I forgot to mention last night that the signing on our new house will take place on Thursday instead of on Hallowe'en because the daughter who has power of attorney to sell the house wants to be in Toronto for Hallowe'en because her young kids want her there, and she totally forgot about Hallowe'en. So we moved it to Thursday, which is fine by me. She'll be pre-signing at the notary's downtown office in the afternoon before jumping back on a plane to Toronto, and I'll be signing at 7 pm at the office near my new house. The notary actually lives across the street from my parents and knows my parents really well. The last notary we used when I bought the house I'm currently in, is a total putz, and I refuse to go back to him. Ironically the old notary, lives and works in the same place (since he's in a wheel chair) and it's the building that my grandmother lived in after she married my late grandfather many moons ago. Less than a week and I get my new house! I am very excited. Paint colors have been picked out for the rooms that will be painted and we're ready to rock-and-roll.

I also forgot to mention that when I went upstairs last night to show the Hasidic family the apartment upstairs when they returned last night, I was shocked to what I saw! You'll never guess! My girl tenant (1 girl tenant, 3 boy tenants), was KNITTING! Yes, you heard me correctly. She was knitting! She's working on a hat on some circulars. I was pretty impressed. She said she just picked it up from her mom who picked it up because she was leaving to go away to University and needed something to do to cope! CUTE! She showed me this book that she got and which projects from it she wanted to make. I gave her also the link to my shop, and told her about our knit nights. (Is that too weird?) Soon, I won't be her landlord anymore, so maybe it's not too weird??

Speaking of which....... I got a call today that the Hasidic Jewish family that came by yesterday for two 45 minute intervals will be placing an offer on the house. They unfortunately CANNOT make it do give the offer before Shabbat tonight, so the agent (who was the agent who originally sold this house to me) will be dropping it off with my agent tomorrow night. At first they asked about July 1st occupancy (which gave me the clue that they're renting a place and their lease is until June 30th/July 1st). However, I don't want to carry this house longer than December 31st 2007/January 1st 2008. I was hoping for December 1st, but if I have to do one more month, I'll accept that. However my agent was able to get a feel for what the number is, and got a verbal offer delivered. It's a lot lower than I was expecting, but they are expecting a counter offer. The counter offer will be given tomorrow night after we get in writting their initial offer. Also, they want occupancy for April 30th, 2008, which is out of the question. I'll be counter offering my amount with December 1st, 2007. I refuse to carry this house longer than December 31st, but I will try first for December 1st, unless we got top dollar for this house, and I can use that for the mortgage payments, and all the other bills to keep this place going (heating bills, phone line for the alarm system, etc) but even still I don't want to be responsible for this house past 2007.

Today we went out for lunch with some friends, and Sean was sporting his Red Sox outfit, which was given to him by his "Auntie" Sherrie. Jamie says he allows Sean to wear it because the Sox are in the playoffs, but if the Yankees had made if further, Sean would not be wearing it.

I got my mannequin leg in the mail last night. Help me name her. She definitely needs a name. I will give a prize to the person who helps me come up with a good name for her!

This picture is for Tara. It's the mannequin leg modelling Jamie's Cabled Socks. Yep, it's sock number 1. Sock number two is still in progress. (I better finish it soon)

Progress on Sean's Drive-Thru Sweater. I am LOVING it!!! Coming out so great. Makes me want to knit another one after this! (REALLY!) I am soooo happy with the color choice I went with. It's looking great.

Since Bertha is making the same size sweater (when she casts on) for her daughter June, she will be doing it in the Berry colorway, I am sending her yarn for the yoke. I actually have a skein of berry for a probably one day daughter sweater, providing I one day get that daughter I want! I need a little more, which Bertha will be mailing me (thanks again!) and I'm sending her in return 6 colors for her to choose from for the yoke on her sweater. I told her it's rediculous for her to go out any buy a full skein for the yoke, when I had so much leftover from Sean's sweater, and extras I had in my stash, which I had no use for. Does anyone happen to have any Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Blue Violet, Charcoal, or Taupe in their stash, that they can part with some? If so, email me, I'll let you know how much I need and we'll figure out a swap/trade. There are no Michaels near me where I can get some. The nearest Michaels is in Ontario in Ottawa or in Plasstburgh, New York.

Anyhow, I'm beat and I have to be well rested for a lot of counter offering tomorrow. It may go back and forth tomorrow night and we may have a sale, or it may take a few days, depending on how fast they want to settle, and if they want to meet our price. Also - it seems like they want to settle before the open house on Sunday, so we'll see how it goes....! Wish me luck to get the price and occupancy date that I want!

October 15 of 31

I had my real estate agent come today to evaluate how much he thinks my house is able to be listed for, to sell. Tomorrow I'm signing the papers, and we're putting our house up for sale! I've potentially found a place that I like - and I'm going to see it on Wednesday. I'm very excited. I can't believe Jamie's on board (earlier than our January 1st date), but if we've found a place, then we need to sell! And so, it's finally happening! The new house will be in the area where Sean will be zoned to go to the elementary school that I want him to go to, and also close enough to my parents for help (but not within walking distance - since I do want some space! Definitely bike riding distance though).

However, when we went upstairs to show my real estate agent the changes we made to upstairs (since the last time he was in there was when I was buying this place), I was absolutely MORTIFIED. I don't think they've swept since they moved in, there was dirt and crumbs all over the floor. Not only did they have that, the faucet to the tub was leaking (I thought I heard something all week) and did they bother to tell us, nope. Oh and the kicker??? An open pizza box on the kitchen table, with crusts left over, as well as 2 pieces of pizza crust under one of the kid's bed. (2 that I could see). It was absolutely DISGUSTING in there. Tomorrow after I sign the paper and place the FOR SALE sign in the window, I'm going up and telling them that they better have it cleaned up before the first open house. I am DISGUSTED. I don't care that they're messy.... it's the fact that they are PIGS. Don't forget I know that they smoke pot and their parents that signed co-signed their lease - don't. They're cleaning up or I'm threatening them with that.

Sean has a new doctor! I got very lucky. It's actually a doctor I'd heard of before, and heard good things as well. And it's a MALE doctor - so I don't have to worry about him going on maternity leave. I will be discussing with him about the flu shot. Thank you everyone who emailed or commented with their information on it - I really appreciate it. I will be emailing back everyone individually (I always email back to my comments), but it will take me a few days, it's going to be a busy next few days with listing our house up for sale!

