinner. It's by far one of my fave things to have with friends. We'll be doing it again for new years eve with them. There is actually a Habs game on this year on new year's eve, so we'll be watching that as well. It's an early game - 5pm. So we'll be able to watch the game and then enjoy dinner. On new year's eve they are playing the Florida Panthers, which my grandmother is going to the game in Florida, with her "Canadian Club" friends. She's part of a group in her area that holds events and outings with other "snow birds". It's kinda of nice. I'm actually quite jealous that she's going to that game! I also have a friend who will be in Florida at the same time and will be going to that game as well. She was in playgroup with her son who is a month & a half older than Mack. (She's the one whose husband has season tickets to the Habs 2 seats over from us and kinneared me knitting at a recent Habs game).

Speaking of the Habs, Sean managed to get ketchup ALL over his white Habs jersey tonight. I really hope it comes out. It's currently soaking...! I don't know why Jamie let him eat ketchup in his habs jersey. I never let him eat anything at all while wearing it.

december four

Again today, Mack didn't cry at daycare drop off. I like this! I'm so happy. It makes me feel good that I can go to work or work from home and know that he's happy in his environment.
Here's my finished Bella's Mittens!

Specs:
Pattern:
Bella's Mittens (My Ravelry Link)
For: Me!
Yarn: Kraemer Yarns Alpaca Bulky in Natural
Needles: 5.0mm/US8
Size: N/A
Timeline: November 29 2009 - December 3 2009
Modifications: Followed pattern as published.
Opinion: Love them. They're incredibly soft. I can't wait to wear them!

Today I worked in the office and I went for lunch with my store manager and Jamie. We went for some Chinese Food at the restaurant right next to us. After my meal I got a fortune cookie that was handed to me by the waitress and it read: "You will be showered with good luck". I like this! Let's see what the future holds. There are a couple of things in my life right now that I wouldn't mind some extra luck on..!

Tonight we went with my in-laws to dinner. We picked a restaurant that had tvs that we knew would be playing the Habs game. Tonight marks the Habs 100th birthday. What a pre-game ceremony! What a game! We finished watching the game when we got home. We played Boston tonight and creamed them 5-1. What a beautiful game. Why can't they play like this more often?! We need more wins. Let's hope we can get to the Stanley Cup in our 100th year. That would then mean 25 Stanley Cups in 100 years. (We currently hold 24 Stanley Cups).

What a game! It was so exciting!

december three

This morning again, Mack went to daycare without any issues! No crying anymore. I am starting to like this! I am glad he's starting to finally feel comfortable at school.

This morning I took my car in for a tire change. I had an appointment, and thought that it would be an easy change, but it resulted in me needing new winter tires. (400$ + tax later). Ugh! He told me that because I'm running 32 km each way to work a few times a week, and with the kids in the car, that my tires wouldn't last the entire winter. Because I am the primary kid driver, that was without doubt the reason to sell me new winter tires. No questions asked. Their safety is most important. Especially with the nasty black ice we get in Québec on the roads. I worked on Bella's Mittens while waiting. Even though it wasn't a quick change it took less than 45 minutes.

Today in my sewing class I made this adorable pouch. I love it!

I am still learning, so it has it's imperfections, but it's pretty darn neat! I'm enjoying what I'm learning. I really wanted to make a box pouch in class, but my teacher somehow convinced me to make this one as there was a pattern for it already and we didn't have to start making one. Apparently she's not too fond of "free tutorials" on the 'net. LOL

This pouch I made is way smaller than I'd like, but now at least I understand the construction on how it's made! That's a start!

On my way home from sewing class I browsed some books and magazines at Chapters and then did some groceries next door. I picked up the kids and we made some steaks for dinner with some really good whole wheat side dishes.

This evening we watched Dexter from this past Sunday and tonight's episode of Survivor. I also watched the 2 hour episode of Private Practice and worked on finishing up Bella's Mittens, which are now officially complete. I'll photograph them tomorrow and post that then! I love them. I am so excited to wear them tomorrow!

december two :: 76 weeks old

Mack is 76 weeks old today.