Sean is officially on a daycare registration list which will come out this December for next September. He'll have no problem getting accepted the woman on the phone said - as there is no outrageous list (phew!) and he'll be doing the 18 month program with another baby that we know that was born 2 months after him. Glad to know another mother in that program (she's actually the one that told me about it on Saturday night at the Anniversary dinner for my father's company).

Gaz Met finally showed up today around 2pm to ignite our heat, so it's not freezing in here anymore. The past 2 days were absolutely bad. (To the point my toes were frozen), but we didn't know how to light the furnace. Last year and the year before, the guy came in the fall to do a regular servicing and started it up for us. This year..... I had to call them. Well, finally we have heat... phew! Sean had the only heater we own in his room. He of course get priority!

Well, I'm beat. I had post-natal aqua class tonight, and I'm just exhausted. We just finished watching Heroes (and I worked on Sean's Cabled Pullover). A progress photo coming tomorrow! Sean has his swim class tomorrow morning, early, so I'm going to go close my eyes. Definitely won't be any insomnia tonight.

ps- Sean wants to win this cute 18-24 month shirt over at The Laughs Will Go On. I'm supposed to link this post.

pps- for those of you curious, game one I bowled a 136 in the first game and a 105 in the 2nd game. I can bowl over 200 on the Nintendo Wii.... weird!

September 3 of 30

Today I slept in as late as I was allowed to and Jamie took care of Sean. Sean decided to wake up last night at 3 am for an entire hour. He wasn't feeling too good, and was hungry. I gave him some Tempra, changed his diaper, and gave him a bottle. We cuddled on the couch until I woke up put him to bed in his crib and went to bed myself. Poor guy isn't feeling that great. And I'm sure it is 100% related to his swollen gums. Will those two bottom teeth poke through already!??

Today I got my website's new shopping cart up & running! Go on - check it out! I'm in love with the new look. There are still a few minor little things to take care of on there, but it's fully functional! And more beautiful than ever!

This afternoon Jamie & I also caught up on some episodes of Entourage that we had to watch as well as some episodes of Weeds (Showtime). We are all caught up. I can't wait for all the new seasons to start.

I did get a chance to work a little bit today on Jamie's sock. I've turned the heel & I'm shaping the gusset now. It's coming along nicely. I can't wait for sock number 1 is done, so he can try it on. I am worried it may be a little too small, but I could just be imagining things. I actually think they both can be done in the next 15 days. (September 18th is our 2 year anniversary).

My new tenants are loud musicians. Jamie keeps reminding me that I picked them. Grrr. They are always practicing music really loud. I'm hoping that school starts tomorrow, they'll be out of the house more! Maybe eventually it'll annoy Jamie and it'll help me get him to want to move faster? (LOL). You know, though, their music isn't bad at all... it's just loud. (I love Jazz music)!

I am glad I really got to relax today a little bit. I really needed it. Getting ready for another busy week.

Happy First Wedding Anniversary Jenn & Yannick!

August 27 of 31

While out this afternoon picking up some plastic containers at Walmart, I stopped into the photolab to see if Sean's photos happened to be there early. They were! I am not 100% happy with them, (double chin!?) but they are cute. I am re-doing them on Thursday. There is another background that I like, and I'm hoping this time no double chin. It's still cute though. (Also when they take the shot, the screen they show it to you on is soooo small and it's so pixalated, it's nasty! So it was really hard to tell and I didn't notice the double chin thing going on, otherwise, I would have asked her to re-take the photo).

Today, I got some amazing stuff into the shop. However, I am waiting for my new shopping cart to be up & running on my website before I list all that goodness. However, I will not disappoint! That I promise!

All 4 of my McGill student tenants have moved in. They are loud. They walk heavy like an elephant. I hope this it's just the shuffling around of them moving in.... I'm hoping this noise settles down. They smoked pot this morning at 9:30 am on the front balcony. OY. I later on had a "chat" with them, and mentioned that if they want to smoke, no problem, I don't care, just to do it in the back porch, not on the front porch, as there is indeed a rabbi that lives next door. They were cool with switching locations for that, actually they don't have a choice. I do know their parents phone numbers! (Their parents obviously don't know they smoke pot). I won't be mean like that and call, but I can use that to my advantage should I need to threaten them for poor behaviour. Gosh, I really feel like a "mommy" now!

Tomorrow morning Sean & I are going swimming at a friends house with her son who is just a few weeks younger than Sean, and then to see my parents for a bit (They want to see Sean). Tomorrow night I have dinner with a friend, and I am looking forward to that. Haven't seen her since before my birthday.

I have been working slowly but surely on the Stitch Marker Exchange partners. It's taking me a little of time, but if you are waiting for a partner, please be patient with me.

I was able to knit a bit (we're talking a little bit only) on Sophia tonight while watching the last two weeks of Entourage (Still have Sunday's episode to watch). We were a few episodes behind.

August 14 of 31

This morning I tested out the waterproof digital camera at Sean's Aqua class. Here are the results of some of the photos (and these were the best ones).

(Yes, Sean has a habit of keeping his feet in the air while on his back, we're working on correcting that).

Tomorrow, this camera (piece of crap) is going back to Walmart. I got what I paid for. 24$ worth of plastic crap. Oh well, I tried it out.

Next week is Sean's last Aquababies class. There is another on starting in October after all the high Jewish holidays, but I don't think I am going to enroll him in the Aquababies (which is supposed to be 3 weeks - 6 months old ages) because they're adding in massage therapy for the babies, and upping the price from 90$ to 150$, so I think I am going to enroll him in Starfish, which is the next age group up 6 months - 18 months I think is the range. Still on Tuesday mornings, but at 9:30 am instead of 10 am, and this time it's an English class not French only. We'll see. Registration doesn't start until next week.

My mom came over for lunch and then watched Sean while I went upstairs and used bleach on the mould in the bathtub. Now, I have pictures from 2 months before my last tenant moved in, and if you remember, the place was pretty much empty because my ex-tenant before my last one, never even officially moved in. She was using the lease for her court case for custody of her children, to "prove she had somewhere to live with them..." Anyhow, there was NO mould on the walls when I took the pictures on July 2nd, 2006 (picture below). My last tenant moved in Sept 9, 2006. Upon her moving out, there was mould on the walls, (black crud creeping up the walls - that shit is alive!)