I kept the boys home this morning from daycare as we had their check-ups with our (sub) doctor this morning at 11:45 am. Our doctor is on maternity leave. Had I known that Dr. L is VERY thorough with her patients, I would have fed my kids lunch before going. Dr. L was very late seeing us, and our 11:45 am appointment became after 1pm and we were only out of there just shortly after 2pm. I was not happy. Sean had his 3 year old check up. He is doing great. He's now in the 50th percentile for both height & weight. He's 32 lbs and 3 feet 2 inches tall. (38 inches). Mack is doing well as well, and I need to schedule him to get his 18 month vaccines at the local CLSC since Dr. L won't administer shots like our doctor (who is on mat leave until October 2010) will. Mack's still in the 10th percentile for weight (22 lbs 5.5 oz) and 75th percentile for height (33.4 inches). My boys are doing well, so that's great. I also got some more info that I needed for my questions in regards to the H1N1 shot. Still debating whether to get all of us vaccinated or not. We'll see. Did you get your kids vaccinated? Yourself? Are you NOT going? If not, why then? I also had the doctor listen to my lungs as I wanted to make sure that I wans't coming down with anything, but she said that whatever I must have had I was fighting it off, as my lungs sound perfectly clear. Phew. That's good news.

After the appointment we met my dad's mother for lunch so she could see the boys. We had a quick lunch (boy are the boys lucky, two days this week they get treated to McDonalds!) and then my mom & I headed back to the west island to finish up some errands. My mom came with me to the doctor's appointment to help out with the child not being seen by the doctor. It's super hard to go with them alone since Mack's still really young.

This evening I went knitting with my group, West Island Knits. We were a small group, but I love the small group as I love our large group as well. Good conversation, nice mochaccinos and I got to finish my first Bella's Mitten and cast on the 2nd one. All I had to do was finish the thumb on the first one. I think I should be able to finish them by tomorrow. They are THAT fast of a knit. And I love them. So much!

december one

I figured it out! I sat there during Twilight on Sunday night thinking "Wow, Victoria looks familiar"... but couldn't place her. Afterwards I finally looked up the cast. Then saw that Victoria was played by Rachelle Lefevre. Then I realized that I knew her! I used to be part of a youth group that she was in and we traveled to the USA one weekend back in 1996! I then dug through my photo box and found this picture of her, with a guy she met while down there. I must see if I can figure out who he is. It would be nice to catch up. I remember his nickname, but nothing else about him.

I now want to see New Moon. Haven't watched it yet.

This morning Mackenzie PUSHED me away at daycare. He also didn't cry at drop off. I think we're starting the next phase! This is good news. Let's hope it lasts. I'm hoping that he now realizes that Mommy does come to pick him up at the end of the day, and that he's not left there. We're on a new path! Sounds good to me.

This morning I had my new railing installed outside our house. Simple and clean looking. That's what we were going for. Practical and not too expensive. Jamie & my father tried to install something they'd picked up at Réno Depot but it didn't fit our stairs, so we had to hire someone to custom make the new railing we had installed. Took the guy 5 minutes to install it. I couldn't believe how quick that was. Now it's safer for our mailman, our newspaper delivery guy, the postal delivery guy (larger packages than lettermail) and for our cleaning lady. Most everyone else in winter (family/friends) usually use the garage to come into the house.

Here is progress on my Bella's Mittens. I love them.
I can't wait to finish them so I can wear them.

Today I worked in the office. Nothing new or exciting going on over there. Same old same old.

Tonight my cousin's daughter received her blanket. She LOVED it. Above is her initial reaction.

Looks like a happy 5 year old.

Totally in love with her new blanket!
Now to get cracking on her brother blanket.
In blue of course.

Go check this video out on Zonda's Blog. Love it.

One week until Julie & Julia comes out on DVD. Must finish reading the book. I'm only about 1/3 into the book. Getting there, but it's taking me longer to read it than the last book I read. Sadly, there are a few books I want to read first (seem like quick reads) before I jump into the Twilight Saga, which I got the box set for mother's day this past year. I'll get there. Soon I hope.

Wow, December already??