The white grouting above is WHITE - not black! Also - the tub now has a weird discoloration around the tub drain. If you see above, it's a clean tub. Well, not anymore. I have no idea what my last tenants did, but now I have the estimate from the repair guy on how much it would cost to put what she did (damages for washer & dryer) "back to normal". She will most probably lose at rental board court, I have everything documented. Anyhow, next week I'll take a trip downtown to Olympic village and take care of the rental board stuff.

Anyhow, where was I? Oh yeah, the bleach took the mould right off. I now need to re-grout (wanted the bleach to sit at least 24 hours), and I'll start re-grouting the large wall of the tub and the wall where the faucets are on Thursday. That's all that needs re-grouting right now. My first tenant arrives next Thursday, so I have to get it done this week - no more procrastination!

So happy the bleach worked, because the vinegar and water solution that someone else told me to do, didn't work. It just made the place smell like vinegar (pooey!)

Tonight Sean tried Strawberries for the first time ever. He really liked it. I only gave him a small portion because I was warned about Strawberries being a higher risk fruit for allergies. So far, so good, and he loved them. I will wait a few days to see if there is any reaction before giving him more, but he loves blueberries, so I figured he'd love strawberries too.

This evening, we tried letting Sean cry himself to sleep - it didn't work. He was SCREAMING his head off, and he was standing up in his crib, he pulled himself up all the way, barely gripping onto the top of the crib, which his head just just reaches when standing up. Jamie took him out of his crib, he bounced around for about another 45 minutes, and then I gave him a little bit of a bottle, and he passed out in my arms in our bed. I put him down in his crib. HE WOKE UP. Grrr. So, I put a pacifier in his mouth, put on Baby Einstein lullaby music and left him be. I don't hear a peep and the music has now finished, so I'm assuming he has falling asleep. Maybe tomorrow I'll wake him up at an early hour, if he doesn't get up himself, and maybe the earlier I get him up, the earlier he'll go to sleep? This kid just wants to stay up late and party. I guess it doesn't help that his mommy is a night owl.

My sock club for September has just 2 spots left, better go sign up now if you were waiting for whatever reason.... they'll be gone in no time, I'm sure of it!

Speaking of knitting stuff, I finished my first ball of Cascade Quatro on my Turtleneck Shrug. I will post a progress picture tomorrow. The skein ran out short of 23 inches, which is where I have to stop before starting my decreases & cast off. Tomorrow I'll start the 2nd sleeve, very excited for that!

Kimberly over at Woven~n~Spun is having another round of Bingo. My blog name is one of the things being called this round! How neat! Go on over and check it out. I think I may play this time - why not.

Alright, I must stop eating Roasted Sunflower Seeds (Mess all over my desk!) and publish this post and try to go to sleep. See how I wrote 'try'...

Friday the 13th

I didn't even realize it was Friday the 13th today until someone mentioned it to me. Hmm. So why was I feeling off yesterday? Shouldn't that have been today? Today I woke up in a much better mood.

Today Jamie went golfing with a supplier from work, and I stayed in with Sean. Sean actually slept in this morning, so I got to as well, that was nice. I was woken up by the doorbell ringing, my ex-tenant sent me a registered letter stating she's not responsible to pay the money we're asking her for, although she clearly DOES NOT understand why we're going after her for, and now we'll have to go to the rental board (which I was going to go on Monday, but I'm going to wait until my lawyer is back in town, and go over everything with him first, before filing my complaint with the rental board). Anyhow, basically at the end of her letter she asked us to leave her alone. Oh, I'm not giving up so easy. I will get back some of the money, whether she likes it or not. I am definitely not leaving her alone, until the rental board decides what should be done. I also now have her complete address, including the missing apartment number, since my mom when she followed the truck could only get the building address. I got up upon hearing the doorbell, and did some things around the house. Then Sean got up, he ate after I changed h im, we played a bit, and then took a nap from about 12:45pm until almost 4pm. That was a nice needed nap on the couch. I love cuddling and napping with my little guy, I'm cherishing every moment, the only thing is.... he sweats. (Takes after his daddy!) And I always wake up with my shirt sleeve drenched from such a little guy!

Today I took the 28 week picture, since it was too hot and I wasn't in a picture taking mood last night. Not one bit. Sean also, he asked me to wait until today, lol.

I've had these two outfits for a while. While they're tagged at 3-6 months, they're awfly long in length. I totally thought, Sean, a December baby would totally fit into these in the spring, seing as though they're fleece, but he didn't. They fit him now, in the middle of July. The 3-6 month tag in them - totally wrong! Anyhow, since today it poured in the morning, the weather was really windy & cool, so I took advantage and took some pictures of Sean dressed up. He'll kill me for these photos in 18 years from now, but until then.... he's my cutie!

Sean the duck.

And my little stinker. It actually says that on the white patch!

This one is my fave photo... too cute for words!

Tonight we walked over to the pharmacy (I wanted a Rocket Popsicle and some soda) and post office (mailed Cynthia's birthday gift since her birthday is mid-next week) and on the way home, Sean fell asleep in his stroller. I think this is the first time he's falling asleep from walking. I should remember that the next time I can't get him to fall asleep. Maybe going for a walk will help out getting him to sleep - there's a thought!

I also arranged Sean's bookcase in his bedroom. We used to have a smaller one in there, but it didn't fit all his books. He's got quite the library of books. I cannot wait to read books to him. We've tried a couple of times, but all he wants to do it grab the book and put it in his mouth. There has been already a damaged book because he grabbed it so hard and wouldn't let go, was holding it with all his strength, and the book tore. (We did surgery to repair it, but we decided to wait a little bit longer to read him books). We do give him material books, and read those to him, but alas, they end up in his mouth! (Oh, and yes, this kid has way too many toys! I think we need a bigger house!)

Here is a progress report on my tank top for Sean. It's coming along. I need to knit in St st 6 and 3/4 inches before starting to shape the armholes. I'm at about 5 inches now. But it's about 10 rows an inch (it's really tight!) (but I want it dense!) so it's taking me a while. And I'm not sure how I'm liking the Lion Brand Cotton-Ease on my hands. It's drying them out. Using up lots of moisterizer to not have my skin crack. It's because I'm using smaller needles than the yarn calls for. But I wanted this. We'll see how it goes. I'll let you know after I'm done the tank top.

Another item that has progress to show is my Chevron Scarf. I am LOVING the colors together. That's Blue Moon Fiber Art's Socks that Rock in Rhondonite & Black Onyx in Mediumweight. I'm not liking the bamboo needles I'm using in 4mm. (Us6) I'm thinking about switching to aluminum plastic (my sparkly ones!) . (Just checked my stash, I don't have aluminum in US6 - I have every other size imaginable, just no US6. I'll have to get a pair the next time I'm out somewhere that sells. Anyhow, the bamboo's are making this a rough knit. The yarn is not liking the bamboo! (Good to know for sock knitting with STR!)

Tonight I watched the movie Night at the Museum with Ben Stiller. The movie was cute, but just alright. I knew it was a kid's moving before watching it, but that's what it was. Sometimes kid's movies are good for adults to enjoy as well. Not this one. It was just alright. Robin Williams was funny as US President Teddy Roosevelt, that comes to life in the museum, but other than that.... Ben Stiller, is really going downhill with his acting, I haven't seen him do anything good in a while. Jamie had ball tonight, and I just wanted to veg on the couch and knit. So that's what I did. I want to finish watching the movie Little Children, which I started a while ago, but then had problems with the DVD (sound), so I'm finally going to finish that tonight. And knit some more. Speaking of movie, I really want to see: Chuck & Larry, Georgia Rule, and most of all - Hairspray! I haven't even seen it broadway, but I'm totally buying this DVD when it comes out. I love musicals! And I'm a Travolta & Christopher Walken fan!

ps- I updated my post yesterday with some pictures, since I wanted to show the work before and after that was done. Anyone can clearly see that the guy who did the initial work is a moron. I was just too cranky to open up photoshop yesterday and re-size my images for the post. So go and look.... and just admire the work that Jenn's husband Yannick did. It's just beautiful!

July 9 of 31

This morning I got woken up by the postman because there was an envelope for Jamie that didn't fit through the slot. Then, I decided to close my eyes for just a little bit longer, and shortly after, I was woken by Jenn's husband Yannick, who came to do work in the apartment upstairs. Turns out, the work that needs to be done upstairs, is far greater than we thought, upon opening up the panel on the wall to the plumbing. So now, we are going to have to go after my ex-tenant for even more damages. Basically, there is supposed to be a p-trap, which is a u-shaped piece, which allows the water from what you are draining to flow out and out bugs and rodents from coming in, and second, to catch items that might go down the drain (wedding rings),etc, so you can take things out easier. Anyhow, the p-trap that was for the bathtub was removed, and something else was put in it's place, to drain BOTH the bathtub and the washing machine. You see, each are supposed to have it's own. Also - he used ABS glue on every pipe, and sealed everything shut. The guy who did the work is a moron. So, on Wednesday, Yannick is coming back, with a friend this time, and in order to fix the work, he's going to have to take down my bathroom ceiling, and fix the damage, and then there is other work that needs to be done to make sure that this is all working properly. So this small little job that was supposed to take 2-3 hours or so today, is now going to take 2 days. Just my luck. Since I have no idea who my ex-tenant hired, I can't go after him, and it wasn't myself that hired him anyhow, so she will in-turn if she can, go after him. But I'm going after her. I will see what my lawyer says when he returns from vacation, and I don't even know if she mailed that original check for the original 800$ that I was going after her for to put my building up to code for the ventilation of the dryer. Now, because there was HUGE problems with the way that the guy installed the washing machine, it's going to cost her close to 2K$ (Plus all my fees with the rental board, etc). But I am going to wait to see what my lawyer says upon his return. This is turning out to be one huge nightmare.

Today I made two pots of sauce, making enough sauce for about 10 meals. I changed around my ingredients a little, and I can't wait to see how it turns out. I tasted it and it's good, but the real test is on pasta!

Today I also picked up material to make the curtains in my den. Tomorrow, I'll be sewing (after the Aquababies class that we have tomorrow morning).

I got some knitting done today, worked on Sean's tank top. I'm finding the purl rows very annoying with the cotton-ease, I don't know why. The knit rows aren't bothering me at all. I wonder if it's because the yarn usually requires larger needles than the ones I'm using? Who knows. I like the way it's knitting up though. I would take a picture, but there is not much difference it the way it looks from the image I showed yesterday, besides the fact that it grew a little longer. I'll take pictures when there is a significant amount of what to show!

I'd like to know, how mother's who have more than 1 kid ... do it? How do they manage? How do they raise a child or children, maintain a house, cook meals and have a life? I just cant figure it out. I've been lacking on the household chores lately, and it doesn't help that Jamie works a long day at work, comes home tired and then just wants to chill. So because he's hanging out, relaxing, I want to also. How do you do it? How do you manage? How do you juggle? Please explain me the secret... or your secret. Really! It's been something that is bothering me lately... and I feel guilty/bad for not maintaining this house clean, 100%. I also have 2 cats (when I'm not a cat person), and well, they both create A LOT of cat hair, it's gross.

I received Sulah's replacement stitch marker package in the mail today. Thank you Sulah. It came in tact this time! Nothing was damaged. I will take pictures tomorrow, camera is charging. I used my camera all weekend without charging it. Speaking of dead things, I should plug in my cell phone. I ran out to do errands today while my mom watched Sean, and my cell was dead... I don't like driving with it dead. Defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

I picked up my dry cleaning today too, and while there, my alteration was ready too. I brought in Sean's J.J Cole Bundle Me, to get fixed. The zipper had busted. Originally they told me it was going to cost 25$ plus taxes to fix, but the guy managed to fix it for 9$ with tax. It was a surprise to me when I got there today. I like surprises like that! The guy told me that it's fixed, but it would probably just last one more winter. I said that's fine as long as my next child is a girl! (Because then we're done having kids).... However, if the next baby is a boy... I definitely want to try for a third.... But if the third if a boy.... I will not try again. I never wanted more than 3 kids to begin with..... but let's not think like that... because I'm going to hope the next one will bring Sean a little sister. (And no, I'm not pregnant currently - my doctor told me not to get pregnant before 1 year from Sean's birth.... which I will follow, in order to make sure that a second pregnancy is healthy).

My fave pair of tweezers are missing. Please call the authorities to make a search team. I'm sooo upset. I cannot find them anywhere. I hope they didn't fall into the toilet. I hope they didn't fall into the garbage can and go out with the trash on garbage day. I'm very upset. They. Are. Not. Replaceable. Hopefully they'll turn up when I am not looking for them. So I've stopped looking for them.

Alright, I'm going to go knit or read. Or knit and read. I'm not tired yet, but I should not go to bed late, like I did last night. I was wired last night... and that's not good. Maybe I'll watch some TV and knit. Haven't decided yet. I do have to wake up at a decent time tomorrow, we've got Aquababies.

Another day staying in. Didn't leave the house. Haven't left the house since Monday when I went to post-natal aqua. Probably is a good thing I haven't left the house. I didn't go to swim at the Y this morning, Sean fell asleep for 3 hours as of 9:45 am, and frankly, his nose started running this morning, so I decided since it's chilly outside (big time), to not make his cold worse, so we stayed in.

My mom came this morning and we sat and watched the guys load up my now ex-tenant's moving truck. I spoke to the Regie (rental board) this morning and they told me to save 75$ and to follow the truck to get my ex-tenant's new address. It would save us from having them do it at the fee. So my mom being a sleuth, followed the truck to her new address.

Bingo, we got her address. In about a week or so, we're going to go by the building and see if her name is up yet for which apartment she's in, but if not, to file a case, as long as we have the address, the apartment number is not so important.

The truck took 2 loads.

When it left the 2nd time, she called a cab.

Then I heard a knock on my door. (My mom didn't come back after following the truck, but my grandmother came by to pick up something, and ended up staying to hang out with Sean for bit).

The knock on the door was a Bailiff. My ex-tenant hired (yes, she paid money) for a Bailiff to come (he showed me his badge and everything) to hand me back the keys. YES, you read correctly. We got the keys back. Can you believe it?? Her registered letter was a crock of shit, besides the lack of spelling. He wished my ex-tenant good luck and she left. Not her, not her daughter, nor her 86 year old mother said goodbye. NOT A WORD. Wow, is she afraid of us or what...! You know what, I didn't want to say anything to her either.

The Bailiff accompanied me upstairs, and I looked over the apartment. Everything was kept in very good condition, and I think she barely hung anything up on the walls. The place was clean. The damage was still there for the dryer, and she doesn't know it yet, but we're still coming after her for the 750$. She just doesn't know it yet. She thinks that her hands are washed, and she'll never have to see us again or hear from us again..... boy does she have it coming!

Anyhow, I'm GLAD we have the keys back. I'm still shocked we do have them.... But now that means we can get our work done earlier in the upstairs, and move the stuff the kids who are moving in on the next lease upstairs, and out of my hair, because it's starting to get in the way! This also means I can move my washer & dryer upstairs after the work is done, and go shopping for my new washer & dryer with my mom. I can't wait to get a front loader!

She's gone!

I'm relieved.

It's going to be peace & quiet until the end of August. Boy am I loving this!

Some quiet time between my grandmother & Sean. This picture looks so peaceful!

My grandmother brought me some pearls today, whcih are already on posts. I plan to eventually get gold rings and turn them into stitch markers. I probably won't give any of them away, only because the beads will one day hold sentimental value. I cannot do this. They already hold sentimental value, for the fact that they were given to me by my grandmother, who thought of me when she found them, and thought the same thing "Robyn would love to make stitch markers out of these!" Does she know me or what?

I started on Sean's cabled pullover tonight. Had to frog the same row (and the row above it) twice. (The row above it was just once). Apparently I couldn't count tonight. Too much talking.

Lucy, Kadi got her SP10 package that I smuggled across the border for you. Proof she got it!

And proof she loved everything about it! Mmmmm! Delicious! I even fondled the yarn a bit!

Tonight I invited some friends over (for a knit night) since tonight is a usual knitting evening with Montreal Knits. However, I am kinda sick of the lowsy seats in there, so I figured I'd invite some girls over here for some cozy knitting. We knit & watched So You Think You Can Dance (I think that was the title of it!?)

And we took some pictures. We figured we each had a camera. Let's each take a picture of the other three that were there. (L to R: Kadi, Angela, Caroline)

Then I came in the picture. (L to R: Kadi, Angela, Robyn)

Then I scooched over a seat. (L to R: Kadi, Robyn, Caroline).

And scooched over one more seat. (L to R: Robyn, Angela, Caroline).

And then Jamie came upstairs from hiding, and took a picture of all 4 of us. (L to R; Kadi, Angela, Caroline, Robyn). Funny, 3 of the 4 of us are in SP10! (Kadi, Caroline & Myself!)

It was a fun night.

Now I have a million things to do before I leave with my MIL to Toronto tomorrow. TTC Knit In Public Day (Saturday) here I come!

June 5 of 30

Today I baked some brownies. Thank goodness I had all the ingredients in the house, I wasn't leaving it today. I just didn't feel like going out. IT was raining and it was one of those days.

This is almost how we spent most of the day. (Napping/Snoozing (and a bit of playing too!)).

Sean sat today for the first time for more than 3 seconds without falling over.

I cannot believe how big he's getting. HOLY SHIT! HE CAN SIT. My son can sit. Can you believe it? He's such a big boy. He can SIT! (Just a little freaked out here)....

And he sat and sat and laughed and played. (I need 3x C batteries for the playhouse behind him, which I got for my baby shower back in November). However, those will come in July when I am buying it again. Since this month, I'm not buying it, I'm really trying to stick to it. I'm thinking maybe I may have some C batteries somewhere in the house, but for some reason, I'm thinking they are D. (My parents who usually have everything, lol, don't have any either, already asked!) I don't think Sean will know the difference - if I wait another 26 days to get him some C batteries for his playhouse. And you know what? I'm probably saving myself from getting sick of the noises it makes - lol... I'm already sick of the music coming from his Baby Einstein toy.... he loves it, but the song is getting redundant! (Ahh, patience, I'm slowly learning!)

I played with my father-in-law's wide angle lens today. (For my Canon Rebel XT). However, flash is no good with it - because it casts a shadow, (and I'm not too sure where my removable flash is (better find it) - I'm talking about on camera flash = no good). So, I'm going to have to wait until it's nice out (today it rained), to go outside with Sean and play so more with this lens, because simple answer is - the lighting in my house sucks very royally!

He just loves his exercauser. He can be in it for hours without getting bored. He's got toys that are attached to it, and also - he's got some toys that I put on there, because he's testing us now. He throws things on the ground to see how fast we pick it up. Sneaky boy... but too cute.

These socks, which are my No Name socks, the first socks I ever turned a heel on, which never got finished, are going to the frog pond. Sorry. Actually, they're going to garbage land. I'm not even going to re-use the yarn. The leftover bits are in a pile for my friend Jennie (who has a friend who uses anything for art therapy with little kids) because frankly it's too thin for Sean's blankie. And I knit tight, so the unravelled bits are actually really really curly after pulling some out, so it went bye bye in the poubelle. (That's french for garbage). It was garbage day today.

This (above) was swatch number 1 for Sean's Cabled Pullover Sweater on the recommended US6 (4mm) needles. That doesn't look like 4".

So I upgraded to US8 (5mm). And re-did the swatch. (Still have swatch number 1 though, if I need the yarn - which I don't think I will - I can take it out afterwards. So... my question is... since I'm swatching in the cable pattern - as asked to by the pattern - do I measure 4 inches with it all "bunched up" like above, or do I pin it flat (like below) to check gauge?

I ask this because if I pin it - I get 4 inches just about in one direction, and 4 inches for sure, vertically. But this way, the cables are bunched in...... they're kinda pulled a little.
This is my FIRST time swatching in cabled pattern. Advice please...! Someone??? In the above picture, I am getting 6.5 stitches per inch, which is what I need for the pattern. But, am I supposed to do it bunched up like the 2nd to last photo?
And do I check gauge in the cables or in the k2, p2, k2, p2 area?
Not sure what to do... please someone let me know! I can still cast on, since I have to do 4 rows in stockinette stitch, so I'll start the sweater (I'm doing it in 18 month size, so he can wear it this winter). (He's in 6-9 month clothing now.. I'm sure by 12 months, he'll be wearing 18 months or so? I am assuming they're always wearing sizes that are bigger than their actual age?) (Because baby clothing sizes just DON'T make sense!)

So very jealous of those on Ravelry already. Here is a sneak peak they posted today. I submitted my name and email address ages ago, and I sit here patiently awaiting my invite! I can't wait to organize my knitting in there! Looks like a load of fun. Any of you in there yet? And? Is it fun? Don't you love it? I'm sure I will... once I get my invite!

I'm all done catching up with House, M.D. I just have to wait for Season 4 to start in September with all the other shows. Wow, that was a lot of House. Now I need something else to start watching. I also want to check out the show Notes from the Underbelly which I got from my parents, which they tivo'd. It started late spring, and I wanted to check it out.

Not Buying It Report:
Money spent today:
$0 (Haven't left the house, and have spent no money online).

On tap for tomorrow: Swimming in the morning, and my mom's coming over. Tonight's the last night my tenant is in this building. I'm very excited for her departure tomorrow. I hope she doesn't leave anything over. I say this because, she's keeping the keys until June 30th, 2007, as written in her registered letter. I just don't want her coming back. I don't think she will, she doesn't even want to come back to give me the keys back, she's mailing them to us, registered mail, at the end of the month. As of tomorrow, I will have peace & quiet above me until the last week of August, when the 4 college students move in (just before school starts, which I believe is the day after Labor Day). I'm calling the Regie first thing in the morning, to find out protocol to "checking over the place", especially since she's leaving but keeping keys until the end of the month. Also - to ask if I have the right to start doing renovations now that she's gone, but still has the keys. I want to clarify it first with them, before starting anything with my psycho tenant, because I don't want problems before June 30th. Even though she's gone, she's still my tenant til June 30th. But atleast now I don't have to see her face. And that pleases me. I'm sure it pleases her as well, to not have to see mine! She seriously hates us because we wouldn't let her get away with not paying June's rent. She really thought she wouldn't have to pay, because she wasn't staying the whole month. Does she think money grows on trees? You know, if I owned my building - it wouldn't be a problem. But because I'm on maternity leave, and I've got a mortgage to pay, for the next 19 years, she's got to pay until the end of her lease. She signed it to pay until June 30th, so we weren't going to chance that. You've got to be kidding! She's psycho for even thinking about asking us, and even nuttier for bringing it up on one of our last polite phone conversations. And if she thinks I'm reserving her a parking spot tomorrow... you've got to be kidding me. I hope the Rabbi's daughter parks in the driveway.... like you wouldn't believe! This is the only time I wish someone I share the driveway with would park in it.. because I don't want her moving truck in my shared driveway. He can double park in the street.... that's what they usually do anyhow (no consideration for anyone!)

ps- Jamie and I watched Sunday night's Sopranos this evening... all I have to say, is that this episode is by far the best episode ever in the entire Sopranos series.... Holy F*#%! I can't believe that this upcoming Sunday is the SERIES finale of Sopranos. I'm going to miss Tony, that's for sure.

June 4 of 30

Sean has been "Harlotted" (above). (Okay, and so have I!) How cool is that. Now the 7,763 subscribers can see how cute my son is! Okay, 7,762 (since I'm one of those subscribers!)

If you're over here because you had to come check out Sean - welcome! I basically blog about him & my knitting.

Today was just a rotten day.

Got that registered letter in the mail. First thing in the morning. It was an interesting letter. First off she states that because she's paying a full month's rent, she's keeping the keys until the end of the month, when her lease is officially up, which is June 30th, which then she will send them to me by registered mail. That's fine. I don't mind that at all. She's entitled. Then she states that she would "appreciate it if I would make sure to have parking space liberated so as to accomodate easy access for her movers on this date". (Where did she learn to type/write/speak in English?). She's missing a few words in that sentence and some typo-s!.... (Ok, that's my enriched English schooling coming out to attack!).

First off, I cannot liberate the street. The street belongs to the city, not me. And to my knowledge, moving trucks are arses, and park wherever they want (like in the middle of the street double parking).... so I'm not so concerned about that. She's not parking in the driveway. That's not happening. I share the driveway with the next door neighbor, and it's not my driveway. So if my neighbor yells at her to move the truck, it's not my responsibility.

Then she says that she has "maintained the integrity of the apartment as we found it. Also, as advised by the Regie, we do have proof of this by way of digital camera pictures and video camera. Plus, the CLSC workers who would come by regurlary to provide services for my mother of 86 can attest to the condition of the washroom." (What is regurlary? Never heard of this word before).

1. There is/was nothing wrong with the bathroom. Ok, so maybe the tiles are a little outdated (circa 1970's probably) but there was nothing wrong with it.

2. I too have pictures from before she moved in, I took pictures of the place empty to have pictures to show the apartment for rent, so people would know what it looks like before coming to see it. This way, if they weren't interested, they didn't waste my time.

She better have scrubbed all the stickiness off my floors and walls from anything and everything she duct taped shut. Yes, she duct taped shut an entire closet in the master bedroom. For what reason - I could not tell you!

Oh - the best part of her letter....

"We not only maintained but improved the dwelling. By adding, after your permission, outlet facilities for accomodation of washer/dryer unit at our expense of $600.00 as well as installing Internet access at our expense of $80.00 - to the total cost of $680.00 -- we even increased it's rental value." (Twice now in her letter she's mispelled Accommodation. Has she heard of spell check?? Does she have the green & red lines in MS-Office (Word) off? It's a great tool when you don't know how to spell!)

What crack is she smoking?

1. She DAMAGED our property when installing the washer and dryer facilities. We now have to have it repaired for $750. (Lawyer letter is going out on Wednesday, so it gets to her (forwarded mail) after she's out of the apartment, because I want her to leave on Wednesday happier than she will be after getting this letter - that the Regie (rental board) told me to send.

2. By installing Internet for herself to use, she's increased my rental value? I think not. When my new tenants move in, they will have to pay the SAME $80 activation fee to have Internet. It's a "new account" fee. None that can be avoided. This does NOT increase the value of my property?

Got Sean packed all up. Took her check to her bank to get it certified. Park. Get to the line. Wait in line. Get to the teller.

Insufficient funds.

BAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Had a hunch.

Come home fuming. I see my tenant and her daughter leave in a taxi. (They don't own a car). I figured if she's taking a taxi, she's out doing important business, like maybe banking?

I call Jamie.

He seems to think that she wouldn't "f" us over in this sense.

Ok... sure. We figure that maybe she got her checks for disability on the 1st, and only went to do her banking now, as she's leaving (when I arrive home).

So I wait. I wait until just before the bank closes. I go back. Wait again in line. This time I get a teller that is new. She has NO idea what she's doing. Everything took twice as long.

There is funds. We were right. She did banking during the day. She probably put in her check thinking she had money now to move on Wednesday (to pay the movers) (If she didn't have enough funds this morning to certify my check, what's to say she'll have $ to pay the movers on Wedneday and pay her new rent for her apartment. Because this month she is paying double rent - to her new place and to me. She has to pay mine though too, because we have a lease until June 30th, 2007, that she has to pay.

Anyhow, I got a certified check (or something to that effect). Rent is now deposited into my mortgage account. Phew. I was hoping to not have to chase her for rent, as well as for the damages she did for the apartment.

But what a horrible day.

But then it got semi-what better.

I watched Catch and Release with my sister. It was very cute. Kevin Smith is funny. I like Jennifer Garner. I love Juliette Lewis. Kevin Smith was apparently allowed to pick all his own wardrobe for the movie, and according to IMDB - all his clothes bear his trademark number 37. Interesting. I didn't even notice! I liked the movie, but it's not something I'd watch again.

I started swatching for Sean's Cabled Pullover. Tell me something. I understand how to check gauge for stockinette stitch. But when you're dealing with swatching in pattern (cables) do you check gauge just the same? Where in the pattern do you check the gauge? Becuase there are parts that are ribbed and not cabled? I'm not sure what to do - I've never done this before (swatching in pattern that is not stockinette stitch!)

Sean always makes my day a lot better with his daily dose of smile. I can always count on that.

Look Rhoda, look what Sean is wearing. He fits into it. Now officially ALL in 6 month size clothing. Even his onesies now. (A few of his 3-6 months size still fits, but mainly it's Gap, and no other 3-6 month size fits. Old Navy he's grown out of.... which is weird, because Gap owns Old Navy...!)

And then an early birthday package from Patty made my day. I got some Claudia Handpainted (never seen this before) in "baby boy" colorway. Socks for me, with matching ones for Sean. (There is ALWAYS leftovers when I make myself socks). I LOVE the blue, and sean will too. And I bet - there will STILL be leftovers to put this into Sean's blankie too. Talk about yarn getting around!

Patty also sent me yarn for Sean's blankie - her own leftovers. THANK YOU Patty! I love the birthday goodies! Thanks!

Wow - an early post for me. I usually blog before midnight. I'm zonked though. Besides being woken up first thing this morning by the postman with the registered letter, I had my 3rd to last (2 more weeks left) of post natal aqua. Tonight I was the only one there, private class - and because I'm not pregnant, she kicked my ass, and I had a really good workout. (Last Tuesday I could barely walk I was so sore from her workout - I wonder if I will get the same soreness tomorrow!) I decided that as soon as her class ends in two weeks (June 18th) I'm switching over to the Tuesday night Deep End class just for the summer, until post-natal starts up again. And then I'll probably keep up with the post-natal until I get pregnant again for child number 2... (some day in the future..!)

I'm beat. I'm going to go finish watching an episode of House (Season 3 - I'm almost caught up to the season finale which was last week on TV) and then off to bed. I hope to work a bit more on my swatch for Sean's cabled pullover, once he goes to bed. He's actually with his daddy right now in the other room. I think though, once I got upstairs and give him a bottle, he'll crash.

Hoping to a better tomorrow. Today just started off all wrong. After Wednesday the stress level in my life due to my tenant will be washed away..... hopefully I'll get to enjoy my birthday without that pain on my shoulders!

Not Buying It Report:

Money spent today:

$19.09 on 10 jars of baby food and 4 bottles of Diet Coke, as well as 1 box of 8 packs of Corn on the Cob popcorn. (Feel good food and food for Sean)
$15 on certified check (mortgage expense)
$5 to charity Enfant Soliel (in English that's Sunny Kid) and in return I got coffee for Jamie (I don't drink coffee)(This was a food purchase and for charity - allowed!)

Why am I buying jarred baby food?

First off, I'm being Heinz Organic. Second, I want to make sure that Sean likes it first before I go ahead and make it in batch. I don't want to have all this food and then have him not like it, you know?

June 1 of 30

Today started off as a good day. We left Albany, NY, and headed towards Plattsburgh, NY. We stopped in Plattsburgh, NY (which is an hour maximum from my house) and went to Walmart, TJ Maxx and Applebee's for lunch. My mom needed Price Chopper for Hebrew National hot dogs (they're WAY cheaper in the USA and they were on special buy 1 get 1 free this time, so it was way worth it for her!). The border again was rediculous, no line up, the guy didn't even look at our passports this time, just asked us 3 questions. When did we leave Canada? Where did we go? How much did we spend to declare? And then wished us a good day. Wow. That was easy.

Home sweet home. Feels great!

Came in, checked my mail. Discovered that Hydro Quebec sent me a letter stating that my apartment upstairs will be vacant as of June 6th. I was confused. They wanted to know who would be taking over the account. I was confused still. I also noticed that there was NO rent check left on our door like there has been every month since psycho whacko woman moved in. Anyhow, I went upstairs and knocked on her door. She wouldn't open the door at first. I told her I wanted to confirm Hydro Quebec, and she opened the door slightly. I asked her for the rent. She left to what I assume was to get the check. She back flagging papers in my face, saying something about a registered letter, and that she was not going to pay rent. She then said she wanted to talk to me, but not upstairs because her mother (old lady) and her daughter (about 15 years old) were afraid of us. (WHAT THE F???)

She starts walking down the stairs, I call Jamie to the door. She then decides she doesn't want to talk face to face to us, she's going to call us on the phone. I told her I wanted to talk to her in person. She kept saying no as she waddled herself up the stairs. (She had surgery a long time ago, and is on disability, but I think she's now milking it from my impressions). Anyhow, Jamie got pissed when I told him she's refusing to give us rent. He went and banged on her door. She refused to open it. Jamie yelled at her a bit (I didn't agree 100% with that), and we were both pissed. She is a psycho fragile single woman who thinks the world is out to get her. She called the police on us.

The police came.

We explained what happened.

She apparently told the police that the registered letter had the last month's rent check in it. WHAT?! Had she told us this, the police coming would never have happened.

So now, I hope to get this registered letter on Monday. I will be waiting at home for it. ALL DAY, until it comes.

As soon as it does come, I'm going over to her bank, which is around the corner from here, and I'm certifying the check, so that it's guaranteed to be my money. (Certifying her check basically freezes that amount that the check is for, in her account). For the 5-10$ that it will cost, I'm going to do that. I hope there's money in her account.

Also - Monday, after I go to the bank, I'm going to the Regis de Logement (Rental Board), to file an application for the damages for the upstairs for the washer/dryer.

So good news? SHE IS MOVING OUT WEDNESDAY! That's 5 more days. WEDNESDAY! Can it come sooner??? I'm excited to never have to see her face again.

On Wendesday when she's done moving her stuff, I have to call the police station, and have them escort me with her around the apartment, to make sure that there is no damage to the apartment, or anything. I want to double check everything before she leaves.

I'm dying to see what's in this registered letter she sent me. The police wouldn't let me read it, they just showed me that there was a check (photocopy of it from my tenant's copy that she showed them) and then that was it.

I feel so bad for her next landlord.

From what was a good start to her moving in... just went downhill.... I know it was impulse for her moving in ( I was stuck after kicking someone out, and she was stuck because her last apartment got flooded), but never again. I plan on triple checking everyone now before future tenants. I'm hoping that the 4 students that are moving in next will stay for a few years (providing they are good) so that I don't have to think about future tenants! And then in a few years we'll decide if we're staying at this house or not.... Depends where our family is at by then... if it's just the 3 of us.... or if there are more little one(s) by then.

So while she ruined my night, I'm HAPPY that my ticker counts down less days. I thought i was stuck with her all month..... nope!

I'm just debating now following her moving truck or not on Wednesday, to see where she moves to.... incase I need that info for when I hit her with the lawyer's letter/Rental board case for the damage she did to the apartment.

Ugh, what a mess.

An aggrevating mess.

Aggrevation I don't need. You know?

Onto the Yarn loot... I need some cheering up from the rotten end to my coming home from my trip. Let's talk about something else!

These are the three colors of cotton ease I got for something for Sean. I got 3 of each color.

This is from Webs. Sock yarn. Swizzle. One of the two is a discontinued color. It was on liquidation. The other one I got 25% off, because I spend over a certain $ amount.

I picked up 16 balls of this yarn. It's a delicious deep pink color. It's a yarn exclusive to Webs. It's their brand. It's superwash (yey for me and washing!) I'm hoping it'll be an okay substitute for the Cabled Pullover, instead of using the Cascade 220, which I got from Ariadneknits.com, which is not suitable for the sweater. I wish I would have known before purchasing it for almost 13.95$ a hank! (Now I have to find something else to make with it, and I don't even think I have enough for a sweater).

I picked up this burnt orange colored Rialto Debbie Bliss Yarn for Sean's Cabled Pullover. It's a perfect substitute, the girl who worked there helped me.

This was the loot bag from Webs. They were giving them out at the Yarn Harlot event. I ended up with 3 loot bags. One was mine. One was my mom's (who doesn't knit) and the other was my grandmother's who hasn't knit in a few years. (Thank you to them for giving it to me). From what I learned afterwards, we were given these balls of yarn and knitting needles to knit squares for collection to make blankets. There were no instructions in the goodie bag, and no pattern, nothing. So I was under the assumption it was ours to keep. (Which it is, if you don't knit a square). So I'm the lovely owner of 3 balls (3 different colors) of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran. (Love it!) (And three pairs of US8/5mm Boye Straight Needles!)

Sean is holding his bottle more and more lately. He's getting to be such a big boy. Can't wait to:
See him turn over, see him actually crawl (and not in his sleep), see his first tooth!

Sean slept with me in the bed at the hotel last night, the room was too small to open up his portable playpen/basinette thing. This was him this morning, while I organized myself and my stuff, before waking him up. He has this thing now, with sleeping on his stomach, but kinda curled up on the slight side. It's cute. It's really cute when he sticks his butt in the air.

Oh, I could stare at him for hours.

Amy, who knitted the huge glove for her hand chair, blogged about Sean on her blog. Check it out!

This weekend? Hanging out. Seeing Angela tomorrow, and Sunday - relax time. Gotta finish Season 3 of House, M.D. I've been jonesing for it while out of town.

Must get to sleep. Zonked from all that shopping!

Speaking of shopping, I'm on my ONE MONTH NO SPENDING MONEY EXCEPT FOR FOOD MONTH. The only exception is the alloted money for the Toronto Knit in Public Day, since that trip got moved, and there was alloted money for that.

(15 days until my birthday, I'm getting excited!)

ps- completed 1 more square today on Sean's blankie, and started another one. pictures to follow tomorrow.
